Han and Lily made their way to the lower floors again after gaining their pass to the thirteenth floor. The queen and her guard were extremely relieved when he told them he would be going, but once he said he might still come back after some time to train Lily again they paled! They didn’t want him to come back at all!

When Han got back to the lower floors, he and Lily were greeted happily by all the girls. Han was especially surprised to see Kim and Rin talking together happily. It seemed they had a bonding moment while he was away and became friends. That was nice. Lily didn’t tell anyone about what happened on the twelfth floor with Han. It was something she decided to keep to herself because she didn’t see a reason to share it.

Han did all of that to hell her so she is going to show him that she wasn’t as dependent as he thought!

Han didn’t care if Lily told them or not, instead he was more interested in something else. They said that some people from the Trinata guild came around when he was away! Han was surprised when he heard this and then a little pissed at himself! He should have expected them. He didn’t think they would come so quickly after he let Leona go. But it was normal for them to come investigate the death of one of their high-ranking build members, so maybe he shouldn’t be so surprised. Well, they said they will be coming back tomorrow, so Han decided just to wait for them.

……

The next day, the two Dragonborn appeared again just like they said they would, Han came to welcome them and they all took a seat at one of the tables. Rina brought them all some food and Han thanked her before she went back to serve other people. Han wanted to ask about what Leona was up to, but he held back because he didn’t know what they were doing here yet. He didn’t want to make them suspicious of anything.

The bigger man, Ragnar, was the one that spoke first. Han can only describe him as a professional wrestler on steroids! This man is huge! How did they even find armor that will fit him!? He should be like seven feet tall! And he’s just a silver Star? Talk about contrasting features!

“I’m glad you agreed to meet us. We came from the Trinata guild and we were wondering if we could ask some questions”

Han rose a brow and then looked towards the other person there. She was someone that most people would call a “jade beauty”. God, she looked like a freaking porcelain doll! Her eyes were an amazing shade of yellow that Han had never seen before. It matched perfectly with her hair and clashed brilliantly with her black horn. There is a staff in her hand so Han figured that she might be a mage-type fighter. She must use wide-area attacks and defensive skills. But he wasn’t going to make that guess just yet, it is possible she is just trying to fool people by making it seem like she didn’t know any hand-to-hand combat skills.

The woman turned to Han and saw him looking at her and she scoffed lightly before looking away. Men could never take their eyes off her whenever she went out and this is one of the reasons why she doesn’t like going out a lot. If not for the mission she was given she will never come to this first floor. This man must just be like the rest of them that only look for beautiful women to sleep with. Disgusting!

Han heard the scoff and he was a bit confused. Why was she scoffing? Ragnar looked like he already knew the reason behind it and he smiled apologetically. It seems she was someone who was used to making enemies for some reason and Ragnar was the one who calmed things down a lot of times. Han finally decided he would answer the questions they had for him.

“So what is it that you want to ask me? I don’t think I can say much if it is about what happened on the tenth floor though”

Ragnar nodded. He knew that Han must already know why they were here. They just needed to get to the bottom of this.

“We lost two of our high-ranking officers as well as two of our recruits on that floor. We will be happy if you can give us any kind of information”

Han sighed. Do you think it’s easy to just give you any form of information? You people just want to know how I managed to survive, don’t you? Stop acting like your here in peace, I can see how much you are ready to attack if something seems fishy. Why else will you come to a restaurant with full armor and your mage staff?

“I don’t remember much about what happened since me and my team managed to get out from the portal before most of the others, but all I know is that when I went back they were already killed. It was like some kind of monster slashed all of them to shreds”

Ragnar looked towards the woman subtly? The story Han gave matched perfectly with the one Leona had told them when she sent a message to them earlier. She said that some people got out earlier than others, but once the rest of them were about to leave they were attacked and many people were killed.

The woman looked like she was still doubting Han. She was Ragnar’s sister, Fey, and she was someone who didn’t trust men at all. She is already used to all the lies they would tell whenever they were trying to woo her and she has seen the worst and best of them fall to their stupid instincts while trying to get a beautiful woman. She finally spoke up for the first time.

“I don’t think we can just take your word for it. I heard from Leona that you are one of the weakest in the Temple. How can someone as weak as you survive while the gold Star Roland died? It does not make any sense”

Han sighed to make them think he was tired of being accused, but internally he was smiling! He knew that they wouldn’t believe him! They would be idiots to just believe what somebody that they have never met before says! That is why he already had the perfect organization to blame for all this! Han reached into his shirt and produced the badge that he got when he killed that innkeeper, Tully, at the beginning. Once he dropped it on the table the two of them gained wide-eyed and shocked expressions!

Ragnar reached forward and snatched the badge from the table and Han could see how his hand was shaking in anger while staring at the badge. Ragnar was feeling like killing something brutally! He couldn’t believe what killed his comrades was this same organization! This organization has been a thorn in their side since the beginning!

Fey tapped Ragnar lightly with her staff and made him calm down before she spoke to Han again. This time she sounded intense and very serious!

“Where did you get this badge? If you can find this badge then are you one of them!?”

Woah… Woah. Hold on. Don’t go blaming me for something I just happened to find. Han put his hand up with a slight frown.

“I didn’t say I was the owner. I found this when I went back to the tenth floor after I didn’t see anybody else coming out. I thought that it looked important, so I just took it. What? Is it important?”

Of course, Han already knew that it was important. Yuuma already told Han all about this badge. She said that it belonged to one of the most dangerous guilds in this Temple. The only dark guild that managed to survive for more than two centuries.

“This belongs to the Alcatraz guild. They are a dark guild that has managed to continue their activities for more than 200 years. I don’t know why they would come to the tenth floor, but if they are there then it can only mean trouble”

Han smiled as these two fell for his trick perfectly.. Hook, line, and sinker.
