Surprisingly, there weren’t many wolves near the castle ground. There was only two of them and Lily was able to take care of one of them with an ice spike to the head. The queen took care of the last one with a freezing spell and that was all. It is obvious that most of the wolves were outside the castle because they are chasing the other chosen. From what Lily could hear they are all running in this direction! It will only take a few minutes for them to reach here and if her group hasn’t done their job yet, then they will all be caught!
They charged through the gate of the castle and Lily immediately felt how Han’s presence filled the entire place! It was like he was seeing her from everywhere! This man was surely looking at them from somewhere! Lily felt like the walls were betraying her and telling Han their location! They didn’t even have a chance to surprise him!
“We already knew we wouldn’t be able to surprise him, but for him to be like this. I don’t know if I can survive against a monster like this”
The queen was the one that said this, and it was obvious that she also felt what Lily felt. The guard at the back had sweat running down the back of his neck, but he still stood tall to protect his queen. Lily was a bit impressed by it!
They were not allowed to stay back and allow the wolves to come here before they begin moving, so Lily told them to get a move in quickly. They were going to lose, but they would make sure Han didn’t win either! The queen could see that Lily was taking this personally now. It wasn’t a matter of them just distracting Han. Lily wanted to prove something. the queen didn’t know what it was, and it didn’t even look like Lily knew what it was, but it was obvious that she wanted to prove something. Well, the plan they came up with isn’t going to work for long and the chances of it failing were very high, but she will see if this girl can really pull it off!
Han was waiting alone in the room where the portal was located when the three of them came in. His back was turned to them, and he was busy thinking about what sort of meat he should use in his next special! He looked back once they came in and his red eyes made Lily shiver.
“I see you’re back already. I thought you would take longer than that”
“Now!!!”
Han’s eyes widened as Lily suddenly shouted this order to the two people with her! She isn’t even going to wait! I had a whole speech planned out dammit! Don’t just take away my villain trope from me!! Han sidestepped an ice lance that the queen threw at him, and he rose his hand up to catch the sword that the guard slashed toward his neck! Ah, it’s been a while since I saw someone using a sword to fight! Han tightened his hand around the blade and broke it before throwing the man to one side.
But the time that they bought for Lily was enough for her to finally finish the skill she wanted to activate!
[Fog of Wisteria] has been activated
The entire room erupted in a sea of white smoke and Han rose a brow in confusion. They know I can see through this smoke, right? My eyes can’t be deceived by anything in this mortal world. But Han was surprised again when a skill suddenly popped up!

… Uh… What the hell? Han looked up and saw that the queen as standing to one side alone. Lily and the other man were popping in and out of existence constantly and they were running towards the portal. Ah, so they were trying to overwhelm my system with illusions! But my Mental Defence was constantly breaking it just as quickly as this woman was creating it so they were popping in and out of my vision! it’s impressive that this woman can create something this strong this many times and her stamina hasn’t depleted yet!
Han dashed to the left and slashed with his hand across the spot where the guard was running, only for his hand to smash the man’s body into millions of ice pieces! Ha! Would you look at that! When did you get a skill like this Lily? Physical constructs that you can move and control like puppets! I didn’t know you could hide anything from me!
Han’s eyes swirled and he turned to the side to see the guard was already standing at the portal. The man had a desperate expression on his face as he activated a skill quickly! The wall on the left side of the room rippled and all the chosen that were running through the forest suddenly passed through the wall and raced for the portal together! Han could stop them. He could’ve used any of his skills and taken them all out. He could even move fast enough to stop that guard’s skill before they even know what they were doing.
But Han decided that he would give them this small victory. They already faced something that was far more dangerous than this floor should ever be, and they still have that will to survive inside of them. It was admirable!
The guard could feel his entire body vibrating in anxiousness as he tried his best to remain calm! If this man decided to act now, he knew that they would all die! He was told by Lily that the man would allow them to go since he had already come to the portal, it was just like saying that they already won! Please! Don’t act out of character now!
The last person finally passed through the portal and the guard fell to his knees while breathing heavily. They did it! They managed to pass it! A laugh echoed through the room as Han threw his head back in hysteria! This was not a bad plan Lily. Very simple, but also very effective! He turned towards Lily and she was standing opposite Han with a hard expression on her face. She still hasn’t gone through the portal because it was obvious that even if Han allowed everybody else, he would not let her go.
“You’ve been training Lily. I didn’t know you could make physical contracts like that. Can you only make them run? Or can you control them anyhow you wish?”
Lily glared at Han and her hand formed a long ice sword. She didn’t have any intention of telling him about what she could do yet. Not until she finally beat him. But Han still had that look in his eyes! That look showed her that she wasn’t even a challenge for him! For some reason that look was more annoying than anything else Han already did in this floor!
“Why!? Why did you push me away? I love you, Han! And you just pushed me away! Why!?”
“Because I won’t always be there!!”
