But what he needed to focus on right now was taking care of the girls and making sure they would settle in before he began his plans. He needed the three necessities as soon as possible. Food, water, and shelter. For those things, he would probably need to get a job of some sort. Well, either that or he could just take them from someone else. It wasn’t like anyone could stop him from doing whatever he wanted.

But he would have to first make sure all the girls – Wait. Where’s Rina!?

“Han-Oppa!!!”

Han and all the other girls turned around to see Rina waving at them from beside a stall. She was standing with another girl that has cat ears and a tail behind her. Han watched as Rina dragged the girl over. The girl obviously looked like she was uncomfortable, but something about her just didn’t sit well with Han.

“Han-Oppa, look! This is Millie, and she said she can help us!”

The catgirl, Millie, had brown hair and brown cat features. There was no Star on her arm, so Han realized that she wasn’t one of the chosen like him, she was probably someone that just came along with another chosen. She was blushing in embarrassment as Rina kept on pushing her to talk. Han sighed. Come on, Rina. I know you like cute things, but you can’t just talk to anyone you meet on the road. People could be psychopaths, you know. And don’t you know that anyone else here can probably kill you with a flick of their finger!?

Han eyed the cat girl and she squeaked as he came closer to her and looked her in the eye.

“You said you can help us? How? And you better not think you can lie to us about anything”

The girl took a step back in fright and Rina glared at Han! Don’t bully the cute cat girl Han-Oppa!!

Han could literally feel Rina’s glare boring into him and he turned his eyes away with a deadpan. How can this girl’s glare still be this strong!? He saw Rin Woo take Rina’s hand and pull her back to them and Han was silently grateful to her. Rina wouldn’t understand if he just told her that she couldn’t do whatever she wanted. At least Rin understood.

“I-I know you’re new here, so I just thought you were looking for a place to stay. My family runs an inn on the other side of the street. If you want, you can come and stay for a while”

Now if this didn’t sound shady, Han didn’t know what did. She was just waiting in front of the house where newcomers would gather so she would find someone to stay at her family’s inn? Really?

“We don’t have any money. How do you think we can pay?”

The girl’s eyes suddenly lit up and she seemed to get some gusto into her voice.

“W-We just need you to help us hunt for some food! My mother isn’t very healthy so it’s hard for my father to go out and find food, so we need someone to help us! If you can find the food for us then we’ll take care of your food and shelter for some time!”

A sick mother? Han hummed and thought about the offer for a while. It wasn’t a bad offer at all, he could easily get food if he wanted to, but the only thing that irked him was that he didn’t fully trust this girl. There was just something about her that made his skin crawl in a way he hadn’t felt in a long time, not since that bastard Jin Ham, but that was just a small part of him. Nothing could make him as disgusted as Jin could. He turned and saw that the five girls agreed, well at least Rin, Lily, and Yue were in agreement. They didn’t mind hunting for food if it was to get somewhere to rest. But Miss Kim was also looking at the girl in a calculative way. It seemed she was just as suspicious as he was.

Kim was once the sole woman in a large business sector dominated by men, so it was no surprise to Han that she would be able to fish out shady people. But after a while, she also nodded since she didn’t think the offer was a bad one. She didn’t know anything about this world yet, so her suspicion might have been for nothing.

But Rina… Oh sweet, sweet Rina trusted her one hundred percent! It was like Rina found someone she wanted to be friends with at any cost. Han knew it wasn’t the best idea, but he decided to go along with it for his sister’s sake. He just hoped that this girl would not break Rina’s heart. It would have deadly consequences.

And so, Han and the other girls followed after the cat girl. As they walked, Han noticed how Rina kept on talking animatedly to the cat girl. They were laughing and chatting like close friends. The cat girl, Millie, explained that this world was very huge on every floor. Just like they heard before from that Celestial, it was necessary to solve a challenge before you could get to any floor, but floors one to nine had easy challenges that just anyone could probably solve, it was only every tenth floor that had a challenge that required more than one person and that was why guilds were formed.

She also explained that there has never been anyone that went past the fiftieth floor in the Temple before. She once heard that there was one man that almost went through it, but he had to come back since most of his guild members died and he hasn’t tried to go there again since then. He was the leader of the strongest guild currently and he says he would only go there again if he can gather a total of ten gold Stars, ten silver Stars, and a hundred bronze Stars to take that challenge with him.

Han couldn’t believe that there was a challenge here that would need that many people to fight. Just how big would that challenge be? And if they were fighting with that many people, then the floor they were fighting on would have to be gigantic!

Han didn’t know how big these floors were since he hasn’t gone around yet, but if it could hold enough enemies for a hundred people to fight, then it had to be at least as big as city C! He would have to find out more about it later.

The seven of them arrived at the inn that the girl spoke about. It was a small duplex at the corner of the street. They were led inside and Han saw a man standing at a receptionist desk in front. Once they entered, the man looked up at them with a smile. He was also a feline with brown cat ears and a tail. The girl waved at him happily.

“Dad! I found some customers!”

The man came out to greet them with a jovial air and Han shook his hand while keeping his eyes on everything around. The inn was just like a regular western-style house, it had wooden floors and a wooden ceiling. Everything in it was made of wood, just like one of those medieval houses!

“Hello, my name is Tully. Welcome to the Tully inn. Are you new to the Temple? It’s always a pleasure to welcome new fighters.”

Han rose a brow before he looked down and saw a silver Star on the man’s palm. Interesting.

He felt the man increase his strength and Han couldn’t help but think the man was trying to test his power. He pulled his hand back before he broke this man’s hand and the man’s smile widened. Suddenly, someone walked out from a room to the left, and Han’s eyes shot towards the door quickly as it was closing. He just caught a whiff of metal. Blood? Nah, maybe it was something else? The person who came out gave a small bag to Tully and the man smiled while thanking him. The bag jiggled and Han could only think that it was probably payment for the room.

The man was very nice to them and he didn’t even seem bothered by their number. Instead, he seemed overjoyed. He turned to Millie and told her to show them to their rooms. One room in the inn could only fit three people and the intensity the five women showed shocked the family! The women realized that only two people could stay with Han!

It was a fierce battle of wit and silent eyes conversations, but in the end, Yue and Rina won and claimed the room! Han could hear Lily shouting about how unfair it was all the way down the hall as Rin dragged her out. He chuckled and then led the two girls in.

Once they were gone, Tully looked towards his daughter and nodded his head while walking back to his desk. It was good that she found these people, her mother was getting cranky again. He tried to look into the strength of that man when they came, but the man removed his hand before he could properly gauge it. Tully was sure he was stronger than that Han, Han must’ve been too scared to squeeze back in case he broke his own arm. Millie lifted one finger in inquiry and he nodded in agreement. They would start at 1 a..m.
