Chapter 19: Principle Sword Sect

The Principle Sword Sect was a neighboring sect to the Fleeting Sword Sect, located at the borders of the Qiang Province.

It took almost two weeks just for Senior Wu to arrive at the Principle Sword Sect on a flying treasure that traveled thousands of miles per hour.

Upon arrival, he was personally greeted by an ordinary-looking middle-aged man, Shuai Qing, their Sect Leader.

"Welcome to my humble Principle Sword Sect, Grand Elder Wu." Shuai Qing welcomed him with a warm smile and a respectful bow.

In terms of influence, the Principle Sword Sect slightly trailed behind the Fleeting Sword Sect, hence why Shuai Qing treated Senior Wu as though they were equals despite the disparity between their position.

Senior Wu responded by clasping his hands and bowing, "Thank you for seeing me despite the short notice, Sect Leader Shuai. Did Sect Leader Han tell you the details of my visit?"

Shuai Qing shook his head, "No, I was only notified of your visit. Let's talk elsewhere over some tea, shall we?"

"Of course."

Shuai Qing led Senior Wu back to his own place. Inside, they sat across from each other, sipping on spiritual tea in a tranquil atmosphere for a few minutes before delving into their conversation.

"I am actually here for some advice regarding a disciple we've recently recevied." Senior Wu started the conversation.

"What sort of advice?" Shuai Qing raised his eyebrows. Advising the Grand Elder of the Fleeting Sword Sect was on his 'least expected' list.

"You see, one of our new disciples was gifted with a naturally powerful yang body. We've never had a disciple like him before, and we have no experts in that field, hence why I came to you, Sect Leader Shuai. I was told that you are experienced with Yang Qi."

Shuai Qing nodded and asked, "I see your problem now. Do you know what kind of yang body this disciple has specifically?"

"Unfortunately, we do not. However, Madam Shao said it could be the Divine Yang Body or the Solar Yang Constitution."

"Divine Yang Body or the Solar Yang Constitution?!?!" Shuai Qing reacted with extreme shock upon hearing this.

Both of these Heavenly Constitutions were extremely rare and powerful. It was something Shuai Qing could only dream of acquiring.

"If this disciple truly has either of these physiques, I must congratulate your Fleeting Sword Sect. Both the Divine Yang Body and the Solar Yang Constitution are considered to be top Heavenly Constitutions." Shuai Qing said.

"Do you think you can confirm his physique?" Senior Wu then asked. Considering Shuai Qing's experience, he should have what it takes to identify Su Yang's Heavenly Constitution.

However, Shuai Qing shook his head and sighed, "Unfortunately, I have never seen either of these physiques before, so even if they are presented before me, I would not be able to identify them. They are simply beyond my scope of understanding. I'm sorry."

"Is that so..." Senior Wu mumbled, looking disappointed.

"However..." Shuai Qing suddenly continued, "I happen to know an acquaintance who will surely be able to identify his Heavenly Constitution."

"Oh? Who is this person?" Senior Wu's interest was immediately piqued.

Shuai Qing's face suddenly turned red, almost as though he was recalling something embarrassing.

"S-she's a Sect Elder at the Eternal Devotion Valley."

"Eternal Devotion Valley? I have never heard of this place before." Senior Wu raised an eyebrow.

"They are a small sect that was only established recently. They specialize in... dual cultivation."

Senior Wu's eyes widened with shock, but he quickly frowned afterward.

"Dual cultivation?! I won't let those lustful deviants get anywhere near my disciple!" Senior Wu snapped.

Startled by his outburst, Shuai Qing quickly said, "I am aware of their negative public image, but they are not as bad as they appear in the rumors."

Senior Wu narrowed his eyes at him and asked, "You're not saying that because you have experienced their techniques, right?"

Shuai Qing immediately started coughing and clearing his throat at such an accusation, yet he didn't refuse or acknowledge it.

"Unless you want to travel to the Divine Yang Sword Mountain in Martial Heaven, you will have a hard time finding someone with as much knowledge," he said a moment later.

"The Divine Yang Sword Mountain? These elites wouldn't even bat an eye for an old man like me, so they are out of the question." Senior Wu said.

"I'm sorry, Grand Elder, but I have already given you all the advice I could." Shuai Qing sighed.

After a moment of silence, Senior Wu said, "Give me the name of your acquaintance from the Eternal Devotion Valley just in case."

Shuai Qing nodded with a slight smile on his face.

Senior Wu left the Principle Sword Sect shortly after and continued his search for a Yang Qi expert.

Two months passed in the blink of an eye and Senior Wu returned to the Fleeting Sword Sect emptyhanded.

"So, did you find anyone?" Han Jianzhi asked upon his return.

"Unfortunately not."

"Not even Shuai Qing could help you?"

Senior Wu shook his head and sighed, "At this rate, I have to ask a dual cultivator for help."

"Is that really such a bad idea? It's not like you're asking them to cultivate with Su Yang."

"..." Senior Wu could only remain silent.

"It's almost been three months since Su Yang started training the Sword Tyrant's Void Insights. I will decide after his evaluation," he eventually said.

Han Jianzhi nodded, "I have some time next week."

"Then we'll evaluate him then."

A week later, Senior Wu and Han Jianzhi made their way to Su Yang's living quarters.

Huang Xiaoyun also happened to return to Fleeting Sword Peak from her training right as they arrived.

"This disciple greets the Sect Leader and Master!" Huang Xiaoyun hastily bowed to them.

"Perfect timing, Disciple Huang. Would you like to witness your Junior Apprentice Disciple's progress with us?" Senior Wu asked her.

"What kind of progress?" she asked with a curious gaze.

"I gave him the Sword Tyrant's Void Insights three months ago."

"Wha–?! Master, that's not fair! You gave me that technique only after I reached the Profound Spirit Realm! Junior Apprentice Brother hasn't even begun his cultivation yet!" Huang Xiaoyun immediately called out this injustice.

Senior Wu ignored her complaints and smiled, "So you don't want to watch?"

"..."

"I do!" she eventually said.
