Chapter 497 Bidding farewell (2)
"Thap! Thap! Thap", a beautiful melody of lovemaking rang in the air as Shui Liying rode Zhan Chen's dragon. Her majestic snowy white peaks bounced up nicely as she moved her waist up and down.

"Husband, don't be mischievous. Other commanders has already left the Grey ash city. So, you should let me go", Shui Liying spoke. Her body was also starting to heat up as she felt the reaction from Zhan Chen's dragon. But she knew it was not the time to be willful. So, she suggested Zhan Chen to stop their dual cultivation.
Zhan Chen held her snowy white peaks and gave them a massage. Shui Liying wanted to say something but instead of words, a soft moan escaped her mouth.

He easily beleived Shui Liying's words without knowing the full meaning behind her words. If he learned what kind of cultivation his aloof junior sister was doing, he would have died of shock.

Zhan Chen led his army out of the Grey ash city after bidding farewell to Shui Liying. He was at the forefront as he organised his army and led them towards the distant battlefield.
"Captains, keep following commander Wei and commander Guo's armies. We will decide our next course of action after ascertaining their halting location", Zhan Chen spoke.
Commander Li Wei and commander Hui Guo travelled for almost an hour before stopping their armies. After scouting around the surrounding area, they decided to stop near a hilly location.
The area had three hills spreading horizontally, lying next to eachother. The two commanders, Hui Guo and Li Wei decided to make this place as their new temporary base.
Zhan Chen was observing the movement of two commanders through his soul consciousness. So, he could easily understand why they chose the hilly area as their temporary base.
There was no sign of devils near the hilly area but some distance ahead, there was signs of devils' movement. Both Hui Guo and Li Wei sent some capable subordinates of theirs to scout ahead. So, they got information about devils' presence in the nearby area.
By occupying the high ground, they could easily observe the movements of the devils' army. Moreover, their troops could rush back to the hills if they fell into a disadvantage in the battle. Both Li Wei and Hui Guo were planning to convert the hilly area into their stronghold.
"Is Zhan Chen's army still following us?", Hui Guo asked Li Wei.
"Yes, they are probably still following us. Given Zhan Chen's intelligence, he most have realised that it would be best to stick together", Li Wei replied.
"This is for the best. I don't care about a snotnosed brat like him but he has capable subordinates. He Yu, Lu Cheng, Qian Shanni, none of them are weaker than us. Especially He Yu and Qian Shanni, I still can't beleive that they choose to take position under Zhan Chen", Hui Guo spoke.
"Brother Guo, you can't underestimate Zhan Chen. There is a reason why general Chao makes him a commander. If you can't see him as an equal, that is fine but don't disrespect him no matter what. Even emperors of my Xuantian sect never behaves with him rudely", Li Wei spoke.
"Fine, I will not make things difficult for him. But to treat a snotnosed brat as an equal, that is beyond me. A person's acheivement determines how much respect he or she can command. We will see how capable he actually is. I want to know why Ying Chao appoints a brat like him as commander", Hui Guo spoke.
