Chapter 481 Stunned crowd
"Li Wei, step out. I am appointing you as the first commander", Ying Chao spoke. He looked towards a burly elder who was standing among the Xuantian sect experts.
"Senior, many thanks. I will do my best as a commander", the burly elder stepped out and bowe his head to express his gratitude. His cultivation was at the late stage of Heavenly tribulation realm and his aura was very fierce. So, no one had any objection as Li Wei was selected as the first commander.
Ying Chao looked around as he examined the crowd to identify the second candidate. His gaze finally stopped on a lean old man who was standing among the Xuantian sect elders. The elder appeared quite old but he appeared to be a capable fighter.
Zhan Chen learned his identity after Ying Chao called him out. "Zhi Jiang, step out. I am appointing you as the second commander", Ying Chao spoke.
The old man was startled for a moment but he nodded his head calmly. He stepped out and walked forward to stand beside Li Wei. "Brother Chao, thanks for beleiving in me. I will do my utmost to assist you in the upcoming battles", the old man spoke as he bowed politely towards Ying Chao.
Many experts had perplexed expression on their faces as they witnessed the second appointment. All of them knew Li Wei as he was quite popular among the Xuantian sect elders but as for Zhi Jiang, many had no information about him.

"Brother Hui Guo, are you willing to be the third commander?", Ying Chao looked towards a stout looking elder who was standing in the back of the crowd. He had a carefree expression at first but his facial expression changed as soon as he heard Ying Chao's words.
"Ying Chao, you cunning bitch, don't involve me in your mess. I am only here to protect the disciples of my Golden serpent sect", the stout looking elder lashed out immediately. There was a stunned silence among the crowd as they heard the profanities coming naturally from the old man's mouth. No one could beleive that someone would use such uncouth languages in such a solemn atmosphere.
There was disbelief in the onlookers's eyes but Ying Chao was nonchalant. His expression didn't change at all even after he heard the profanities directed at him. "Brother Hui Guo, I am only being considerate towards you. If you don't accept, I will let junior sister Lin Jia lead you all to battle. Don't cry then if you got driven by your nose", Ying Chao calmly spoke.
"Lin Jia! Why would she get to lead us all? She is not even present in the Grey ash city", Hui Guo loudly protested.
"Who said she is not present? Ask the members of the Jade orchid pavilion, whether she is inside the Grey ash city or not", Ying Chao smiled slightly. Hui Guo clenched his fists furiously as he observed the calm expression on Ying Chao 's face.
"Fine, you win. I will acknowledge you as the general for a while", Hui Guo spoke. He stepped out from behind the crowd and came to stand alongwith Li Wei and Zhi Jiang. He didn't even bother to greet Ying Chao as stood beside the two commanders.
"It is decided then. Brother Hui Guo will be the third commander", Ying Chao announced. Zhan Chen felt slightly amused as he witnessed the interaction between Ying Chao and Hui Guo.
"As for the fourth commander, I have already decided his name since my appointment as a general. My decision may startle many of you but I believe in my decision", Ying Chao spoke. He turned to look towards the place where Zhan Chen, Chu Haoran and Huo Xixi were standing.
"Zhan Chen, step forward. I am appointing you as the fourth commander", Ying Chao spoke. Both Huo Xixi and Chu Haoran was stunned by Ying Chao's words but Zhan Chen was completely calm at this moment.
"Senior, are you sure?", he raised head and asked Ying Chao.
"I stand by my decision. What I want to know is whether you are confident or not?", Ying Chao looked towards Zhan Chen.
"It is slightly troublesome but it is not something I can't handle", Zhan Chen replied.
"I am assured then. You may step forward", Ying Chao spoke. Zhan Chen walked to the forefront amidst many questioning eyes.
Hui Guo examined Zhan Chen alongwith other experts. A surprised expression appeared on his face when he couldn't see through Zhan Chen's cultivation base. 'This old fool, he really knows how to play games. This brat appear too tender on the surface but people will be damned if they undermine him due to his appearance', he thought to himself.
Zhan Chen stepped forward and came to stand beside Hui Guo, Li Wei and Zhi Jiang. His expression was nonchalant from beginning to end as he calmly stood alongwith other commanders.
"General Chao, are you joking with us? How can you appointment someone as young as him to be a commander?", an old man questioned Ying Chao. Many others stared towards Ying Chao as they waited for an explanation.
