Chapter 457 Reluctance
"So, you are leaving already?", Xie Lanying, the second princess looked towards Zhan Chen with a reluctant expression on her face.
She didn't bother to stop Zhan Chen from going to the battlefield rather she chose to express her feelings to Zhan Chen. Both Zhan Chen and she had just became together. So, she was both mentally and physically unwilling to let Zhan Chen leave her side.
Zhan Chen Chen felt his heart would melt if the most beautiful girl in the world looked at him with this gaze. "Lanying, come closer", Zhan Chen spoke. There were Zhou Xiaoling and little dragon, Long Xinyu watching from the side. But Xie Lanying still listened to Zhan Chen's words and walked closer towards Zhan Chen.
Zhan Chen pulled her into his embrace and cupped her face. "Princess, I will try to solve few of your problems while I am in the battlefield. After my return, we can stay together as much as you want", Zhan Chen replied.
Xie Lanying only tightened her grip around Zhan Chen's back as she didn't speak anything. She was feeling really reluctant to part with Zhan Chen like this.
"Lanying, are you not going to call me little brother anymore?", Zhan Chen chuckled. He tried to cheer her up slightly after seeing her so emotional.
"No,I will call you Zhan Chen. Is it okay to call you by your name?", she tilted her head.
"No problem. This is what you supposed to call me in our first day. But you kept calling me little brother and I got to experience how a beautiful elder sister take care of her little brother", Zhan Chen replied. A deep blush appeared on Xie Lanying's face as her beautiful cheeks got reddened.
"Are not you getting late?", she spoke to shift the topic. Both Zhou Xiaoling and Long Xinyu could see, how embarassed Xie Lanying was at this moment. Both of them chuckled after seeing the sight infront of them.
"Lanying, I am leaving but before that let me tell you something. It is about Xiaoling and mine relationship. I didn't get an opportunity to mention it while I am with you", Zhan Chen spoke.
"Xiaoling?", Xie Lanying raised her eyebrow. Zhou Xiaoling lowered her head as she didn't wish to meet the eyes of her young miss at this moment.
"Xiaoling, you should have told me. But it doesn't matter. It is not like that he don't have other women to begin with", Xie Lanying spoke.
"It is good that you understand", Zhan Chen chuckled. He cupped Xie Lanying's face and planted a kiss on her lips. Long Xinyu's face became reddened as she chose to not look at the blatant display of love.
Zhan Chen walked towards Zhou Xiaoling after kissing Xie Lanying. "Xiaoling, it is unfortunate that I don't get to spend time with you. Don't worry though. I will make sure to spend some time with you in my next visit", Zhan Chen spoke with an apologetic expression.
"I don't mind. Just return safely from the battlefield", Zhou Xiaoling replied. Zhan Chen gave a kiss on her lips as well before bidding both the beauties farewell.
"Little girl, let's go", he spoke to Long Xinyu as he walked out of Xie Lanying's personal space. An awkward silence descended upon Xie Lanying's room after Zhan Chen left. Xie Lanying was silent and Zhou Xiaoling was feeling very complex emotion at this moment.
Finally, it was Xie Lanying who couldn't tolerate the torturing silence anymore. "Xiaoling", she called out as she looked towards Zhou Xiaoling.
"Thud!", to her surprise Zhou Xiaoling knelt down on the floor. "Young miss, I am sorry to not inform you about Zhan Chen", she spoke while still avoiding Xie Lanying's eyes.
"Girl, what are you doing?", Xie Lanying narrowed her eyes. She hurriedly went over and helped Zhou Xiaoling to stand again.
"Xiaoling, look at me", she commanded with a stern voice.
Zhou Xiaoling had no choice but to look at Xue Lanying at this moment. "Are you feeling guilty?", Xie Lanying asked.
Zhou Xiaoling nodded her head. "Then are you ready to receive your punishment?", Xie Lanying asked.
"Yes, young miss. I am ready to suffer any punishment you bestowed upon me. I have failed to report you about Zhan Chen. So, I have broken your trust. Iaccept whatever punishment you decide for me", Zhou Xiaoling spoke. This time, she didn't avoid Xie Lanying's eyes as she raised her head to look at Xie Lanying.
"Well then, you are not allowed to back down now. I want you to be Zhan Chen's personal maid when he visit my place next time. Also, I want you to share all the details about your time with Zhan Chen", Xie Lanying spoke with a straight face.
Zhou Xiaoling stood stunned for a moment after hearing Xie Lanying's words. "Miss, you are not going to punish me?", she looked towards Xie Lanying with disbelief on her face.
"Have you not heard me? I have already announced your punishment. You are not allowed to back down now", Xie Lanying spoke sternly. However, Zhou Xiaoling noticed how she was doing her best not to laugh.
"Young miss, you are teasing me", she muttered with disbelief on her face. She knew how imperial family dealt with disloyal subordinates. Although she was close to Xie Lanying, she would have received punishment if it was a normal occurrence. But now, she could see that her young miss was not at all serious about giving her any punishment. Instead, she was trying to tease her when she was serious about apologizing.
"Alright girl, don't be like this. I wouldn't have punished you even if Zhan Chen was not my man. I would have feel mad but it did not mean I would have punished you. As for now, punishing you is completely impossible. You should realise, both of us are already in the same boat", Xie Lanying spoke.
"Although, I will appreciate if I get to know about your time with Zhan Chen. Like his preference and what he liked most about you", Xie Lanying looked towards Zhou Xiaoling with curiousity. Zhou Xiaoling blushed slightly but she still chose to satisfy the curiousity of her young miss.
"Young miss, it seems like he loves to do it from.....When I am with him, he is almost like a...", Zhou Xiaoling narrated with reddened cheeks. The more she spoke, the redder she got. Xie Lanying also felt a strange itch in her lower body as she heard to Zhou Xiaoling 's narration.
'Only if I could have got him for another day', she thought to herself with a blush on her face. Both master and subordinate discussed about Zhan Chen and both of their faces were equally red.

Zhan Chen met with Shui Liying and Xuantian sect cultivators outside the city gate. "Shall we leave?", Shui Liying asked. Zhan Chen nodded his head as he took a look at the Xuantian sect cultivators.
Among the cultivators, Zhan Chen noticed his personal group. There were his women and the subordinates who had followed him in the battle of the Yellow stone city. Hui Ling, Yin Ran and Xue Yi turned to look towards him and he smiled back towards them.
"Depart", Ying Chao ordered and the Xuantian sect cultivators rode their magical beast mounts. Shui Liying took out her flying treasure and along with Zhan Chen, she followed behind the Xuantian sect group.
"Husband, let's go to the Grey ash city first. I need to to tend to the injured. After treating them, we will think of a place where you can face your fourth tribulation", Shui Liying spoke.
