Chapter 443 Sky dragon alliance
"Flap, flap", a twin headed dragon flapped it's wings as it carried Xie Lanying and Zhan Chen on it's back. There was not much talk between Zhan Chen and Xie Lanying as silence loomed in the air.
It was not like they didn't want to talk but the situation forced them to maintain propriety. The golden armoured guards of the Xie family were following the twin headed dragon like shadows. Both Zhan Chen and Xie Lanying were sensible people. So, they chose to wait untill they reach the headquarter of the Sky dragon alliance.
The headquarter of the Sky dragon alliance was located in the middle of the Jade harmony city. It was a three storied lavish building which used to be city lord's palace. Now the Xie family had taken over it and converted it to the headquarter of the Sky dragon alliance. It was also the base of the imperial Xie family's forces.
"Little brother, we heave reached the headquarter", Xie Lanying spoke. She patted the twin headed dragon's head and it descended downward.
"Princess, thank you very much. It is a wonderful feeling to ride a majestic beast like this", Zhan Chen commented.
"I am glad that you like the ride. You can tell me if you want another ride like this. I will accompany you to whatever place you like", Xie Lanying softly added. She used mental communication to speak the last line. So, the golden armoured warriors were clueless about what length she was willing to go for Zhan Chen. They were still surprised nevertheless. It was the first time they had seen the second princess allowing a man on the twin headed dragon.
They were not the only ones who were surprised. It was the entire imperial Xie family forces who were surprised by Xie Lanying's action. "Who is this young man?", it was the common question in everyone's head.
The disbelief in everyone's eyes couldn't escape Zhan Chen's perception. But he still acted nonchlant and followed Xie Lanying into the Sky dragon alliance's headquarter.
"Little brother, you have just arrived into the Jade harmony city after a long journey. Why don't you take a little rest? I can still show you around after we sit down for a while", Xie Lanying spoke. She couldn't be more clear about how much she wanted to talk with Zhan Chen.
Zhan Chen was not the one to miss such a heaven sent chance. He readily accepted Xie Lanying's proposal with a smile on his face. "Princess, lead the way. It will be impolite of me to reject your proposal when you are being so considerate", Zhan Chen spoke.
To the utter surprise of Xie family subordinates, she brought Zhan Chen towards her personal living space. "Who is this brat actually? To think the second princess would bring him to the second floor!", the Xie family's subordinates felt more curious about Zhan Chen.
"Xiaoling, come out. We have a guest today", Xie Lanying called out after reaching her personal space. A mature beauty walked out from a room and it was the turn of Zhan Chen to feel surprised. He was not expecting to see Zhou Xiaoling in the headquarter of the Sky dragon alliance.
She appeared more charming and beautiful than few months earlier. She blinked her eyes in surprise after seeing Zhan Chen with Xie Lanying. "Xiaoling, I think I don't have to introduce him to you. You two have already met in the Golden leaf pavillion branch of the Yellow stone city", Xie Lanying spoke. She was keeping tab on Zhan Chen since the incident in the Cleansing incense ancient sect. So, it was not a surprise that she knew about Zhan Chen's visit to the Golden leaf pavilion.
"Yes, I am already acquianted with young master Chen", Zhou Xiaoling controlled her excited heart and replied with a calm voice.
"That makes things easier. Call few of my personal maids. So that, they can tend to little brother Chen's need", Xie Lanying instructed.
"Young miss, I will call them right away", Zhou Xiaoling took her leave. But she didn't forget to sneak glance at Zhan Chen who was standing beside Xie Lanying.
"Little brother, take a seat. Make yourself comfortable", Xie Lanying offered a seat to Zhan Chen. Zhan Chen nodded his head and walked towards a beautifully carved stone chair. Xie Lanying sat opposite to him and looked towards Zhan Chen.
"Little brother, can I ask you few questions?", Xie Lanying asked. Her eagerness to talk with Zhan Chen could be seen from her eyes.
"Princess, you are behaving as if we are strangers. Let me make it clear. You don't need permission to ask me any questions", Zhan Chen replied.
Xie Lanying felt warmth surging in her heart after she heard Zhan Chen's words. If it was any normal time what Zhan Chen had spoken would have felt pretty natural to her because no men would be foolish enough to deny a conversation with the topmost beauty of the Northern desert continent. Yet, because of the Soul seed technique, such ordinary words from Zhan Chen were able to warm her heart.
Zhou Xiaoling returned with four pretty maids. Both Zhan Chen and Xie Lanying shifted their eyes towards her after she came back.
"Bring in some Cloud crest plum for little brother. Bring the Wyrmblood wine as well. Don't let anyone enter inside unless it is very urgent", Xie Lanying instructed to her maids.
"Xiaoling, tell our imperial chefs to prepare some spirit beast meat. Ensure that they use the best grade of meat available to us", she instructed to Zhou Xiaoling.
"Young miss, don't worry. I will handle this", Zhou Xiaoling spoke. She took a glance towards Zhan Chen as a thought appeared in her mind. "Young miss is done for. Seems like she has already fallen for young master Chen", she thought to herself.
'I can't stop thinking about him as well. I am still in control when he is not around. But now.....', she clamped her thighs tightly to control the stirring she was feeling inside her little sister.
Zhan Chen could see how sincere was Xie Lanying in treating him. The Soul seed technique could affect her heart and mind but it couldn't control her action in any way. She was willing to take out such treasures in their first meet, it went to show, what kind of person she actually was. Ordinary prince or princess would never take out treasures like Cloud crest plum and Wyrmblood wine even if they were meeting their love interest for the first time. At least one thing was confirmed that the second princess, Xie Lanying was not a singy person at all.
"Little brother Chen, who else is in your family beside you?", Xie Lanying asked. She felt it was only natural to know about Zhan Chen's family since she was planning to get closer to him.
"I have my mother and father. Besides that I have my elder sister Qingyue, uncles and aunts. My grandmother is still alive as well", Zhan Chen replied with a smile. Xie Lanying's heart skipped a beat after she saw the the soft smile on Zhan Chen's face.
"Princess, what about you?", Zhan Chen asked in return.
