"Long Xinyu, come out", Zhan Chen went to meet with the little dragon after finishing his dual cultivation with Shui Liying. He was planning to leave the Xuantian sect after meeting Long Xinyu.
Long Xinyu didn't seem to be cultivating at this moment as she appeared just after Zhan Chen called her out. She had a questioning expression on her face as she looked towards Zhan Chen.
"Big baddie, why have you called me out? From the scent from your body, I can tell that you are doing some indecent things before coming here", Long Xinyu spoke. There was a disdainful look on her face as she looked towards Zhan Chen.
"Little girl, the situation outside is getting more chaotic. There is one after another war which I can't avoid. If it continues, I may not return to the Xuantian sect for a while. So, I want to hear your opinion. Looking at how hectic my schedule will be, I can't provide you food if you stays here", Zhan Chen spoke.
"Who wants to stay here? I am already bored in these past few days. I have already explored the surrounding area. So, there is nothing to see here. It will be best if you bring me out", Long Xinyu spoke.
"You have sneaked out from the cave while I am not here?", Zhan Chen furrowed his eyebrows.
A hint of panick appeared on Long Xinyu's face as she tried to shift her eyes. "What is the problem? I am careful to not disturb anyone when I sneaked out", she retorted with shifty eyes.
"Fine. I will let it slide this time. The next place we are travelling is the Jade harmony city. There will be plenty of emperor realm experts guarding there. I warn you to listen to me. Otherwise, I will stop taking responsibility for you", Zhan Chen spoke.
'Who wants you to take my responsibility?", Long Xinyu thought fiercely in her mind. But on the outside, she nodded her head obediently and promised that she will listen to Zhan Chen's words.
Zhan Chen spread his soul consciousness and found Li Yan and Kai Min cultivating. It was only Li Shu who was sleeping idly in her room. Zhan Chen sent her a mental communication and she came out. Zhan Chen pulled her into his embrace and gave her a gentle kiss.
"Shameless", Zhan Chen could heard the voice of Long Xinyu coming from thin air. Zhan Chen ignored her and looked towards Li Shu.
"Li Shu, I can bring you to the Weapon refinement union right away but it is not a good time for you to leave my side. Devils are emerging from one place after another. So, it is not the best idea to join the Weapon refinement union at this moment. Let the situation cool down a little. Rather than going to an unknown location, why don't you practice in our Xuantian sect?", Zhan Chen spoke.
"Of course, the decision is yours. I will support you no matter what decision you take", he further added.
Li Shu didn't talk for a moment. She was normally an easygoing girl but at this moment a thoughtful expression appeared on her face. Zhan Chen didn't disturb her as he gave her some time to contemplate.
"I really want to join the Weapon refinement union because they are the best in our continent. But I believe in young master's words. I will go to the Weapon refinement union after this war is over. Untill then, I want to practice in the Xuantian sect. I can only trouble young master to arrange a test for me in the Weapon refinement peak", Li Shu spoke.

"Husband, what happens to senior sister Mei? She seems to have entered a deep cultivation state?", Shui Liying asked after meeting Zhan Chen.

Both of them had already made arrangements in the sect. Shui Liying had handed over the Serene bamboo peak's charge to one of the senior elders. In the mean time, Zhan Chen had visited the Weapon refinement peak of the Xuantian sect and had made arrangement for Li Shu.
It was time for them to depart. Shui Liying brought out her flying treasure and rode it with Zhan Chen. She infused her essence energy into her flying treasure and the boat shaped flying treasure flew away.
"Liying, pick a secluded location for me. I will break through to the Heavenly tribulation realm before joing the Sky dragon alliance", Zhan Chen spoke.
They crossed over the Blue qilin mountain range and came into a vast plane of the Earth province. The sky was already darkening by the moment they left the Xuantian sect. Light gradually faded and night descended upon the sky of the Earth province. Shui Liying chose to stop the flying treasure when they came across a forest.
"Husband, there is no human settlement nearby. It is already night. So, there is low chance that we will encounter any human cultivator", Shui Liying spoke.
"Is this to your liking?", she looked towards Zhan Chen.

Shui Liying put away her flying treasure and along with Zhan Chen, she descended into the forest. Zhan Chen looked around and found a good spot to sit down.
There was an enormous stone under a Dawn Redwood tree. Zhan Chen sat down there and closed his eyes to cultivate.
"Husband, be careful. Don't be hasty at all. Regulate your breathing properly and try to sense the heaven and earth with your soul consciousness. It may take time but you need to be patient", Shui Liying reminded before Zhan Chen start cultivating. Deep concern written all over her face as she looked towards Zhan Chen who was sitting on a big stone under a Dawn Redwood tree.
"Don't worry. I will keep your words in mind", Zhan Chen softly spoke. He freed his mind from all the stray thoughts and focused his complete attention on cultivation.
Thr surrounding essence energy started to flow towards him as he operated the Celestial yinyang Sutra. The mysterious Yinyang diagram on his dantian activated as well as it started to send streams of pure energy into his body.
He was not lacking in essence energy as he had absorbed an Extreme yang treasure. What was he lacking at the moment was to establish a connection with the heaven and earth.
The Heavenly tribulation realm was a paradigm shift from the previous cultivation bases. It was not just about progression of power but it required close communion with heaven and it's natural forces. Heaven sent down tribulations to test a cultivator whether he or she was worthy to communicate with it.
To break through to the Heavenly Tribulation Realm, cultivators must first willingly face the tribulations sent by the heavens. These tribulations were both a test and a form of purification.
