Chapter 422 A reminder for the alchemy challenge
"Land and country! Which power will allow another person to grab their land?", Zhan Chen looked towards Ying Chao. He was more interested in this alliance now as it was promising such lavish rewards.
"There are many barren and unexplored lands in the Northern desert continent. There are many areas under sects' administration which is not controlled by the imperial army. There is also the Cloud province which is not controlled by any forces. Anyone can request a suitable piece of land after accumulating enough contribution points", Ying Chao replied.
"How many contribution points for we exactly need to request a piece of land?", Zhan Chen asked with a speck of curiousity in his eyes. Ying Chao felt slight surprised because it was the first time he found Zhan Chen to show so much interest in a reward.
"Zhan Chen, do you want a land of your own?", Ying Chao asked.
"Yes, I have my planning for it. Can you tell me how much contribution points do I need?", Zhan Chen asked.
"It depends upon which land you want. If it is a barren land, no one will care about it. But if you want a land suitable for cultivation, it's requirement will be astronomical", Ying Chao replied.
"You will find out the details once you visit the alliance headquarter. The better your rank, the better your rewards will be. Once you have a upper rank, you can request whatever you desire from the alliance. The alliance will do it's best to fulfill your request as long as your request is not adversely impacting the interest of other forces", Ying Chao explained.
"Okay, I understand. I am ready to lead the sect disciples once again. Inform me when we have to leave for the alliance headquarter", Zhan Chen spoke. He was planning to bid farewell to Ying Chao but he sensed several powerful auras approaching the Oakridge town.

He took a look at other emperors and found all of them injured more or less. The most injured one was Hu Tao and Shui Liying.
"What happened to her?", Zhan Chen frowned. His anger rose slowly the more he looked towards Shui Liying.
"Zhan Chen, it is good to see you safe", Fu Deming spoke. There were small injuries on his body but he didn't seem to care at all.
"Senior, there is an urgent matter, I want to speak with you. Please come to the base. Other emperors also need to be informed. So, I request everyone to come to our base", Ying Chao spoke with a grave expression.
"Senior brother, I am taking my leave. Please inform me after I leave seclusion", Shui Liying spoke. She threw a look at Zhan Chen before flying towards a corner of the Oak ridge town.
"Husband, I will wait for you", she sent a mental communication to Zhan Chen before flying away.
"Zhan Chen, are you coming?", Ying Chao asked. Zhan Chen shook his head. "I want to have a good rest before taking another mission", Zhan Chen spoke. Ying Chao didn't insist and flew away with other emperors.
"Zhan Chen, you are not allowed to walk out from our agreement. I have already gathered the ingredients. We will have our alchemy competetion tomorrow", Zhan Chen received another mental communication when the emperors were flying towards the base. It was Huang Mei who was reminding him about the alchemy contest, he had arranged with her.
"I am looking forward to it", Zhan Chen muttered. A faint desire lit up on his face as he observed the distant figure of Huang Mei. Huang Mei as an emperor would allow him to reach the Heavenly tribulation realm smoothly. He was looking forward for the alchemy contest with her. But he knew what was the priority at this moment. He waited for the emperors to completely disappear before walking towards the direction where Shui Liying had gone.
Shui Liying had choosen an one storied house this time. She came forward to greet Zhan Chen as soon as she sensed his presence. "Husband", she called out sweetly. Her face was pale at this moment due to her injury but a smile appeared on her face as soon she saw Zhan Chen.
Zhan Chen felt slightly pained in his heart after seeing her condition. He hurried forward to hold her and led her towards a room. He used his essence energy and swept away all the dust from a wooden bed. He guided her to sit down and used his essence energy to clean the room where they were staying.
"Let me check your injury", Zhan Chen spoke. He didn't wait for her to reply before sending in his soul consciousness into her body.
Shui Liying was astonished after sensing how mighty the soul consciousness of Zhan Chen was. She stayed startled for a while before calming down. A smile appeared on her face after she find out how formidable her husband was.
"Who has attacked you like this? Beside your physical injuries, there are soul injuries as well", Zhan Chen asked.
"Husband, no need to worry about my injuries. I will be fine after few days rest. As for soul injury, senior brother Deming has given me a peak Sky grade pill. So, I think I will be alright", Shui Liying replied.
"A sky grade pill to heal your soul injuries? Are you kidding? You need at least a heaven grade soul nourishment pill to heal your soul completely", Zhan Chen retorted. He took a look at Shui Liying once again and a murderous aura came out from his body.
"Husband, why are you angry? I promise I be fine after few days of rest", Shui Liying held Zhan Chen's hand with a concerned expression. She didn't want Zhan Chen to do anything stupid in her behalf. So, she want Zhan Chen to calm down.
Zhan Chen tried to reign in his anger after seeing her concerned expression. "Let me check your soul", he spoke after calming down.
Shui Liying didn't hesitate even for a single moment before letting go of her soul defence. Zhan Chen felt a pang in his heart after realising her love and trust towards him. 'I will definitely collect your debt. But there is no hurry. Let me heal you first', he thought to himself.
He tapped upon a pseudo soul he had formed and extracted soul energy from it. Shui Liying was completely startled at this moment after sensing the pure soul energy flowing towards her her soul.
"Concentrate. Try to assimilate the soul energy", Zhan Chen reminded her. Shui Liying didn't let her mind wander and focused to heal her soul.
It took only fifteen minutes for Shui Liying to recover. She noticed the soul energy was still flowing. So, she assimilated the soul energy into her soul. The inflow of soul energy continued untill her soul reached the peak of the sixth stage. "Stabilize your soul properly. We will talk after you come out of seclusion", Zhan Chen spoke.
