"Hui Ling, what is the matter?", Zhan Chen asked after disabling the blue barriers in the main hall. He was cultivating after Liu Nanxi bade him farewell.
"Senior brother, it is very urgent. Something major had happened while you were in seclusion", Hui Ling spoke. There was a disturbed expression on her face as she looked towards Zhan Chen.
"What is it? Did something happen while I am cultivating?", Zhan Chen asked.
"Senior brother, devils from the shadow planets manage to find a gateway to our Earth province. The imperial Xie family notified the sect about their possible arrival", Hui Ling replied.
"Devils!", Zhan Chen raised his eyebrows. He spread his soul consciousness and found Yin Ran missing from the cave complex. He spread his soul consciousness farther and found Hu Daiyu missing as well.
"Where is Yin Ran and Hu Daiyu?", he looked towards Hui Ling.
"Senior brother, peak master of our Martial peak had summoned us after receiving the news. Now, they are assembling all the inner court disciples to fight the devils", Hui Ling spoke.
"Have you got the summoning?", Zhan Chen asked Hui Ling.
"Yes, senior brother. I have received permission from elder Tao of our Martial peak to wait untill your seclusion is over", Hui Ling replied.
"Thank you. You are really thoughtful. Let me give you a reward which will make you less worried", Zhan Chen spoke. He pulled Hui Ling closer and pressed his lips on her lips.
Hui Ling also cooperated and a passionate kiss ensured between the two. Hui Ling tried to get more from Zhan Chen as she was not sure whether the Xuantian sect could withstand the onslaught of the devils or not.
"Hui Ling, you can stay back if you want. I will talk to an elder of yours to allow you to do so", Zhan Chen spoke.
"Senior brother, please don't. All of my sisters are participating. I can not stay back at a time like this, only to regret later", Hui Ling spoke. Zhan Chen could see that she was scared slightly but despite her fear, she was ready to face the devils.
"Okay, you can do as you please. Let us go outside to check the preparation of our sect", Zhan Chen spoke.
"Senior brother, they will leave at the evening. There is still some time left. Can I have some of your time while everyone is away?", Hui Ling spoke. Tender love and desire could be seen in her eyes as she looked towards Zhan Chen.
'Stupid!', Zhan Chen shook his head with a smile after seeing through all of her thoughts. It was easy to read her mind with the use of Heart seeking technique.
Hui Ling was reluctant to part with him after their brief union. She was not sure whether she could come back alive or not. That's why she was begging for some alone time to have an union with him. She wanted it to be a memorable union before she would leave for fighting the devils.
"Hui Ling, I am promising you some alone time together. But before that, let me check on the sword peak. We need to know when exactly they are leaving for the Yellow stone city", Zhan Chen spoke.
"Senior brother, thank you. I only want a little time of yours before I leave for the Yellow stone city", Hui Ling spoke. Zhan Chen nodded his head and pulled her closer for another kiss. Hui Ling cooperated completely and share her saliva with Zhan Chen without any hesitation.
"Wait for me. I will be back after visiting the sword peak", Zhan Chen spoke. Hui Ling nodded her head obediently and sat down for cultivation.
The inner court disciples of the Xuantian sect had gathered in their respective peaks. There were some imposing looking elders standing with them who would lead the inner court disciples to do the battle.
Zhan Chen felt impressed after seeing the gathering in the sword peak. Every cultivator were disciplined as they gathered around their respective elders who would lead them.
There was a tense atmosphere but many sword cultivators were exuding confidence. They were determined to use the upcoming battle with the devils to sharpen their sword skills.
"Zhan Chen!", an elder recognised Zhan Chen after he went near the crowd. His voice alerted the disciples around him who turned to look towards Zhan Chen.
"Greetings elder", he bowed his head slightly and greeted the stern looking elder. His arrival alerted other elders as they turned to look towards them.
"Who is this brat? Why can't I see through his cultivation?", an elder muttered with surprise.
"Elder Lai, he is Zhan Chen. He is the winner of this year's grand sect competetion and a core disciple of our sect", another elder replied.
"Zhan Chen, why are you here?", the stern looking elder asked. A powerful soul consciousness descended towards everyone after stern looking elder asked his question.
Everyone raised their head and saw an imposing looking middle aged man descending towards them. All the inner court disciples immediately knelt after seeing the middle aged man in silver robe.
"Greetings peak master", the inner court disciples shouted together. Their eyes were full of respect and veneration as they looked towards the middle aged man.
Zhan Chen greeted the middle-aged man along with other elder. He didn't need to use his brain to guess the identity of the middle aged man.
The name of the middle aged man was Yang Yukong. He was the infamous peak master of the sword peak. He was renowned in the entire Central land for his genius sword skills. There was a rumour that even the emperors of the Heavenly sword sect was less capable than Yang Yukong.
Yang Yukong took a look at all the elders and disciples before focusing his eyes on Zhan Chen. A smile appeared on his face when his eyes met with Zhan Chen's.
"Little friend, I think you are already aware about my presence. I have a feeling that you can detect my soul consciousness whenever I send it towards your cultivation mountain", Yang Yukong spoke.
"Senior, you jest. How can I have such capability with the cultivation gap we have?", Zhan Chen spoke. Yang Yukong merely smiled but didn't comment anything after hearing Zhan Chen's response.
He shifted the topic and asked Zhan Chen about the reason for his arrival.
"Senior, I have come here to check on the battle preparation. I want to be the part of the first group who will go to the Yellow stone city", Zhan Chen replied.
