321 Chapter 320: Streets of blood

Rumble!

The world trembled violently as the fog washed over the entire city of Naz minimizing the vision of those within the city. In the dark night and under the influence of the fog normal humans had zero chance of seeing in such conditions but thanks to the glowing golden dragon scales on their bodies they were like a bright light shining down madly.

As long as they stayed in their teams of hundred, they were bright enough to illuminate the entire street.

“It’s about to begin,” The gravity spirit said with a deep frown and Damon casually nodded at this.

His eyes scanned ahead and he couldn’t see the mighty snake or Klien anymore. Their disappearance left him worried and Damon shut his eyes briefly as he fell into thought.

Huff!

Damon exhaled deeply and slowly opened his eyes. His eyes revealed a hint of fear in them but it was covered by immense confidence.

“Join the battle. Aid these soldiers in any way possible. Keep them safe... Keep them praying... We cannot afford to lose Naz” Damon said with a deep frown leaving the gravity spirit stunned.

Leaving Damon up here alone, especially now he lacked the strength to use his powers would make him a target for the enemy waiting for an opportunity to strike at their general.

.....

“There are opportunities in chaos. While they aim for me, you will aid our soldiers and have them decimate the enemy forces. Remember our target here are their soldiers. As long as we can wipe them out, they will not be able to take Naz anymore” Damon said with a deep frown and his hands hidden within his sleeves.

Looking at Damon’s back the gravity spirit didn’t know what to say. The more he stood and fought by the side of this person he was slowly being pushed out of the role of leadership and that of servitude.

It wasn’t because Damon was scheming against him but because he was the one who always stepped up when it matters. He could only deliver a final bow and wish the lad good fortune in his heart before vanishing into the darkness, leaving Damon alone.

Flap!

Damon sighed as he closed his body eyes while he waited patiently.

Kill!

Get them!

Let’s go!

Soon cries of furious soldiers boomed across the city and sounds of weapons clashing could be heard.

Whoosh!

A stench of blood washed through the city as the killings started and Damon revealed a stern look as he looked toward the brightly lit full move above the heavens.

“Since you already came here, you might as well do what you came for,” Damon said in a tone void of any form of emotion.

As if in response to his words, three figures emerged from the darkness surrounding Damon but not daring to come close.

Klien the blood mage.

Lucy the basilisk.

Michael leader of the true blood.

“Stand down and surrender now. What we do is for your sake” Klein said with a deep frown and Damon let out a cruel smile on his face.

“My sake? The moment I am pushed away from the Frontline I lose to that man. I can never lose to that man” Damon said coldly.

“This is not the time to be stubborn Damon! The Grim is not something to toy with. You can still reach your goal by hiding. Since the Grim is coming, all you have to do is hide and wait....”

“Damon Ross hides from no one!” Damon interrupted Lucy mid-way as his eyes blazed with disdain.

“Damon...” Micheal wanted to speak but he was also cut off by Damon.

“Enough talk. We are at war. Come at me with the intent to take my life because I won’t be pulling my punches either” Damon said in an aloof and arrogant tone as a fierce wind blew causing their hair to flutter.

All four combatants could sense the stench of death. They were sure someone would die in the battle about to take place now no one could tell who would be the unlucky one.

Buzzz!

Micheal was the first to make a move as his body raced forward with blood surging around his fist.

Haaaaaaaa!

His fists flew forward creating a majestic blood cyclone, spinning rapidly into existence.

Rumble!

Rumble!

Damon’s eyes squinted as he jumped out of the way in a bid to dodge the attack only to realize Klien and Lucy had moved.

Thud!

Xiu!

The moment his feet hit the ground two figures were already right in front of him, attacking madly with their weapons!

Boom!

A fierce explosion rocked the building top, drawing the attention of many fighting below.

“I AM NOT SOMEONE YOU CAN WIN AGAINST!” Damon’s furious bellow shook the sky as three figures were thrown out of the cloud of dust.

They were sent flying off the rooftop and a lone figure emerged from the dust with blood-red eyes.

Damon’s robes were riddled with holes and different types of damage yet there was not a scratch on his black and golden dragon scales.

“The black dragon will consume the entire world” Damon declared coldly as his shadow expanded and from it a black and golden dual short sword emerged, flying into Damon’s hands.

With the physique of a dragon, he was already ahead of most people in terms of strength, including gods. He refused to believe he would be killed instantly by those who were once his subordinates but now working for the invader, Alex Briggs.

“After I kill you three I will kill that man,” Damon said in a tone void of all forms of emotions

Bang!

Contrary to everyone’s belief, Damon did not chase after the trio. His body shot like a missile, heading in the direction of the war front!

What!

Klien, Lucy, and Michael paled. Just like Damon said, in war the soldiers were just as important as any other official. As long as he can cut down their numbers drastically, Klien will be forced to retreat.
