With his energy stat settled on a perfect 30 points, 1 being the reserves of an average adult, Nik could be considered a beast of sorts in this regard. Every increment in the stat isn't additional or holistic. Instead, it's specialized and more layered. So, having 30 times the reserves of an average male was more than just a number. It also revealed the pace of recovery of said energy up to a certain extent.
Thus, if possible, Nik loved to train as long as his body could hold out for.
"Shove it," Mai didn't pay Nik another moment of her attention as she looked across the sea with a ponderous expression. She almost looked worried and finally sensing something strange, Nik dried himself off and wore a tunic to approach Mai.
"What's going on?"
Not replying directly, Mai chose to question him instead, "When Yue talked about those two fishes being spirits... and that bending isn't just limited to elements...
Do you think there are any limits?"
Recalling Koh, Nik shook his head, "In my limited knowledge, everything is relative in the Spirit World so anything could be a possibility."
"I meant in the real world," Mai furrowed her brows.
Nik finally glanced at her and felt something was odd.
"Seriously, what's going on?"
It wasn't like Mai was acting strange but her line of questioning and sudden interest in such matters when she wasn't even that interested after seeing Yue and her recently gained specialties gave Nik an ominous sensation.
"I think..." Mai turned to look at Nik, unaware of the projection of a beautiful, wriggling flower that appeared behind her and attracted Nik's attention, "There is something strange going on."
She wasn't the kind to hide her problems, if there were any. Especially physical ones. These problems, after all, may impede her ability to move during a battle. Seeing Nik attracted to something behind her, Mai looked over her shoulder but failed to see anything. Yet, she heard Nik's heavy breathing.
Looking at him quickly, Mai found Nik clenching the metal railings as veins began to spread through his arms.
With almost a hungry look befitting a beast, Nik growled, "Mai... your scent... is infected. Move back a little from me..."
His lips trembled as his stare turned invasive, which finally made her body react in an amorous manner but her thoughts came to her rushing back as he whispered, "Please... it's a spirit, probably... just..."
Surprising not only Nik but also herself, Mai found her body moving with a will of its own as she felt she smelled something... desperate. It was coming from Nik. It wasn't exactly despair that she 'sniffed' but more like an intense suppression of an even more intense urge. If the thick bulge under his confine was any indication of what Nik was going through then Mai's almost parted dry lips as she closed in on the distance between hers and Nik's lips made it pretty clear what she wanted. Turning silent and leaning against the railings, Mai shook her head, "I'm not unwell... exactly..."
"Then what?" Nik inquired with a frown.
Even after his encounter with Tui and La, Nik had a generally bad outlook on the spirits. Pakku claimed them to be whimsical and mischievous but their 'mischief' could be fatal to humans.
His question was met with a silence until Mai scowled and scoffed, "Didn't you just experience it?"
"Ah..." Nik blinked in surprise and nodded before leaning against the railing.
"So... word of advice, Yue has some medications. Herbal pastes, to be exact, that you can ingest after a session so you don't end up with a huge belly nine months later."
Not in the mood for humor during her silent contemplation, Mai snorted but didn't find his words worthy of a reply.
"Well, you look calm enough now. See you around," Finding nothing else to do, Nik shrugged and proceeded to move when Mai looked at her and questioned, "You have experience dealing with spirits, right? What do you—" before she could complete, Mai felt her body stiffen with another wave of urges hitting her hard. However, Nik was quicker. At the first wave of the 'scent' that made him almost lose his cool, Nik threw Mai into the sea to cool her head off.
After all, it worked previously, so it should work now.
The next moment, Nik pulled Mai through waterbending as her expression morphed into righteous frustration not only because of Nik's sudden 'attack' but also the unexpected wave of lust she had to experience.
Nodding thoughtfully, Nik smiled, "My advice is to sleep on the deck with a bucket of water. Whenever the feeling hits you, drench yourself. Or you know? Give into it. Maybe that can also be a solution."

While Mai was expecting Nik to sleep peacefully while leaving her to her own devices, she couldn't be more wrong!
The moment Nik entered his chambers, with only Suki sleeping on his bed and the remaining two girls probably back in their quarters, he calmly sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes.
Trying his best to enter a more spiritual mindset, Nik couldn't help but call out to the actual spirit within him.
There have been many instances where he failed to contact Mokshi but the spirit would contact him almost every time another spirit was involved.

While there was no immediate reply, Nik could feel something deep within him churning. After a few short seconds of silence, Nik finally heard a familiar quiet voice.

Knowing better, Nik knew he won't gain any more results by trying to converse with Mokshi. Even if it's as Mokshi remarks then this Flower of Fertility may be entirely harmless and if it was truly that dangerous, Mai would have had drastic reactions.
But then again, Mai has kept to herself and is used to remaining stoic so she might just be underplaying her reactions.
Not knowing what to do aside from sleeping on it, Nik lay back down turned into a larger spoon for Suki as she mewled unconsciously and enjoyed the embrace in her sleep.

Loud, frantic knocks against the metal door of their chamber woke Suki up and as she moved, Nik roused with a frustrating groan of his own.
"Wait... I can smell it through the door so don't open it right away..." A yawn made through and seeing him, even Suki yawned involuntarily, rubbing her eyes in response, "Smell what?" Her tone was quite rightly dull and languid as she just slumped back on the bed now that Nik asked her to wait.
Keeping it concise, Nik remarked, "Oh, that's just Mai in heat..."
Taking a moment to process his words, Suki scoffed, "That isn't even funny as a joke..."
"Open up! Quickly!" Mai's muffled gasp rang through the door as Suki snapped up with an incredulous expression. Meanwhile, Nik opened the circular window and let the fresh air in before waterbending a considerable puddle of water in front of him.
With his other hand, Nik opened the door and the sweet scent lingering around Mai overflooded the room, making not only Nik scowl and tremble but even Mai feel stunned as she stood rooted on the bed.
Mai herself paid no heed to the water, pouncing on Nik with the remnant of her willpower fading as she cried in pleasure, "Wa-water isn't doing anything! Sent into his personal space.
"Huff... I'm too tired. Come on, let's go back to sleeping," Nik shrugged and closed the door while drying off the bawdy pool of squirt and the thin trail of it near the entrance.
"You... you're just going to sleep?" Suki questioned.
"What else?" Nik questioned.
"What else?" She repeated and then it truly hit her. Exactly, what else? Was Nik supposed to take Mai just because of some external factors?
"And she isn't in her right mind," Nik added, "You know how Mai is. When she's all fine, she would just rush after me with a knife if I did do something to her in this state. It will be too troublesome. Heck, she's been a pain in the ass because of Michi... I'm just not ready for more drama..."
With that, Nik pulled Suki into a loving hug as they went back to sleep while Mai, with no one else within his personal space except for a Fire Nation Battleship filled with various items and even stationary, a particularly shaped and sized one she came to encounter soon enough in her lustful heat.
