Meanwhile, Dongfang Yelai and Bai Shuang watched the situation from two separate vantage points.

“True God Realm cultivation?” Dongfang Yelai sneered. “Is my disciple really so foolish as to believe Ye Yu when he says he’s only at True God Realm? From what I deduced of his origin, he must be at least a Divine Lord. I was nearly wounded when I probed him—ordinary gods couldn’t do that. Yet where did that old viper find such a powerhouse?”

On the other side, Bai Shuang’s eyes gleamed with interest. True God Realm? That didn’t seem right. Intelligence had reported that newcomer Ye Yu’s power was terrifying—just the phenomena he unleashed had cowed the Graveyard Divine Pact. He must be here for that artifact, else his master wouldn’t have sent him.

In the center of the Hall of Boundlessness, Ye Yu repressed his fury and maintained a composed expression—though inside, his murderous intent toward Hong Zhencheng roared like an unending river. That ingrate! he thought. I come to save you, yet you try to sabotage me? You enjoy this, don’t you? You wouldn’t be happy unless you nearly killed me yourself!

Opposite him, Dong Zhi Zai could not suppress a smile. Ye Yu’s sudden descent had almost shaken his confidence. After all, no one would rashly throw themselves into death unless they were truly strong. Yet True God Realm? The thought made him laugh outright. You dare to play peacemaker at such a realm? You must be brave—or foolish! 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Dong Zhi Zai strode forward and taunted, “Kid, a True God daring to step up will die for it!”

“Go ahead—Great Ascendant, you lead, I’ll cover you!” Hong Zhencheng declared, stepping before Ye Yu. Blood streamed from his shoulder, yet he showed not a flicker of pain.

Escape? Ye Yu thought. Where would I go? If I tried to flee now, that would only confirm I’m truly a True God. He pressed a hand to Hong Zhencheng’s wound and whispered, “You fool—did you really believe I’m only True God Realm? Stay behind and watch.”

Tears streamed down Hong Zhencheng’s face—painful tears from the touch on his wound. Unbeknownst to him, Ye Yu had intended it that way: Feel the pain, so you’ll learn not to blurt out words that can kill!

Ye Yu then stepped forward and activated his special aura. In an instant, a terrifying pressure swept across the hall. His crimson demonic eyes appeared behind him, and the surrounding space warped. Five colossal phantom forms of demon gods materialized, each radiating an aura of cataclysmic destruction.

Dong Zhi Zai and the others trembled. But it did not end there. As draconic roars echoed, streams of fate-dragons converged from all directions, spiraling above Ye Yu’s head in regal formation.

Dong Zhi Zai’s eyes widened in ❀ Nоvеlігht ❀ (Don’t copy, read here) disbelief. This a True God Realm aura? he cursed under his breath. I’ve been played for a fool!

Almost everyone present shared his thought—except the dozen disciples Ye Yu had saved from the Graveyard Divine Pact. They had seen this spectacle before and unwaveringly believed Ye Yu to be the realm’s supreme power.

Hong Zhencheng stared at Ye Yu in awe. Though this was the third time he’d witnessed Ye Yu’s aura, each time left him more stunned. Can a True God really wield such might? he wondered. Which words were true, which false?

In the side chamber, Dongfang Yelai watched silently, relieved he had not engaged Ye Yu earlier. Had I attacked him today, my decades of patience would have been for nothing. But how powerful is he, really?

Bai Shuang also remained perplexed. Even now, he could not see through Ye Yu’s cultivation. He should have been able to discern it once the aura was unleashed—was it all a façade?

Thinking quickly, Bai Shuang cast a Charm Spell on a female god in early Gold Deity Realm nearby. She staggered, her eyes clouding with enchantment. Thrusting aside the terrified Dong Zhi Zai, she sneered, “Mere illusion—look at you cowering! What great deeds can you accomplish if you tremble at every shadow?”

No sooner had she spoken than she transformed into a blade of light and swept toward Ye Yu. Its momentum shattered the air.

Ye Yu, who had been busy absorbing Submission Points from the crowd, was taken aback. He instantly converted all his gathered points into cultivation, surging to Late True God Realm! Still insufficient for a comfortable match, but far stronger than before.

As the blade neared, Ye Yu invoked Equality of All Beings. The lethal sword-light dissolved in an instant—before the goddess could register what happened, Ye Yu’s fist struck her chest.

Bang! A muffled crack echoed as the goddess fell lifeless. The entire feat took but a moment—so swift no one could foresee it.

Dong Zhi Zai gazed at the body with cold dread. The fallen goddess was Kong Liying, his dao-partner, equal in strength to himself. Now, in the blink of an eye, they stood separated by life and death.

My wife... he thought, how many times did I warn you against recklessness? Yet you never listened—and now...

He would seek vengeance someday, but he knew his own limits. He would endure this wound in silence.
