Hanyue Xi rubbed her eyes in disbelief.

The person who had just passed by—was that Ye Yu?

What on earth was going on lately? Why did she keep running into him so often? And each time she saw him, his true form seemed completely different from before. What was happening?

Moreover, the City of Equilibrium had already been destroyed—how could Ye Yu now be together with the Balance Deity Yu Buxia?

All these questions swirled in Hanyue Xi’s mind, and she instinctively wanted to fly over for a closer look. But not a hundred meters had passed before a terrifying pressure slammed into her!

Was this a warning from the Balance Deity?

Hanyue Xi halted in midair and bowed slightly, signaling she meant no harm and did not intend to proceed. Instantly, the oppressive force vanished.

She narrowed her eyes. She had long suspected Ye Yu was no ordinary being. Whenever she saw him, time inexplicably rewound. And she would awaken from slumber in the near future, returning to the previous moment. Thus Hanyue Xi had guessed Ye Yu might be the God of Time, able to control and even reverse time—and change his very form! Only that could explain the miraculous events of recent days.

But for now, she had no proof. And since the Balance Deity had already issued a warning, pressing forward would be very dangerous. Nevertheless, Hanyue Xi would not give up. Once she saw Ye Yu alone again, she would find a way to confirm her theory. If he truly was the God of Time, perhaps the tragedy she’d suffered could yet be averted.

A resolute light flashed in her eyes as her figure vanished.

Meanwhile, Yu Buxia withdrew her attention from Hanyue Xi and spoke with a wry tone, “Kid, you’ve got a lot of enemies watching you. Just now someone tried to tail you—but I sent them packing!”

Ye Yu assumed it was one of the Wuzhong Mountain divines, so he offered only a bright smile without comment.

“Sigh,” he thought, “From now on, even if I’m not an Evil God, they’ll treat me like one. Maybe I’ll end up with a spot on the Evil List, too. Not powerful, but at least notorious!”

He sighed softly, then asked, “Are we there yet? If not, we could just fuse right here and save ourselves the trouble.”

“No, no—almost there. Fusion of a true artifact is a solemn matter; there must be no mistakes. Remember, this is my life-bound artifact, so be careful,” Yu Buxia said gravely.

To her, protecting the artifact’s integrity was paramount—any disturbance might ruin the fusion, and a ruined true artifact was unthinkable. That was why she insisted on bringing Ye Yu back to her Daoist hall.

Half an hour later, the two arrived at a mountain range that seemed utterly ordinary. With a flourish of her sleeve, Yu Buxia activated a formation array, and a Daoist hall materialized before them.

Yu Buxia’s taste was impeccable: although the hall wasn’t huge, every vista was picture-perfect—and perfectly symmetrical, as if crafted for someone with obsessive-compulsive precision.

She guided Ye Yu to a secluded chamber and set up multiple formation barriers to guarantee absolute peace for the fusion. Only then did she exhale in relief, anticipation alight in her eyes—eager to see how far the true # Nоvеlight # artifact might grow.

“Oh—there’s one crucial thing I forgot to tell you,” she said, eyes widening. “The fused artifact must remain symmetrical, or I simply can’t accept it!”

Just as she turned to explain, a familiar aura washed over her—it was Yinghuo!

Yu Buxia’s eyes flew open. She lunged to close the barriers, but was too late. She saw Yinghuo descend, cradling fresh flowers, a gentle smile on her lips.

“Looks like I wasn’t mistaken—you really are here!” Yinghuo said brightly.

Yu Buxia forced a nervous smile, clasping her hands. “Yinghuo, that earlier misunderstanding—I truly had no improper thoughts about Ye Yu, I swear!”

Yinghuo shook her head. “Don’t worry. My husband has already explained everything, and I hold no grudge. In fact, I must thank you for the gift of the City of Equilibrium—it was my blessed land! Not only did I marry my husband there, I also shattered my cultivation bottleneck and advanced further.”

Yu Buxia’s face twisted with surprise as she noticed Yinghuo’s divine power aura was far stronger than before. Yinghuo continued:

“After Ye Yu left Equilibrium City to roam, I entered seclusion—planning to be trapped at least a hundred years. But in just a few days, I broke through my long-stalled bottleneck and slipped into the peak Ancient God Realm. Best of all, the path ahead became clear, as if guided. I firmly believe I will reach Divine Lord within ten thousand years, becoming the youngest Divine Lord in the realm. And it all happened inside Equilibrium City. I owe you my thanks, Buxia!”

But her friend was far too timid. After leaving seclusion, she messaged Yu Buxia repeatedly to meet—and got no reply. So their reconciliation remained on hold. A single person in Equilibrium City was dreadfully dull, so Yinghuo went out to gather divine blossoms from the Heavens to craft a robe for Ye Yu—“a token of everlasting love,” she said, blushing at her own sentimentality.

By chance she passed this mountain and sensed Yu Buxia’s aura—and here they were, reunited by fate at last.
