The moment Ye Yu’s image appeared within the flesh phantom, his face went pale. His divine power was nearly exhausted, and only once he truly seized control of Shen Kangren did he realize how monumental the task was. Yet after a single breath’s time, he could hold on no longer. He meant to warn Ying Huo and Yu Buxia again, but he simply had no strength left.

In an instant, the flesh phantom shattered completely, and Ye Yu’s body fell to the ground. At that moment his divine reservoir was empty—no power remained. Attempting to bind an Ancient God–Realm powerhouse with only Great God–Realm cultivation had been far too ambitious. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Freed from restraint, Shen Kangren roared and lunged toward the phantom scale’s projection. But Yu Buxia was prepared. She leapt to the very center of the balance scale, lifted a hand, and pointed at the right pan. She breathed two words: “Balance.” Instantly a white radiance poured from Shen Kangren’s phantom, flowing entirely into Ying Huo’s body. The scale’s tilt eased, slowly leveling out.

Simultaneously, the giant flesh body let out an unwilling howl as it began to shrink rapidly. Ying Huo’s divine power surged in response. Though Ye Yu lay weakened, he watched every motion clearly—such a miraculous divine art! It siphoned Shen Kangren’s strength to empower Ying Huo, evening their might. Even a momentary effect like this was tyrannical.

With a portion of Shen Kangren’s power, Ying Huo’s starred light shimmered more brilliantly. She spread her hands and shouted at the now-shrunken flesh giant: “Starfall Shatter!” At once every star in the sky plunged down, enveloping Shen Kangren in a glowing cascade that shattered him utterly.

In that instant the world fell silent. When the dust cleared, Balance City lay in ruin—reduced to powder. Even the auspicious clouds that had drifted overhead had vanished. For a million li around, the land was an empty void.

Ying Huo collapsed to the ground and looked back reflexively. Ye Yu’s figure stood unscathed not far away. Under such a high–level divine art, a Great God–Realm cultivator should have perished. His survival proved someone had borne the brunt of the attack—and that person was Yu Buxia.

Compared with Ye Yu’s intact state, Yu Buxia looked battered. Her divine robes were shredded, and even her perfect face wore several wounds. Though she was slowly healing, her beauty remained marred. She had shielded Ye Yu from all harm—not out of love, but because she still needed him alive to assist with their fusion. Before that happened, he simply could not die.

All three had unleashed their strongest divine arts and were now utterly spent. Sharing a weary smile, they prepared to rest before departing.

But soon Ying Huo sensed something amiss. In the air, matter was rapidly reassembling. Before long, over a thousand small fragments of flesh coalesced at high speed. A sense of helplessness gripped Ying Huo—had Shen Kangren reached the point of utter immortality?

Ye Yu and Yu Buxia noticed too: the flesh had formed a man–sized silhouette that could not be ignored. Yu Buxia’s first instinct was to lift Ye Yu and Ying Huo and flee—but she could barely stand, and so could her companions. Undoubtedly, Shen Kangren would soon revive; the three of them faced only one outcome: death.

Ying Huo turned to Ye Yu and Yu Buxia, apology in her eyes. “I’m sorry—I’ve dragged you into this.” But such words were futile now. She had never imagined Shen Kangren’s flesh Dao would reach such invincibility. Once dismissed as the weakest path, it had evolved into a miracle.

Yu Buxia shook her head with a rueful smile. She did not mean to belittle the flesh Dao; in the myriad flourishing paths of the Divine Realm, flesh cultivation seemed ordinary. Even Ying Huo’s star Dao or Yu Buxia’s balance Dao held better theoretical promise—yet neither compared to Shen Kangren’s simplicity made perfect. This was perhaps the legendary Dao of Ultimate Simplicity.

Beside them, Ye Yu remained nonchalant. “Just dying again,” he thought. “I’ve been through dozens; I’ve grown used to it.” To him it was merely an act of irresistible force. Next time he entered the Divine Realm, he’d avoid Shen Kangren at all costs—below the Ancient God realm, he’d never have a chance.

As Ye Yu prepared for death, a furry shape slipped from his arms. “Big Brother, I have a plan that might save us!” Startled, he looked at Little White.

“You’ve got a plan?” he asked incredulously.

Little White spoke earnestly: “If it works, please don’t forget me afterward!” Before Ye Yu could understand, it transformed into a streak of light and shot upward, revealing its true, terrifying form.

Under every astonished gaze, Little White began to feast—devouring all of Shen Kangren’s fragments before they could reconstitute. In moments, its three-zhang height swelled to over a thousand zhang as it consumed flesh. Its white fur turned scarlet, ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) its entire form exuding brutal might.

Now there was good news and bad news. The good: no more flesh coalesced, and Shen Kangren’s aura had vanished from heaven and earth. The bad: Little White seemed at its limit, on the verge of collapse—any moment it might burst and die!

Ye Yu stood dumbfounded—he had never expected Little White to solve their plight this way. Yu Buxia was the first to react. She drew numerous divine pills from her storage ring and tossed them into Little White’s maw.
