Chapter 164: Chapter 161: Verifying the Speculation

This doubt, however, lasted only a second before being replaced by determination.

This was his master’s order, for one. But beyond that, he had already offended Mo Qi. The only option was to eliminate him before he could grow powerful.

Otherwise, once a Dark Horse Level genius fully matured, they would become terrifyingly powerful—far beyond what a Golden Level cultivator like him could ever hope to match.

Besides, he couldn’t just let the slap to his face go.

"Heh, so what if you’re Dark Horse Level? You’re only at the Qi Refining Realm right now. You’re too weak. You think he can protect you?" Su Yu said contemptuously, pointing at the External Incarnation.

"Peak of Purity Realm? I can pinch him to death with a single finger!"

Su Yu’s personality had always been aloof, and he wasn’t one for much talk.

But today, perhaps because Mo Qi had provoked him, he felt an unbearable urge to say something, as if holding it in was torture.

"Keep bluffing!" Mo Qi laughed. Setting aside whether Su Yu could actually kill his External Incarnation, with a single finger? Pinching?

In any case, he couldn’t imagine what that action would even look like.

"Come, come, I’m dying to know how one performs a ’pinching’ motion with a single finger. Su the Great Genius, why don’t you teach me?" Mo Qi said seriously, feigning the look of an eager student.

PFFT!

Su Yu almost spat out a mouthful of blood. He was absolutely livid!

’Was the point of what I said the literal action of ’pinching’?!’

’I was just describing how easy it is to kill you, and you’re playing word games with me?’

"Sigh. Ignorant people really should read more. Look at you, you don’t even know how many fingers it takes to ’pinch.’ Did you get your Gold-level Token through some back-door connection?" Mo Qi asked with a straight face.

Back-door connection? Pulling strings?

What an utter humiliation!

Su Yu was practically bursting with rage. He couldn’t stand Mo Qi anymore.

"Ignorant brat, today I’ll show you the gap between us! First, I’ll kill this crutch of yours, and then we’ll see what you do!"

Su Yu swung his arm, extending a single finger and jabbing it toward the External Incarnation.

Mo Qi shrugged. "Be my guest."

The External Incarnation just stood there, motionless, allowing Su Yu’s attack to land.

The finger moved like a gale, its momentum like a bolt of lightning!

Though Su Yu’s move seemed casual, he had actually infused this finger strike with his comprehension of Sword Intent.

One finger to shatter a myriad of techniques, one finger to pierce through heaven, earth, and the mountains and rivers.

This was his signature Martial Technique—the Golden Piercing Finger!

Seeing the External Incarnation act so arrogantly, Su Yu let out a cold sneer.

’Die!’

CLANG!

The fingertip landed on the center of the External Incarnation’s brow. Sword Intent surged, creating a sound of metal on metal, like a spear crashing against a shield.

The External Incarnation was sent flying backward, breaking countless rocks and trees before coming to a stop.

The smile on Su Yu’s face froze. He had expected the finger strike to easily annihilate his opponent, but he never imagined that he himself would be thrown back by the rebound force, stumbling backward several steps.

His attacking finger was so sore and numb that it had lost all feeling.

"How is this possible!"

That strike hadn’t felt like hitting a person at all. It was more like striking a piece of Celestial-level Defense Armor—so hard it made him despair.

Amidst the pile of rubble, the External Incarnation stood up completely unharmed. It dusted itself off, looked at Su Yu, and laughed. "Your attack doesn’t seem as impressive as your talk. It didn’t even itch. Were you trying to give me a massage?"

The External Incarnation had been forged from Obsidian. It was incredibly hard, dense, and indestructible.

Although its combat power couldn’t match Su Yu’s, in terms of defense, even ten thousand Su Yus combined couldn’t hope to harm it in the slightest.

Su Yu fell silent. ’Why is my luck so terrible today?’

’Otherwise, why do I keep getting proven wrong?’

’I said Mo Qi didn’t know what a genius was, and it turns out he’s a Dark Horse.’

’I said I could kill his External Incarnation with a single finger, but it ended up completely unharmed, not even winded.’

Everything was just too strange.

But the stranger things got, the more it proved that there was more to Mo Qi than met the eye. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

This only strengthened Su Yu’s resolve: Mo Qi had to die!

His gaze shifted to focus on Mo Qi.

’Your helper is strong indeed, but what about you?’

Su Yu no longer had the inclination to deal with the External Incarnation, nor did he want to drag things out any longer. He wanted a quick and decisive battle.

Feeling Su Yu’s murderous gaze, Mo Qi tightened his grip on the Token and smiled. "I’ll stand right here and won’t move. If you can make me take a single step back, I’ll count it as my loss."

Mo Qi wanted to verify his theory.

"You’re pushing it too far!" Su Yu gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with fury.

To be looked down upon by a mere Qi Refining Cultivator!

"Die!"

Su Yu held back no longer. He formed a seal with his hands for his Sword Formulas, muttering an incantation under his breath.

The Flying Sword suddenly blazed with brilliant light, splitting from one into two, then into three, and then into thousands upon thousands.

Countless swords blotted out the sky and sun, like the waters of a great river pouring down from the heavens, rushing toward Mo Qi.

Mo Qi held the Token in one hand and an Array Flag in the other, infusing them with True Essence, ready to activate them at any moment.

It was a backup plan he had prepared: a short-distance Teleportation Array.

If his theory was wrong and the Token was ineffective, he would activate the Array and teleport away to escape Su Yu’s attack.

SHIIING!

The tide of sword light was about to submerge Mo Qi when, just as he expected, the Dark Horse-level Token grew scorching hot.

An invisible wave once again enveloped him, deflecting all the sword light. None could get within ten feet of him.

It was as if an unseen hand was blocking all the attacks for Mo Qi.

Just then, the Pig Emperor was delighted to find that it could sense the Dragon Vein again.

"Mo the kid, I’ve got a lock on it! Whatever you’re doing now, keep it up! Give this emperor a quarter of an hour, and I’ll be able to pinpoint the Dragon Vein’s location!" The Pig Emperor’s urgent voice came from within his robes.

In the sky, however, the countless Flying Swords lunging toward Mo Qi collided with the ones being deflected.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Su Yu’s expression changed drastically. This tide of swords was his strongest ultimate move.

He didn’t know why the swords near Mo Qi had gone out of control. By the time he realized what was happening, it was too late to pull them back.

The sword light exploded. For Su Yu, it was like his left hand slapping his right cheek and his right hand slapping his left—he was only hurting himself.

In an instant, his Sword Intent collapsed. Su Yu felt as if he’d been dealt a heavy blow, and he coughed up a large mouthful of blood, his expression turning listless.

Without bothering to retrieve his Flying Sword, he turned and transformed into a streak of light, fleeing the scene.

He was already severely injured. If he didn’t escape now, he might very well die at the hands of the External Incarnation.

The tide of swords, no longer under Su Yu’s control, shattered into motes of fluorescent light.

Finally, a single longsword fell from mid-air and stabbed into the ground in front of Mo Qi.

"Run!"

Seeing this, how could the other prisoners dare to stay? They all turned and fled.

Even the master who was invincible in their eyes had been defeated. Staying would be a death sentence, wouldn’t it?

Mo Qi was busy studying the Token, so he didn’t stop them.

The crisis was averted. The Token also quieted down, its heat fading as it returned to normal.

"What happened? Why did I lose the connection again?"

The Pig Emperor crawled out from Mo Qi’s robes, looking very displeased.

"Pig Emperor, I think I understand what’s going on now," Mo Qi said with a smile.
