Chapter 158: Chapter 155: Robbing Qian Duoduo a Second Time
Qian Duoduo never expected that he would run into Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui twice, and both times they would be in the middle of a robbery.
And their technique was exactly the same—so familiar.
The only difference was that the first time, he had been the one getting robbed.
This time, however, he wasn’t afraid, because he had brought backup.
His only regret was that Mo Qi wasn’t here.
But that was fine. He could start getting his revenge with Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui. Mo Qi wouldn’t be able to escape anyway.
Suddenly, an arm was thrown around each of their necks. Both Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui jumped in surprise, instinctively throwing a backward kick.
Qian Duoduo was ready for it and dodged with a flicker of movement.
"Still so aggressive," Qian Duoduo chuckled.
The pair turned and recognized Qian Duoduo.
"Oh! So it’s you, the Wealth-Bringing Boy!" Jin Sanpang’s face lit up, his eyes fixed on Qian Duoduo’s hands as if searching for something.
Liu Hui’s eyes lit up as well, and he discreetly moved to block Qian Duoduo’s retreat.
Qian Duoduo’s smile froze on his face. He quickly hid his ring-covered hands behind his back.
’Wealth-Bringing Boy?’
’Judging by the looks on your faces, don’t tell me you want to rob me again?’
’Fuck this, I’ve had enough!’
’I’m not the same man I was back then!’
Just then, Zhao Zijun pointed at the naked crowd on the ground and asked with a laugh, "Eldest Young Master Qian, don’t tell me you ended up stripped bare just like them?"
Qian Duoduo recalled being left in nothing but his underpants and socks, and his face instantly darkened.
Zhu Fan, standing to the side, nodded with a serious expression. "According to our intel, yes."
At that, Nangong Yan and Zhao Zijun could no longer hold it in. They both clutched their stomachs, roaring with laughter.
"Hey, hey! That’s enough out of you! I didn’t bring you here to dredge up the past!" Qian Duoduo said, annoyed.
"Which of those two is Mo Qi? They’re real pieces of work!" Zhao Zijun asked.
"Mo Qi isn’t here. These two are his lackeys."
"To beat up this whole crowd in such a short time... their skills are impressive. No wonder you were no match for them."
While the four of them were chatting, Liu Hui and Jin Sanpang were exchanging glances.
"San Pang, the Wealth-Bringing Boy brought us three big fish!"
"Let’s rob ’em! Rob ’em all!"
Qian Duoduo had no idea that his group of four had become "big fish" in the eyes of Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui. He was still plotting the most epic way to start his speech and show off.
Nor did he realize that Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui had already moved to flank them, trapping the four of them in the middle.
As for Zhao Zijun, Nangong Yan, and Zhu Fan, they noticed Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui’s subtle movements but paid them no mind.
As scions of the Six Great Clans of the Imperial City, even if they weren’t from the Direct Lineage, they each had their own pride.
Never mind that they had the numerical advantage; even if they were alone against Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui, they wouldn’t have backed down.
It wouldn’t even cross their minds to think they were no match for them.
"Hahaha! You damn fatty, you big oaf! Your Grandmaster Qian has returned! Surrender now! Strip naked and get in line, or else... heheh, you’re going to be sorry!"
Qian Duoduo suddenly planted his hands on his hips and let out a maniacal laugh, roaring out the words.
A sleazy grin was plastered on his face. Who knew what he was thinking, but it was definitely nothing good.
Zhao Zijun and the other two facepalmed.
’This is so fucking embarrassing!’
’We don’t know this guy!’
If the situation weren’t so inappropriate, they would have beaten Qian Duoduo up themselves without waiting for anyone else.
"Dazed Dragon, that ’big oaf’ he mentioned... is he talking about you?" Jin Sanpang asked, turning to Liu Hui in confusion.
Liu Hui’s face was cold. "What do you think, you damn fatty!?" he snapped.
He bit out those three words with particular venom.
"So what do we do? Should we insult him back?" Jin Sanpang asked dumbly, scratching the back of his head.
"The hell with insulting him! Let’s just beat him!"
Liu Hui and Jin Sanpang struck at the same time. One went for a chokehold, while the other started pulling off rings and stripping his clothes.
Seeing Jin Sanpang’s money-grubbing expression, Liu Hui, who had Qian Duoduo in a chokehold, shouted in exasperation, "Forget about that stuff! Just beat the hell out of him!"
"Oh, oh, right." Jin Sanpang hastily stuffed the plundered Treasure into his Storage Space and then lunged forward.
While Zhao Zijun and the others stared blankly, Qian Duoduo was treated like a punching bag, thrashed back and forth by Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui until he was crying for his mommy and daddy. It was a truly pathetic sight.
"Stop! I brought backup!"
"There’s a rule against hitting the face... Ouch! My handsome face!"
"Hey! Are you three made of wood? I didn’t call you over to watch me get my ass kicked! Are you going to help or what?"
The three of them had been about to step in, but they all stopped after hearing what Qian Duoduo said.
They suddenly decided that letting Qian Duoduo get beaten up a bit might not be such a bad idea after all.
"Well," Zhao Zijun said, stroking his chin, "his cries for help sound pretty energetic. He can probably last a while longer. It’s not a big deal."
Nangong Yan and Zhu Fan nodded in profound agreement.
In truth, the main reason they didn’t intervene was that they could tell Liu Hui and Jin Sanpang weren’t fighting to kill. They weren’t aiming for any vital spots. While every punch landed with a solid thud, they were only teaching Qian Duoduo a lesson with superficial wounds.
"Sirs, sirs! I was wrong, I was wrong! I give up, alright? Here, take it all!"
Qian Duoduo, bruised and swollen, lay on the ground and voluntarily handed over all his belongings.
"So who was this ’big oaf’ you were talking about?"
"Big oaf? What big oaf? I never said that! I was calling you my respected big brother!"
"And what about this ’damn fatty’?"
"Oh, my dear Brother Pang, nothing of the sort! You must have misheard! Anyone who dares to say ’damn fatty’ is making an enemy of me, Qian Duoduo, and I’ll be the first to take them down!"
Zhao Zijun and the others: "..."
’Is it too late to pretend we don’t know him?’
They had always known Qian Duoduo was shameless and had no integrity, but now they realized they had only ever seen the tip of the iceberg.
Jin Sanpang and Liu Hui stopped hitting him. They exchanged a look and scooped up Qian Duoduo’s valuables.
Liu Hui was grinning from ear to ear, without a shred of a dragon’s dignity, as he helped Qian Duoduo to his feet.
He meticulously dusted off his clothes.
"See? If you’d just done this from the start, we could have avoided all this trouble. Honestly. Come, come, Wealth-Bringing Boy, please have a seat right here."
The pair helped Qian Duoduo over to a nearby rock, then turned to face Zhao Zijun and his friends.
"You three. Are you going to hand over your valuables yourselves? Or do you need us to help you?"
In their eyes, the friends of the Wealth-Bringing Boy couldn’t be poor. They were sure to be loaded with treasure.
"What? You’re going to rob us, too?" Zhao Zijun and the others asked in disbelief.
Jin Sanpang nodded, his expression completely serious. "Of course. Brother Mo said not to let a single one get away!"
Liu Hui was much more direct. "I’ll give you three breaths to think about it. Either hand everything over and walk away, or we’ll do it for you. But..."
He pointed at the bruised and battered Qian Duoduo, who was a pathetic mess.
"...you’ll end up just like him."
