Chapter 1005: Chapter 1005: Who Says You Can’t Fall for Someone Else After Falling in Love?

"Hi, beautiful, still remember me?" The man’s deep blue eyes fixed on her, carrying a hint of mystery. His cheeks were slightly sunken, his face the typical sharp Western angles. There was a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, yet he somehow didn’t look like he was actually smiling.

Those deep-set eyes locked onto her, as if locking onto prey, a playful smile in them.

Aurelia Shaw’s brows knit together.

She felt she’d seen this man somewhere before, but couldn’t recall where.

Not that it was strange she didn’t remember. Yesterday she’d been rushing to meet Mason Nightshade; she hadn’t even seen clearly the faces of those three blocking her way, just wanted to get it over with quickly.

On top of that, Robert hadn’t said a single word, just stood there with zero presence. It’d be odd if she did remember him.

Aurelia assumed he was someone from the theater, arched a brow. "Doesn’t ring a bell."

Her tone was light, carrying a sense of distance.

The man didn’t mind at all and prompted her, "Yesterday I was going to invite you to a party. You suddenly had something to do and left. I was heartbroken for quite a while."

Aurelia remembered.

No wonder he looked familiar. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

So he was one of those three from yesterday.

"Oh?" Aurelia’s voice rose slightly. She didn’t want trouble, but if trouble insisted on clinging to her, she wasn’t someone who would back down. "That vibe yesterday... if you hadn’t said, I wouldn’t even have known you were there to invite me."

"I actually thought..." She paused for a beat. "You guys were going to force me to go."

Instead of feeling guilty, the man curved his lips into a smile and took the seat beside Aurelia. "Yesterday... hmm, that was their plan at first. But in the end, the ones who suffered were us, weren’t we?"

Aurelia’s eyes narrowed, a chill glint surfacing in her gaze, the curve of her lips faint and cold as frost. "Then I really did do you wrong."

She was saying it was her fault...

Exactly what she meant, the two of them both knew perfectly well.

"You missed yesterday’s party. How about today’s one?" Robert had already made up his mind—he was going to get this woman there.

He had to figure out what she was about.

Very few women managed to pique his interest like this.

"I thought there was only one." Aurelia answered lazily, already knowing this man intended to cling to her, and she had no wish to keep tangling with him.

The other man was shameless. "There really was only one. But for you, I’ll throw another."

Aurelia let out a mocking little laugh, not buying it. "Throwing a party barely costs you anything. Don’t make it sound like you’re doing it just for me. You just feel like throwing one, right?"

The clothes on him were all designer. The watch on his wrist alone had to cost at least a million.

So Aurelia figured he had to be some rich boy from a powerful family.

The rich second generation in M Nation were even more uninhibited than those in Country Z. Parties were an everyday thing. If they took a fancy to some woman, they’d just throw money at her and chase.

The best way to deal with that type was to ignore them.

Hearing the sarcasm in her tone, Robert only smiled, unbothered. "A party is a party, sure. But if you’re not there, I’ll be really disappointed."

"I already have someone I like." Aurelia said bluntly.

The man froze for a second, then smiled carelessly. "Who says falling for someone means you can’t move on to someone else?"

"I’m already married." Aurelia suddenly added.

If this guy latched onto her, there was no telling how long he’d keep pestering her.

Her instincts told her he’d be a real headache.

Robert didn’t believe her.

Aurelia raised her left hand. On the ring finger of her slender hand sat a delicate, distinctive ring.
