Chapter 1180: Healing Her
Mo Yuheng’s older sister opened her eyes and looked to the side. She saw a few figures, and she froze when she noticed several unfamiliar faces. She was surprised that they were actually otherworlders.
Her gaze then focused on Mo Yuheng, her little brother, who approached her and gently touched her hand. He showed a warm smile.
"Sis, how do you feel?" he asked.
Mo Yiran smiled. "I feel normal."
Mo Yuheng felt an ache in his heart. Her answer was normal. It was not good, nor was it bad. That was because her normal was the constant pain of violent energy wreaking havoc inside her body. It had already become part of her daily life.
Mo Yiran then looked at Aldrian and his wives.
"They are...?"
"Sis, they are otherworlders that I met today. Well, long story short, they can help you get rid of the violent energy inside you," Mo Yuheng said, which left his sister astonished.
She looked at Aldrian and the others again. Even with her weakened body, she did not abandon her judgment. She felt wary of the otherworlders and worried for her brother.
She did not know how her brother had met them, nor how he had convinced them to come here just to help her. In her mind, these otherworlders must want something from him. She could not believe they came without expecting anything in return.
Aldrian, who sensed her rising anxiety, smiled at her.
"Miss Mo, let me introduce myself. I’m Aldrian, and these are my wives, Sylphia, Baek Jimin, and Angelica. We met Yuheng by coincidence while visiting the area near his home. We grew close enough to learn about you who needs help, so I thought I could help you. Or rather, one of my wives here can heal you."
Aldrian said this as he gestured toward Angelica with his hand. Sylphia, Baek Jimin, and Angelica were slightly surprised, especially Angelica. He had not told her anything about it.
Still, she smiled at Mo Yiran and nodded.
"I already know what kind of sickness you have, and I can heal you completely. I can even make you much stronger." she said in a confident tone.
Mo Yiran’s eyes widened as they trembled. Mo Yuheng’s expression brightened, while the doctor showed clear amazement. With such confidence in her voice, it felt as if everything was finally under control, as if everything would truly be alright.
"I can be healed completely?" Mo Yiran asked, her voice trembling.
Angelica nodded.
"My wife here holds the title of Saintess in our world, and one of her most well-known abilities is healing. I do not wish to sound arrogant, but I can guarantee that she is far greater than anyone bearing the title of Saintess in this world. If there is a sickness she cannot heal here, then no one else can," Aldrian said, his voice filled with pride.
The Mo siblings and the doctor were astonished as they looked at Angelica. They truly did not expect that someone as important as a Saintess would come to a place like this.
On Earth, those who bore the title of Saintess were rare and deeply revered by the masses. If this woman was truly greater than any Saintess of this world, as Aldrian claimed, then they were being visited by true big shots from another world.
Mo Yuheng, who still did not know the details of Aldrian and his wives’ status, wondered what kind of identity Aldrian possessed to have a Saintess as one of his wives.
Although Mo Yiran still felt some suspicion toward Aldrian and his wives, the thought that she could be completely healed brought tears to her eyes and filled her with relief. She felt the weight on her heart slowly lift.
All this time, she knew how hard her little brother had struggled to bear the cost of her treatment. Even though he never showed it whenever he visited her, she could still see the signs of his effort and hardship.
This made her heart ache, and she felt a deep sense of self-blame for forcing her little brother to go through such struggles.
At times, she even thought that it would have been better if she had not survived the S-rank gate break back then, so her little brother would not have to take care of her.
But at the same time, her heart tightened at the thought of him living alone without any family left if she were gone. The other blood-related relatives could not be called family after how they had acted like snakes, taking advantage of them after their fall.
With these conflicting feelings, she hoped that her condition could improve as soon as possible so her little brother would not have to endure hardships because of her.
If these otherworlders truly said they could heal her, then she would gladly accept it. She would seize that chance even if they wanted something in return. As long as she could be healed, nothing else mattered.
Mo Yiran’s tears finally fell as she lowered her head.
"Thank you... really, thank you," her voice trembled as her tears fell onto the bedsheet.
Mo Yuheng smiled as he hugged her, and she hugged him in return. The two siblings shared warmth with each other, and the sight brought smiles to Aldrian and the others.
After a few seconds of that touching moment, the siblings separated. Angelica stepped forward toward Mo Yiran. Her spiritual sense had already been checking Mo Yiran’s body since earlier.
Because Mo Yiran’s cultivation was far weaker compared to hers, Angelica’s spiritual sense could easily slip through her body without resistance. She did not need physical contact to understand her condition.
With her spiritual sense at Emperor stage, she could do this much to lower-level cultivators.
What Mo Yiran was experiencing, the so-called chaos fever, was actually something that cultivators in the inner realm had faced before. It was not rare... at least in the past, when the devils still existed on the Barisan continent.
The devils’ attacks could sometimes leave remnants of their energy inside their victims. The violent devil energy would slowly worsen the victim’s condition from within, and if left untreated, it was only a matter of time before they died.
Inside Mo Yiran’s body, Angelica could sense the remnants of that devil energy. This meant that the S-rank gate that had appeared, the one that caused Mo Yiran’s condition, was connected to a territory where devils resided.
The only thing she needed to do was purify the devil energy inside Mo Yiran and heal the damaged parts of her body.
Angelica already had plenty of experience dealing with this problem. To her, it was a simple task.
Heavenly Sanctuary.
Suddenly, the floor beneath Angelica and Mo Yiran’s bed shone with a warm light. Everyone in the room felt a gentle, soothing sensation wash over them as the light illuminated the entire space.
The glow was neither too bright nor too dim. It was perfectly balanced and comfortable to the eyes.
Mo Yiran, who was at the center of Angelica’s technique, experienced the most comforting feeling she had ever experienced. It was so pleasant that it made her want to fall asleep. At the same time, she could feel the changes happening inside her body.
She felt rejuvenated and refreshed. The pain that had tormented her for so long quickly faded away. She could once again sense the surrounding heaven and earth energy, and her complexion rapidly became healthier.
In less than ten seconds, the light disappeared.
Mo Yiran looked like a completely different person compared to just moments ago. There was no trace of sickness left in her. Her eyes shone with life, and her skin had regained a healthy, fair glow.
The Mo siblings and the doctor were stunned by how fast the transformation had occurred.
Mo Yiran tried to rise from her bed. At that moment, her heart trembled at the complete disappearance of the pain within her body. Mo Yuheng instinctively moved to support her.
Once she sat at the edge of the bed, she immediately checked her condition.
She moved her hands, then her feet. After trying to move them for a few moments, she smiled as tears fell from her eyes again.
For the first time in years, every movement of her body was free of pain.
Usually, even moving her fingers felt like needles stabbing into her muscles. Pain had followed her through every small motion she made.
But now, it was gone.
She then tried to twist her body. There was still no pain.
Finally, she gathered the courage to stand, something that had once been agonizing for her.
"Careful, sis," Mo Yuheng said as he helped her stand up. The infusion lines and instruments connected to her did not stop her, as they were long enough to allow her to move without much trouble.
Once she was standing, she nearly shouted in joy as she realized the pain had truly disappeared. She took a first step, then a second—
But suddenly, she moved to kowtow toward Angelica.
Angelica instantly stopped her using her energy control.
"Miss Yiran, please, you don’t have to do that," Angelica said.
Mo Yiran felt her body refuse to bend under Angelica’s control, leaving her standing in place. Tears continued to stream down her face, and since she could not kowtow, she lowered her head instead.
"Thank you for healing me. I... I truly cannot express how grateful I am to you. I no longer have to burden my brother. Thank you... really, thank you."
