Chapter 1017: Attention to all

“Finally,” an excited smile played on Sierra’s face.

However, Arabel and Milica, who were standing nearby, did not share her excitement.

“Is this accurate information?” Arabel asked Leo.

“No doubt about it, Queen,” Leo replied confidently, showing not only the message from the Eye of the Web, but also the information received from Felicia and other sources who watched groups of creatures from other worlds moving across the sky above the Capital towards the Kingdom.

“Look how proud and confident they are. They don’t even try to hide, not fearing that we will find out about their approach,” Sierra noted.

According to preliminary data, more than fifty creatures of platinum and higher ranks were heading towards the Kingdom.

Looking up from the screens, Sierra turned her attention to Arabel and couldn’t help but notice her concern.

“What’s bothering you so much, sis? Their number?”

“I’m worried about the barrier,” Arabel replied, not so much about the numbers as the uncertainty of the actions these creatures would take.

“Heh,” Sierra chuckled. “Don’t worry about the barrier, sis. They won’t dare to completely destroy it.”

“Huh? Why?” Arabel looked at her, puzzled.

“You’re the mistress of this place, and don’t you realize how unique it is?”

“With the advent of new sources, it has become even more amazing, and what do you think these creatures will want to do when they see what is hidden behind the barrier?” she continued.

“Capture,” Milica replied calmly instead of Arabel.

“Exactly,” Sierra nodded. “Once they know what a Kingdom is, they’ll want it for themselves. But when they realize that there is an expanded space of their own inside the barrier, held by it, they won’t dare to destroy it.”

“At least until we give them a good reason to do so,” she added.

“That’s exactly what you’re going to do, isn’t it?” Milica asked, and Sierra’s smile grew even wider.

“Little sister, after what’s about to happen, you and Idan should make your intention come true as soon as possible and move the Kingdom to a safe place.”

Then, after a short pause, Sierra added:

“Because, as I promised earlier, I won’t let anyone who tries to encroach on this place leave here.”

Arabel’s voice soon resounded throughout the Kingdom, and everyone heard it.:

“Attention to all Guild members, guests and residents of the Kingdom! Listen carefully!”

The people and beasts who were busy with their own business looked up, as if searching for Arabel in the sky.

“There is a threat coming to our Kingdom in the form of creatures from other worlds.”

Arabel’s words shattered the serene atmosphere, filling everyone with anxiety.

“Unfortunately, the barrier that protects the Kingdom won’t be able to hold them back, and they’ll break through.”

These words scared most of the residents.

“But don’t worry.

“Although the barrier won’t be able to hold them back, the Kingdom itself isn’t that weak.”

“As the owner of this place and the Queen of this Kingdom, I give you my word that none of you will be harmed, and that anyone who dares to enter here with ill intentions will not leave here.”

“I give you my word.”

“That’s why I ask you: when everything starts, stay calm and don’t panic.”

“That’s it. Thank you for your attention.”

Everyone stood for a while longer, raising their eyes to the sky, and pondered what they had heard. Then, following Arabel’s call, people began to prepare for the upcoming event and return to their homes.

While the awakened ones began to gather in the restaurant and other places, wanting to enjoy the spectacle, it’s not every day that such events happen. They were especially interested in seeing the hidden forces of the Kingdom that were rumored, or perhaps the performances of the so-called Guardians of the Kingdom.

Deep in the ring of the seasons, in a secluded house on the second floor, a blind girl chuckled when she heard Arabel’s speech.

“The Queen, huh?” said Samantha, then looked down, listening to the sounds of the house and watching her loved ones.

They had been living in complete isolation from the rest of the Kingdom for the past few days. As Arabel had promised, food was delivered to them every day, and the problem with electricity and the grid was solved. Thanks to this, none of her family was bored, and everyone was aware of what was happening in the world outside the Kingdom.

Samantha noticed that her family was beginning to show sympathy for the Kingdom and, in particular, for Arabel.

“Maybe it’s for the best,” Samantha said, completely lost in thought. Few people knew what she was thinking at that moment and, perhaps, who she was talking to.

Upon receiving the news of the impending attack, Idan immediately returned, leaving the protection of the city to Ned and Pulsar, whom he released from his star.

As soon as her husband entered the room and wrapped Arabel in his strong and warm embrace, all worries disappeared. She was relieved to shift all the worries onto him.

“Leave it to me,” Idan said readily, taking over.

With the advent of Idan, they had the opportunity to move the kingdom and avoid conflict.

However, remembering all the previous encounters with creatures from other worlds, Idan and Arabel came to the same conclusion that just running away was not an option. They need to assert themselves and show what happens when they are underestimated and dealt with.

They can’t keep running away and turning a blind eye to their arrogance.

“They’re here,” Idan said confidently, drawing everyone’s attention to himself.

“Are you sure?” asked Sierra, who couldn’t see what was going on behind the protective barrier.

Idan nodded, not taking his eyes off the notification that appeared in front of him.:

[Ding! Hostile creatures have been detected within 10 kilometers of your pregnant wife. The status of “Hearth Protector” is activated. All Host stats are temporarily doubled.]

“I completely forgot about it,” Idan thought, feeling his body fill with strength.

“With such power, I can handle everything on my own,” he said to himself with a smile.

However, after seeing how Sierra was looking forward to the upcoming event, Idan decided to become a bystander. He will stay close to his beloved wife, become her support and protection, giving the opportunity to act to someone who really wants it.
