Chapter 576: Chapter 575: Demon Empress Infuriated

When Ye Fan finally awoke, he had no idea how long he had slept. Upon rising, he discovered that the colorful demon fox he had healed was gone.

"Eh, where did it go?"

Ye Fan went outside the cave to search but found no trace of it. He knew the Little Demon Fox had truly left, but he felt no strong attachment. After all, they were merely passersby in each other’s lives.

With that, he immediately got up and departed. His journey in the Outer Domain was only just beginning.

Meanwhile, the group of Hunters Ye Fan had tricked arrived outside the temple at dawn. The temple was completely silent.

One of them immediately asked, "Could that kid have tricked us?"

"I doubt it. Traces of his aura are definitely still here!" another Hunter stated.

"Then let’s go in and check!"

"Okay!"

The group of them rushed inside.

"AH!"

A black mist appeared, and screams echoed from within. Then, the temple returned to its original state, as if nothing had ever happened.

***

Atop Spirit Mountain, the domain of the Demon Clan’s Demon Emperor and their strongest expert, a woman was furiously attacking everything in sight, nearly leveling the mountaintop. Each of her strikes carried an air of invincibility. Though a woman, her strength was second to none, likely even surpassing that of a Sovereign God.

She was the Seven-Colored Demon Empress, an Emperor Level existence.

The Seven-Colored Demon Empress was the absolute ruler of the Demon Clan and one of the top experts in the Divine Domain. No one knew why she was enraged, only that she was incredibly angry.

The Demon Captains and Demon Generals saw their empress’s fury, but none dared to step forward to try and calm her. They all knew their master’s temper. Anyone who approached now would surely be torn to pieces.

Even as they agonized over the damage to the foundation of Spirit Mountain, they couldn’t imagine who had angered their master. While she had a temper, she was rarely truly enraged. This sudden outrage was baffling.

Just then, the Seven-Colored Demon Empress approached the group of Demon Captains and Demon Generals. None dared to speak. A Demon Captain’s power was equivalent to that of a Divine Captain, and a Demon General’s was equivalent to a Divine General’s. As for a Demon Emperor, that went without saying. Although a Demon Emperor’s power was comparable to a Sovereign God’s, there were virtually no Martial Artists among the Sovereign Gods who could defeat one.

Even if such beings existed, they were ancient entities. The Demon Clan had existed for countless eons and had its own share of ancient powerhouses, perhaps even more than others. Otherwise, no one would have dared to challenge the Demon Clan, even during its eras of decline. Such was the might of the Demon Clan.

The Seven-Colored Demon Empress was so exquisitely beautiful that other lovely women of the Demon Clan paled in comparison. She was, after all, one of the three greatest beauties of the Divine Domain. Her timeless, stunning visage could make any heart skip a beat. This, of course, did not include these Demon Captains and Demon Generals. Temptation was one thing; staying alive was another. Facing the volatile Seven-Colored Demon Empress, who would dare be moved? It would be a blatant death wish.

With a thunderous shout from the Seven-Colored Demon Empress, the demon Martial Artists nearly wet themselves. Her fury had grown to an uncontrollable level.

At that moment, the Seven-Colored Demon Empress threw a painting on the ground and declared, "Find the man in this painting and bring him to me! I want him torn into a thousand pieces!"

The group of Demon Captains and Demon Generals stared in shock. The man in the painting was handsome, but they had no idea why he would have offended the Seven-Colored Demon Empress.

Could it be that our Demon Emperor wants to harvest this man? After all, that is a special skill of the Seven-Colored Demon Fox lineage! Our boss is certainly fierce, but no one can be sure!

"What are you still standing there for? Get lost!" the Seven-Colored Demon Empress roared. "Mobilize all the Martial Artists of the Demon Clan. I want him found within a month!"

At her shout, the Demon Captains and Demon Generals scrambled away. With such a formidable leader, they felt a sense of despair. But what could despair do? They still had to obey.

The man in the painting was, naturally, Ye Fan.

When the Seven-Colored Demon Empress thought of all the ways Ye Fan had tormented her, she wished she could flay him alive.

Throughout the Divine Domain, few could withstand the wrath of a Demon Emperor.

Ye Fan probably had no idea that two powerful figures in the Divine Domain now had a warrant out for him.

He continued to roam the Outer Domain, searching for the legendary Vast Divine Steel. If he could acquire that material, his Godhead would become even more stable.

Although he had found nothing of note in the past few days, Ye Fan did notice something important: the number of Martial Artists in the Outer Domain seemed to have increased. He didn’t know why they were so active, but he suspected that some great treasure was about to appear.

Ye Fan roamed the Outer Domain for many days. He found quite a few spiritual materials, but he also came close to death on many occasions. This was no simple journey. The Outer Domain’s reputation as one of the Divine Domain’s most notoriously dangerous places was well-earned.

Feeling tired, Ye Fan went to a river, intending to scoop up some water to drink. However, when he saw a corpse floating toward him, he could no longer remain calm.

"Damn it!"

Ye Fan felt disgusted, as he had drunk from this very river just a few days ago. As nausea washed over him, more and more corpses floated by. They belonged to all kinds of different races.

Suppressing his revulsion, he fished one of the corpses out of the water.

The body stank, but on it, he sensed the aura of a mineral vein.

Are these people mining slaves? Ye Fan wondered in shock.

The Divine Domain’s constant invasions of the Human Clan’s secular world were driven by one purpose: to enslave their people as miners. These slaves were forced to dig for materials to create weapons and forge Godheads. The greed of the Divine Domain exceeded his expectations. He sensed this situation was far from simple.

Ye Fan followed the river upstream.

The corpses became more numerous the farther he went, while the river’s flow diminished, blocked by the bodies. It was then that Ye Fan realized this must be the River of the Dead.

At the river’s end, Ye Fan finally saw a mine shrouded in dense fog. He approached quietly and confirmed his suspicions. Thousands of slaves were toiling away, mercilessly whipped by the Divine Guards. The dead were immediately thrown into the river to float downstream.

Nearby, a force of about ten thousand Divine Race troops was stationed.

"Sir, the mine’s output has dropped recently," one of the commanders said. "I’m afraid it will be impossible to complete the task set by the Hu Ben Main God. Could you possibly put in a good word for us with him?"

This commander was clearly the overseer here, a powerful warrior at the Divine General Level. The man he addressed with such respect was no weaker—also a Divine General.

As the two Divine Generals conversed, Ye Fan concealed all traces of his presence.
