Chapter 380: Chapter 379: Breaking Through the Encirclement

Ye Fan asked the woman, "Why is your breakthrough speed so astonishing?" In his view, she was merely a low-level vampire; it should have been impossible for her to have such a terrifying rate of growth.

The woman retorted, "Are you afraid?"

"Me, afraid? Are you joking?" Ye Fan scoffed. "There’s no one in this world I fear, let alone you. Besides, even if your growth rate is fast, you’re no match for me!

"Now, let’s go," he commanded. "Take me to the vampire headquarters, and I’ll spare your life."

The woman asked, "What do you want at the headquarters?"

"To save people, of course," Ye Fan snapped. "The major Vampire Princes are offering sacrifices to please the Bloodline Ancestor. Fortunately, she hasn’t emerged from her seclusion yet, or she would unleash a terrible massacre. I have to rescue my women before that happens!"

The Bloodline Ancestor’s strength was terrifying; she was the undisputed leader of the Vampire Clan. Moreover, she was about to emerge from seclusion, so the Vampire Princes were gathering women of high quality to serve as blood offerings for her. Their previous scramble for the Bengyu was also related to the Bloodline Ancestor.

At this moment, the woman said, "Perhaps the Vampire Clan has its reasons."

"That doesn’t justify harming the innocent!" Ye Fan immediately rebuked. "That’s why I have to hurry. If I’m too late, it’ll all be for nothing. I know that helping me goes against the interests of your Vampire Clan, but if you delay or try to trick me, those people will die."

The woman replied immediately, "The shortest route to the vampire headquarters passes through Prince Greedy Blade’s territory. To get there as fast as possible, you have no choice but to cross it."

Ye Fan mused. Prince Greedy Blade? Among the many Vampire Princes, he’s ranked just behind Prince Bao Feng. His strength is not to be underestimated.

With no more time to waste, he said, "Alright, we’ll go through Prince Greedy Blade’s territory!" He had to rescue Luo Yazhi and the Dark Night Demon Queen, no matter the cost.

The woman nodded and led the way. Her current composure was a far cry from the weak and pitiable air she’d had before.

For some reason, I can sense an aura from her that’s even more formidable than Su Qingxue’s. I must be mistaken. Still, a closer look reveals her underlying frailty. Maybe she’ll become someone extraordinary within the Vampire Clan someday, but right now, she’s just too weak. Even with that aura, it’s useless; her power can’t support it. Perhaps she’s destined to become the Bloodline Ancestor’s woman. After all, her beauty is unparalleled among the Vampire Clan, and even in the entire Western World.

She led Ye Fan into Prince Greedy Blade’s territory. To cross it, they would have to pass directly through his castle. This was undoubtedly a challenge. If they went around the castle, they would lose precious time, a luxury Ye Fan could not afford.

They passed through several layers of guards. To Ye Fan’s relief, the woman had several opportunities to expose him along the way but chose not to, which allowed him to relax slightly.

He looked at the black castle ahead and, beyond it, a faint mountain in the far distance. That was the vampire base. If things went smoothly, they could reach it in three days at most. This all hinged on one condition: they had to get through the black castle today. The castle was heavily defended by Blood Clan guards. While he could likely kill them if he forced his way through, drawing the attention of Prince Greedy Blade would guarantee a difficult battle.

At this point, Ye Fan asked, "Is there any way to pass through Prince Greedy Blade’s castle unnoticed?"

"Yes," the woman replied.

"Oh?" Ye Fan looked at her curiously.

The woman explained, "Prince Greedy Blade is an extremely greedy person. On top of that, headquarters demands daily sacrifices, so many prisoners are escorted through or brought to the black castle every day. We can disguise ourselves as prisoners and slip through."

With no time to delay, Ye Fan immediately agreed. "Good. Let’s go now!"

The two approached the black castle, disguised themselves, and blended in with a group of prisoners. These prisoners were ordinary people, mostly women with only a few men among them. Any who dared to cry were viciously beaten by the vampires. Ye Fan was infuriated. If he weren’t on a mission to save his women, he would have dealt with these cruel vampires himself.

Once inside the black castle, a screening process began. Since Ye Fan and the woman looked dirty and disheveled in their disguises, they were led deeper into the fortress; after all, the clean ones were to be offered to the Bloodline Ancestor.

As night fell, two vampires came and escorted Ye Fan and the woman away. They were clearly being taken to the bathhouse. Once cleaned, they would be sent to Prince Greedy Blade.

Ye Fan glanced at the woman, signaling that he was about to make his move.

The woman stopped walking. In that instant, Ye Fan struck, unleashing his Pure Yang Power. A thick, fiery wave of True Qi erupted, instantly disintegrating the nearby vampires. Guards from farther away heard the commotion and rushed over.

"Let’s go!" Ye Fan yelled, pulling the woman along as he fled. Along the way, he cut down every Blood Clan Warrior he encountered, each falling to a single strike from his sword. His Cross and Diagonal Sword Technique was unparalleled in its sharpness.

"We just have to cross the dark area ahead to escape the black castle!" the woman told him.

Ye Fan saw that the dark area stretched for a long distance. To save time, he swept the woman up and carried her on his back. She was startled and a little uncomfortable at first, but she gradually grew accustomed to it as they sped forward. Although the vampires gave chase, their speed was no match for Ye Fan’s.

Suddenly, two arrows shot out from the darkness ahead. Ye Fan swiftly dodged them and saw five men emerge. They were five sinister figures, baring their blood-red fangs, their very appearance chilling to the bone.

Ye Fan set the woman down. "You go on ahead. I’ll handle these five!"

"Alright!" the woman nodded.

As Ye Fan charged, the five men instantly spread out, each holding a mirror. A beam of red light shot out from each one, converging to surround him. He knew this was no ordinary light; it was a Blood Clan Array. He was grazed by one of the beams and felt his skin begin to scorch, forcing him to dodge. The five men had joined forces, temporarily trapping him in the center.

"Pure Yang Power!"

As all five charged at him, Ye Fan unleashed his Pure Yang Power. The effect was devastating. The five men coughed up blood as they were sent flying backward. At that moment, Ye Fan brought out his Yuanhong Sword, unleashing his most powerful Cross and Diagonal Sword Technique as he lunged at them. In an instant, one of the men was decapitated.

The remaining four scrambled back in disarray, trying to conjure the red light again. But Ye Fan held the Yuanhong Sword before him, and a terrifying aura—a mixture of Sword Qi and killing intent—erupted from the blade.

There was no doubt that Yuanhong, the Thousand-year-old King Sword, was exceptionally potent against vampiric power.
