Chapter 1075: Chapter 1074: Trembling
This unexpected incident was really hard for Jiang Cheng to accept. His initially joyful mood vanished, replaced by a rising fury.
Truly, "man is bullied by man and horse by rider"!
Do you think I’m a sick kitten just because the tiger hasn’t shown its power?
As Jiang Cheng looked at the ugly faces of the people in front of him, ready to act, Ba Lv instead stopped him.
"Teacher!" Ba Lvluo shouted, seeing Jiang Cheng’s expression and knowing that her teacher was on the verge of erupting, she spoke up just in time.
"Teacher, if a fight breaks out, this spaceship might get caught in it," Ba Lv remarked. "I don’t want to see that; I’ll just go with them."
Jiang Cheng suppressed his anger and coldly said to the group, "She can go with you, but if you harm a single hair on her head, you’ll regret it."
Without waiting for them to respond, he swiftly snatched a short gun from one of the group members, bending it into a piece of scrap metal with his hands and tossing it at their feet.
"See that? If you don’t listen to me, that’ll be your fate!"
Ignoring the group’s rapidly changing expressions of anger and fear, he turned to Xuran and said, "You go with them. If anything displeases you, do whatever you think is right!"
Glancing coldly at the group, Jiang Cheng’s figure flashed, and he disappeared.
The group and their subordinates were left dumbfounded, staring in the direction where Jiang Cheng disappeared, and then at the crumpled short gun at their feet, finally realizing who they had provoked.
This realization brought them secret relief, as they hadn’t dared to make any excessive moves towards the two girls in front of them.
The group left two subordinates to guard Jiang Cheng’s spaceship, and then took Xuran and Ba Lvluo away.
Bang! The grand gates of Dalken’s mansion were kicked open, then clattered to the ground.
"Who’s there?" The commotion brought all the security personnel of the Dalken household rushing out.
They looked at the intruder who had walked in, crossing their arms defensively in front of them, subtly sizing up the invader.
Who is this guy before us? Has he eaten a bear’s gall to have the guts to cause a scene here?
"Get Dalken out here!" Jiang Cheng paid no heed to the security members before him and shouted fiercely.
"How dare you address the master by name!" One of the security members stepped forward to stop Jiang Cheng.
Dalken was so wealthy that he valued his life greatly, and because he had made too many enemies in business, he spared no expense in hiring capable security personnel.
With money comes bravery; Dalken indeed found people of great ability willing to work for him.
Dalken’s wealth and power meant that most people wouldn’t challenge him lightly. These security personnel haven’t had many chances to see action, and now faced with someone who seemed formidable, they were eager to try their luck.
Local law stated that a person’s property was sacred and inviolable, and resistance against home invasion could be considered self-defense.
This phrase was deeply significant, freeing the security personnel from any hesitation as they prepared to fight.
Jiang Cheng, in a fit of rage, couldn’t abide others shouting at him.
He dashed forward, and before the security members could react, the one who had just been shouting at Jiang Cheng was already in his grasp.
Jiang Cheng gazed directly at the man he was holding and roared, "Speak! Where is Dalken?"
Even though he was being held, the security guard, trying to save face or perhaps because he was naturally aggressive, began to curse, "You bastard, let go..."
Before he finished speaking, Jiang Cheng hurled him toward the crowd in front.
An intensely uncomfortable sound echoed; two mangled corpses now lay on the ground, red blood, white brain matter, and shattered body parts mixed together, emitting a pungent stench that was unbearable.
The security members had never witnessed such brutal methods before. Panicked expressions took over their faces, and before they could act, Jiang Cheng’s figure flashed again, seizing another security member.
"Speak! Where is Dalken?" The same tone, the same question.
"I... I don’t know, ah—" Before the scream finished, that person was again thrown by Jiang Cheng. The screams abruptly ceased, and two more mangled bodies appeared on the ground.
Either way leads to death! Some of the security members began to resist.
A few rushed at Jiang Cheng, with weapons gleaming in their hands.
"Hah!" With a fierce roar, multiple blades stabbed at Jiang Cheng’s body from different angles.
Jiang Cheng extended his hand, blocked a blade, and with a flick of his hand, several security members around him tried desperately to stop the flow of their blood, but their struggling bodies finally unwillingly fell to the ground.
Seeing the situation turn dire, the other security members began to flee.
Jiang Cheng snorted coldly, tapped his toes in succession, and the blades on the ground seemed to have grown eyes, flying up to plunge into the backs of those security members.
The last security member, left alive by Jiang Cheng on purpose, was already emitting a foul stench. Terrified by Jiang Cheng’s ferocity, he had lost control of his bowels.
"Speak! Where is Dalken?" The same voice rang out for the third time.
"He, he took his son, and, a few hours ago, just left." The guard’s voice trembled as he saw Jiang Cheng closing in, pleading, "Don’t kill me, he has a brother, living in XX villa."
Faced with the threat to his life, the guard’s speech no longer stuttered, and he spat out the words all at once.
Jiang Cheng halted, not believing anyone would dare lie in such a situation.
Turning away, Jiang Cheng left, and behind him, more than a dozen bodies lay scattered in the courtyard, blood flowing freely on the ground, the strong scent of blood permeating Zhou Country.
A person shaking with fear, still trembling, was muttering indistinct phrases under his breath.
A local rich man, ignorant of danger, sought to seize Jiang Cheng’s spaceship through foul means and had Ba Lv and Xuran taken away by a reckless group, driving Jiang Cheng to uncontrollable anger.
Someone dared to rob him under broad daylight, and if he hadn’t retaliated, it would be an undeserved blessing for them. Truly, ignorance is fearless.
After dealing with Dalken’s security, Jiang Cheng didn’t stop for a moment, heading to find Dalken’s local brother.
Xuran and Ba Lv were taken back to a military base by the group, and as they entered, soldiers passing by gave them strange looks.
"Wow, quite the catch you’ve got there, where did you find such two beauties?" asked one man, whose large mouth seemed disproportionate on his face, whistling at the leader of the group.
"Don’t say nonsense!" The group leader, having witnessed Jiang Cheng’s might at the airport, was stern in his response. If not for Ba Lv’s timely intervention, he wouldn’t have even managed to walk back to the camp. He clearly remembered how terrifying that man was.
Therefore, he refused to join in his big-mouthed colleague’s playful remarks.
