Chapter 87: Chapter 87: The Arrogant Xavier Hill
Soren Sean’s entrance definitely brought dread to Carter Hill’s mind.
This clearly showed that settling the issue quietly was nearly out of the question.
"Xavier Hill, listen carefully. Whatever he asks, don’t confess that this business involves you, got it!" Carter yelled desperately.
Xavier still acted like he couldn’t care less and gave a nod. "Got it."
Carter’s mind was racing with worry. When dealing with someone like Soren Sean, all his success and position meant nothing!
Before long, Soren Sean brought his people through the door.
Soren Sean’s expression stayed neutral, revealing barely any feeling.
But his powerful presence made everyone tremble!
Even Xavier, who thought he ruled the world, felt some fear right then.
Soren Sean’s presence was just too intense! Nothing like what he’d experienced before, not even with the provincial leader!
"Mr. Yan, what brings you here..." Carter put on a fake smile while fighting back the panic inside him.
Soren Sean gave him a cold look and stayed quiet.
His guards quickly brought over a chair and set it down for Soren Sean.
Soren Sean took his seat slowly, and someone next to him lit up a cigar.
The room went dead silent, but the silence just made Carter more terrified.
Dealing with this kind of person was pure mental torture! Too much for anyone to handle!
Sweat poured down Carter’s face, his body shaking so bad he nearly collapsed.
Soren Sean calmly puffed out some smoke, looked at Carter, and said flatly, "Carter Hill, you’ve got some nerve."
When Carter heard that, his legs gave out and he crashed to the floor!
"Mr. Yan, I...I have no clue what you mean..." Carter kept denying it.
"Really?" Soren Sean raised an eyebrow, took another drag, and chuckled. "You think lying to me makes any sense?"
Carter’s body shook again, and he looked up, saying with a trembling voice, "Mr. Yan...I honestly don’t get it..."
"Don’t get it..." Soren Sean’s face slowly turned ice-cold.
"Let me help you remember."
"The last guy who went after my daughter was the Lukas Family from Capital City. You should know exactly what happened to them."
When Carter heard this, his face went white with shock!
The Lukas Family from Capital City! They used to be the top wealthy family in the capital!
But that once-powerful Lukas Family went under in just days! Word was that nobody knew where the Lukas family members ended up!
The whole thing had shaken up all of Capital City back then, but nobody knew the real story!
Some folks claimed the Lukas Family had screwed up their business, while others thought they’d crossed the wrong people...
But nobody realized it was actually the Sean Family behind it!
Carter dropped to his knees with a "thud," keeping his head down, not even brave enough to look at Soren Sean!
"Mr. Yan... This whole thing has zero connection to our Hill family!" Carter said through gritted teeth!
He knew damn well he could never admit to anything! Once he did, the Sean family would destroy him!
Soren Sean stared down at Carter and said coldly, "Lift your head and look at me."
Carter’s body went rigid, and he shivered. "I...I can’t..."
"I said lift your head!" Soren Sean roared!
That shout scared Carter so bad he fell flat on the ground again.
He fought to get back up, forcing himself to meet Soren Sean’s eyes.
Seeing Soren Sean’s icy stare, Carter’s face turned ghostly white, shaking like a leaf!
Soren Sean glared coldly at Carter and said, "You think I need proof to destroy you?"
Carter went blank and dropped back down with a crash.
Right, the Sean Family didn’t need any proof.
Once they had doubts, survival was basically impossible!
Soren Sean glanced at Xavier nearby and asked casually, "That your son?"
Carter quickly answered, "Yes, yes, Mr. Yan, this worthless boy is Xavier..."
Then Carter spun around and screamed, "Say hello to Uncle Sean!"
Even though Xavier could sense Soren Sean’s intimidating presence, his natural cockiness kept him from feeling scared.
He snorted and said, "My old man already told you, this mess isn’t our problem. Why are you being such a jerk about it?"
Carter nearly passed out from rage when he heard that!
"What the hell are you saying, you moron! Say sorry to Mr. Yan!" Carter screamed frantically!
But Xavier kept being stubborn. "Even if you’re some big shot family from Capital City, you still gotta have proof before doing anything. What makes you think we’re involved?"
Watching the defiant Xavier, Soren Sean couldn’t help but laugh.
"How amusing." Soren Sean tapped his chair, his mouth forming a cruel smile.
"You little punk! Talking to Mr. Yan like that, you got a death wish!" Soren Sean’s bodyguard shouted furiously.
Xavier sneered, "This is Chuzzle, not Capital City! Plus, there’s just two of you. One phone call from me, and I swear you won’t make it out of Chuzzle alive, believe it!"
Xavier’s stupidity and attitude almost destroyed Carter completely.
And right then, Soren Sean’s face was getting even more frozen.
"We’re done for, we’re done for..." Carter realized this situation probably couldn’t be fixed anymore.
He slumped down, his eyes getting kind of blank.
Xavier kept acting tough, staring at Soren Sean, and snorted coldly, "You’ve already pissed me off. Even a powerful outsider can’t beat the locals. Today, I’m gonna teach you a lesson!"
Soren Sean stared coldly at Xavier without speaking.
Xavier pulled out his phone and quickly made a call.
After hanging up, Xavier smirked, "You can get lost now, while you still can. Otherwise, I’ll make sure you don’t see tomorrow!"
"Is that so?" Soren Sean laughed with no concern.
"It’s been years since anyone had the balls to talk to me like that." Soren Sean looked up and sighed with some nostalgia.
Xavier gave a light snort, "I already gave you a way out. Your own fault for not taking it, so don’t blame me!"
"Mr. Yan, they’re here." Soren Sean’s bodyguard spoke up then.
Right after he said that, helicopter sounds suddenly came from outside!
Countless lights broke through the windows and blazed into the room!
On top of that, there were dozens of armored trucks outside and hundreds of fully armed soldiers!
