Chapter 834: Chapter 834 Footprints Of The Dead

This Mystic Realm contained numerous dwellings. The space wasn’t just adequate for people to live in—it could easily house an entire sect.

But my main goal was staying hidden. So I just cleaned up one spot until it felt right.

"With this Mystic Realm, I won’t need to panic even if I lose the Power of Martial Saint," I thought to myself.

Still, I knew deep down that I had to get stronger fast.

Borrowed power could never be truly dependable.

Right now, everything looked calm on the surface.

But I was well aware that countless hidden enemies were waiting in the shadows.

People like Garcia Coleman, the Michelle Sect, and those two from the Eve family at the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets.

They probably weren’t making their move because they didn’t want to face the Power of Martial Saint inside me.

Once I got everything sorted here, I focused on Leigh Simpson.

"How do I get into this Mystic Realm next time?" I asked.

Leigh spoke seriously, "You can only enter this Mystic Realm using the mystic keys."

I frowned. "Only the mystic keys? There’s no other method, like some kind of token?"

"No, just the mystic keys," Leigh shook his head.

I voiced my worry, "Won’t there be a chance the mystic keys get discovered?"

"Exactly, so the mystic keys can’t be shown to others carelessly," Leigh nodded.

I got it now.

That explained why so few people could access the major Mystic Realms.

Then Leigh passed the mystic key to me.

This key would let me come and go from this Mystic Realm whenever I wanted.

When the three of us came back from the Mystic Realm, I looked at Stella Lucas. "What’s your plan?"

Stella shook her head. "I’m not sure."

I made a sound of acknowledgment and stopped paying attention to Stella. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

"Oh yeah, Leigh, can this Mystic Realm’s key be changed?" Something just occurred to me.

Leigh smiled bitterly. "You’ve got some wild ideas. If keys could be changed, you’d be making your own Mystic Realms."

"Good point," I nodded.

"You can hang around here for now. I need to head out."

I was planning to see the man with the mustache again.

First, I wanted to learn what had gone down with the Immortal Slaying Sect.

Second, the mustached man had been around and knew a lot.

I was hoping he could help me gather the herbs and materials I’d need for my breakthrough when I went into seclusion.

I could sense the Power of Martial Saint inside me slowly fading away.

At this pace, the Power of Martial Saint would only stick around for another week or so.

Before it vanished completely, I had to collect enough resources for my breakthrough.

After I left Gyeon City, I called the mustached man.

From our conversation, I learned he was still at the Immortal Slaying Sect, setting up the formation.

I didn’t waste time and headed straight for the Immortal Slaying Sect.

When night came, I finally reached the area near the Immortal Slaying Sect.

The mustached man was already waiting for me by the shore.

He pointed at the messy footprints covering the ground. "You see that?"

Looking at this scene, I couldn’t help but frown.

I crouched down and studied the many footprints on the ground carefully.

A lot of these footprints were incomplete.

This was proof enough that the footprints didn’t come from normal people, but from broken corpses.

"Judging by these footprints, at least dozens of corpses have been brought back," the mustached man said grimly.

I looked troubled.

I took a deep breath. "These corpses are at the Mighty Realm. If someone with evil intentions used them, it would be a total disaster."

"Right," the mustached man nodded.

"They might not match the two you have, but they’re definitely not on the same level as regular martial artists."

I frowned. "Who’s controlling these corpses?"

"I have no idea," the mustached man shook his head.

"But one thing’s certain—whoever controls these corpses isn’t ordinary. This technique disappeared long ago."

"Even I can only resurrect two corpses at most, and that would still require tons of time and energy."

This news was truly terrifying.

Even the Capital City Martial Arts Association would struggle against this kind of force, wouldn’t they?

Then the mustached man took me down to the sea floor.

Next to the Immortal Slaying Sect’s main entrance, a glowing formation was set up.

Without delay, we both entered the Immortal Slaying Sect.

Once we were inside the sect, the mustached man couldn’t help saying, "Mason, the teleportation formation I set up is totally obvious. You’ll get found out eventually if you hide here."

I sneered. "Obviously, I know that."

"Then why did you have me build the formation?" the mustached man muttered.

I glanced at him. "I want them to find it on purpose, to throw them off."

The mustached man narrowed his eyes. "You never planned to hide here from the start?"

"Exactly," I nodded.

"Before I came here, I already took control of one of the Michelle Sect’s Mystic Realms."

The mustached man suddenly got it.

I didn’t keep talking about this.

I looked around and saw countless holes throughout the Immortal Slaying Sect.

The entire sect looked like farmland that had been plowed, with all the dirt dug up.

"Did you discover anything here?" I asked.

The mustached man shook his head. "I’d love to find some treasures, but sadly, I didn’t even find a single thing."

I just made a sound and didn’t continue that conversation. Instead, I asked, "By the way, do you know where I can find Divine Medicine or dark energy?"

The mustached man rolled his eyes. "Divine Medicine? If there was a place like that, I would’ve gone there ages ago."

"Let me tell you, Divine Medicine is part of heaven and earth’s laws, and anything that belongs to the laws has to follow a pattern."

"For premium Divine Medicine that’s lived for tens of thousands of years, usually getting one is already pretty lucky after all those cycles."

This made me sigh quietly.

As my strength grew, so did my need for medicinal herbs.

Regular herbs didn’t do anything for me anymore.

"But... if you’re asking about dark energy, I know some places," the mustached man said, switching topics.

I quickly looked at the mustached man, showing him to keep talking.

The mustached man continued, "Very few people in the world use dark energy for cultivation, so there hasn’t been much development of dark energy resources. Because of that, dark energy might be easier to get relatively speaking."

I said urgently, "Where? Take me there right now."

The mustached man looked at me. "Even though dark energy resources are relatively easier to get compared to qi resources, that doesn’t mean they’re just lying around everywhere."
