Chapter 827: Chapter 827 Portrait Of The Guardian

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, I dragged Cedric Barnes towards the restroom.

Despite Cedric Barnes’s desperate struggle, it was all in vain.

The crowd, finding it entertaining, wore teasing smiles on their faces.

Several minutes later.

From inside the restroom came the anguished wailing like a pig being slaughtered.

"Mason Raymond, I will kill you!!!" Cedric Barnes’s furious roar echoed throughout the entire Capital City Martial Arts Association.

I dusted off my hands and headed straight for the exit.

"Mr. Raymond, did you really make him eat shit?" Pearson Bowman asked, somewhat confused.

I shrugged, "As a man, I must do what I say."

I continued walking to the exit.

By the door, I encountered a young man.

This young man was none other than Garcia Coleman.

He looked at me coldly, with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, and said, "Mason Raymond, I’m here to issue you a final warning."

"Cut the crap." I responded with a cold sneer.

Garcia Coleman casually said, "Hand over Mabel Sean, and I can spare you. I could even let you into the Second Secret Realm, how about it?"

I countered with a grin, "Hand your mother over to me, and I can spare you your dog’s life, but I’d have to ask if your father agrees."

"You!" Garcia Coleman’s face instantly reddened, his whole body quivering with rage.

I scoffed, "What a fool, stop making a fool out of yourself here."

Leaving behind those words, I turned to leave.

Garcia Coleman was trembling with anger as he watched Mason Raymond retreat, a deadly malice flashing in his eyes.

"When will this Mason Raymond’s Power of Martial Saint disappear?" He asked the elderly man beside him.

The elderly man replied, "Master, based on our calculations, Mason Raymond’s martial saint power will disappear in half a month."

"Good!" Garcia Coleman’s face was ferocious.

"Let him be arrogant for a few days, once his martial saint power disappears, I will definitely kill him with my own hands!"

——

I bid farewell to the crowd, then got into the Green family’s car and headed for their residence.

On the road, Elena Green chuckled, "Mr. Raymond, have you noticed that since Garcia Coleman appeared, the conflicts between martial artists and regular people, seem to have decreased a lot?"

I nodded, "Yes, this is just a shift in the conflict. But it’s temporary, deep down in your bones, you all still look down on ordinary people." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Elena Green sighed faintly, "Different living environments naturally result in different mindsets, this is unavoidable."

Hearing her words, I turned to Elena Green and scoffed, "Mabel Sean isn’t like that. That’s what sets her apart from you people."

Elena Green was taken aback and fell silent.

Although she and Mabel Sean were friends, she had to admit that she would never be like Mabel Sean and choose a simple and ordinary Mason Raymond.

She did not have the courage, nor the boldness to do so.

The car eventually arrived at the Green family’s residence.

The Green family’s home appeared quite ordinary; it was a villa in Swallow City.

Although it was also a luxurious manor, it seemed relatively modest compared to other families’ estates.

Elena Green invited me to sit at a round table in the courtyard, where someone had already been waiting.

This person was none other than Saumel Baton.

"Mr. Raymond, we meet again," Saumel Baton laughed.

I glanced at him, "If you want to talk to me about Mabel Sean, I suggest you don’t."

Saumel Baton reluctantly shook his head, "Are you so cautious? Mabel Sean...."

"Shut your mouth!"

Before Saumel Baton could finish speaking, an intense murderous spirit radiated from me!

Feeling this murderous spirit, Saumel Baton’s brow furrowed slightly.

"Saumel, stop talking," Elena Green shook her head.

Saumel Baton took a deep breath and held his tongue.

Elena Green served tea for the two of them, then smilingly said, "Mr. Raymond, please have some tea."

"Miss Green, we are all busy people, let’s get straight to the point," I replied.

Elena Green nodded, she smiled and said, "About the information of the Guardian, I do know a thing or two."

"It is said that the Guardian and the Capital City Martial Arts Association signed a contract years ago, demanding that the Martial Saint must not emerge. Since then, there has been no Martial Saint in this world."

I nodded, "But what I don’t understand is why no one in the world has been able to step into the realm of Martial Saint since then?"

At this point, Saumel Baton chimed in, "It’s nothing more than limitations of the world itself."

"World?" I glanced at him, "Then why can’t people in the Mystic Realm step into the Martial Saint?"

Saumel Baton responded with a faint smile, "Mason Raymond, you’ve really taken the Mystic Realm to be a separate world? To put it plainly, it’s just a home created by powerful cultivators."

"Home?" I frowned.

Saumel Baton continued, "Just like how some live in mansions while others live in shantytowns, but essentially, we are all living in this world, under this universe."

"The Mystic Realm is nothing more than a space you create for yourself. This space is unstable and is far from comparable to the real world."

"If your strength is powerful enough, you can shatter a Mystic Realm."

Upon hearing these words, I had a sudden moment of realization.

"So who exactly is the Guardian? How powerful is he?" I seemed baffled.

Elena Green chuckled, "According to rumors, the Guardian is someone who guards a world. Those who can become Guardians are the finest of their kind, their strength unimaginable."

I stroked my chin, seeming perplexed as I asked, "Then who is choosing the Guardian?"

Both Elena Green and Saumel Baton pointed towards the sky simultaneously.

"Path of Heaven?" I asked, surprised.

"Correct." Saumel Baton nodded.

"Of course, these are just rumors; there’s another theory that says the Guardians are simply very powerful, and voluntarily take on the responsibility of guarding a world, which is why they are called Guardians."

"Indeed, the greater the power, the greater the responsibility." Elena Green also followed with a nod.

I fell silent and did not speak for a long while.

"Do you both know who this Guardian is?" I asked with a hint of curiosity.

Elena Green remained silent, instead she looked towards Saumel Baton.

Saumel Baton laughed, "My family does own a portrait of the Guardian. If you’d like, I can take you to see it."

"Really?" I got up in a hurry.

Saumel Baton nodded, "Of course, if you are willing, we can go right now."

"To the Mystic Realm?" I asked.

"Yes." Saumel Baton nodded slightly.

Hearing this, my eyes slightly narrowed.

I knew nothing about the Mystic Realm Saumel Baton spoke of.

No one knew if there was a Martial Saint in that Mystic Realm.

More importantly, I could not be sure, if Saumel Baton had any ulterior motives. If I indeed went, whether I would be able to return was not certain.

"Mr. Baton, why don’t you bring the portrait out instead, okay?" I suggested with a smile.
