Chapter 819: Chapter 819 Rallying The Capital Heirs
I followed behind Pearson Bowman, heading in a particular direction.
Along the way, Pearson Bowman couldn’t resist voicing his confusion, "Mr. Raymond, did you really kill Ms. Zackary?"
I looked at him, shaking my head as I replied, "No."
"Mr. Raymond has always stayed under the radar," Wayne Ran commented with a grin from beside us.
I chose not to elaborate, knowing that explanations wouldn’t help.
As we talked, we reached a pavilion.
Inside the pavilion sat a stone table, with every seat already occupied.
Young heirs from Capital City’s elite families had nearly all assembled here.
Apart from Pearson Bowman and Wayne Ran, figures like Males Ran, Zora Solomon, Elena Green, and Wilbert Jaxon had all shown up.
I couldn’t help but knit my brows.
I instinctively looked toward Pearson Bowman, beginning to grasp what these people were after.
It was obvious that these individuals had recognized me and wanted to draw me into their so-called inner circle.
"Mr. Raymond!" Upon seeing me, Wilbert Jaxon rose to his feet and bowed respectfully.
I returned the gesture with a slight bow.
Then I found an empty spot and sat down.
"Mason Raymond, you’re quite the force now, even Ms. Zackary met her end at your hands," someone remarked from the side.
"That’s right, Ms. Zackary ruled over Capital City for years, nobody thought she’d fall to someone so young."
"Honestly, we figured you came from nothing and wouldn’t amount to much, but look how far you’ve gotten."
Listening to their compliments, I stayed quiet.
I had no interest in Capital City’s young elite circle, and my opinion of them wasn’t great, so naturally I didn’t have much to contribute.
"Where’s Alberto Sean?" Right then, I noticed something odd.
Scanning around, I indeed saw no trace of Alberto Sean.
"Word is that Alberto Sean has gone into isolation," Zora Solomon explained.
"Isolation?" I raised my eyebrows.
"To break through to Half-step Martial Sage?"
"Not quite, it should be to reach Consummate Inner Strength Grandmaster," Wilbert Jaxon jumped in.
I gave a nod.
It seemed that once this hectic period ended, I should also carve out time for some isolation training.
"Actually," at that point, I turned to look at everyone.
"I’ve heard you’ve all been inside the Scripture Pavilion before, correct?"
Elena Green was first to confirm, "Yes, typically everyone here should have visited before, though the frequency varies. I’ve only gone three times."
"Someone like Alberto Sean, he’s probably entered the Scripture Pavilion more than anyone."
Wilbert Jaxon nodded as well, "True, the Sean family’s influence is massive, regular folks can’t match them."
I surveyed everyone, pressing on, "I’m really curious, what’s actually in the Scripture Pavilion and what have you all gained from it?"
"Ha, Mr. Raymond, this shows your lack of knowledge," Pearson Bowman chuckled lightly.
"It’s called the ’Scripture Pavilion’ because it originated from Buddhism and was later taken over by the Capital City Martial Arts Association."
I expressed surprise, "Originated from Buddhism? So the materials in the Scripture Pavilion weren’t created by the Capital City Martial Arts Association?"
"Of course not, the Capital City Martial Arts Association has only been around for a few years, how could they compile so much martial arts history?" Someone nearby shook their head.
"Though over time, the Capital City Martial Arts Association has indeed added to the Scripture Pavilion, making it richer than it originally was."
This made me even more fascinated by the Scripture Pavilion.
"Speaking of it, the Scripture Pavilion’s records should be the most complete, covering both techniques and Martial Arts Development History," Pearson Bowman said seriously.
"Exactly." Zora Solomon, who had remained silent until now, also nodded.
"Too bad I’ve only visited three times as well, so I can’t say I’ve seen or learned that much."
It was clear that everyone in the room yearned for the Scripture Pavilion.
Seeing this, I immediately took the chance to ask, "Would anyone be interested in entering the Scripture Pavilion again?"
"Mr. Raymond, I don’t think anyone could resist the Scripture Pavilion’s appeal?" Wilbert Jaxon laughed.
I got to my feet and said, "In that case, please follow me to the Capital City Martial Arts Association to make an application."
"Since we’re from the first class of the Martial Arts Academy, we should qualify to enter the Scripture Pavilion."
"And because you’re all from prominent families, the Capital City Martial Arts Association probably couldn’t handle the combined pressure from all of you."
With these words, everyone present immediately looked thoughtful.
"Mr. Raymond, are you being serious?" Elena Green asked with amazement.
"Completely, at least you’ve all visited the Scripture Pavilion, while I haven’t even been there once," I said.
After a brief pause, Wilbert Jaxon stood up and declared, "I support Mr. Raymond’s proposal."
"Right, if Alberto Sean can enter the Scripture Pavilion repeatedly, why can’t we?" Zora Solomon chimed in.
This sparked a chain reaction, with everyone backing my suggestion.
Seeing this, I rose and said, "Let’s not waste any more time then, we’ll leave now and head to the Capital City Martial Arts Association."
The group immediately fell in behind me, making our way toward the Capital City Martial Arts Association.
When we reached Phoebe Billy’s office, I led the way as everyone shared their intentions one by one.
Phoebe Billy and I had already resolved our differences, and now with all these heirs from various families demanding Scripture Pavilion access, Phoebe Billy naturally went along with it.
"I will consider this matter thoroughly." Phoebe Billy pretended to respond seriously.
"For now, you can all return, and I’ll give you an answer shortly."
From the side, I casually muttered, "Please make it quick, so we don’t waste our time."
Phoebe Billy paused briefly, then said, "Usually, I wouldn’t have the authority to decide something like this, but with Ms. Zackary’s recent death, I have no option but to take control."
"Since everyone is so enthusiastic, I’ll go ahead and make the call—tomorrow morning at eight o’clock, gather at the Martial Arts Academy."
"Thank you, Chairman Billy!" Everyone celebrated this news.
After leaving the Capital City Martial Arts Association, everyone was amazed, "Mr. Raymond, I didn’t think Phoebe Billy would actually agree."
"Yeah, Mr. Raymond, you’re really something!"
I also laughed and said, "It had nothing to do with me, the main factor was the influence of all your families."
Of course, this comment was just modesty on my part.
After saying goodbye to everyone, I got ready to leave.
"Mr. Raymond,"
Just then, Elena Green suddenly came after me.
I turned to her and asked, "Ms. Green, what is it?"
Elena Green said seriously, "There are rumors that you took Mabel Sean, is that correct?"
"Yes," I didn’t try to hide this.
Elena Green went on, "Are you planning to visit the Scripture Pavilion for Mabel Sean?"
I frowned slightly, finally nodding and saying, "Yes, what are you getting at?"
"Mabel Sean isn’t secure with you," Elena Green began ominously. "The moment she exits the Second Secret Realm, countless people will target her."
Before Elena Green could finish, a young man approached.
The young man was none other than Saumel Baton, whom they had encountered before.
