Chapter 818: Chapter 818 The Race For Control

"Just how much power is the Capital City Martial Arts Association really concealing?" I found myself growing more suspicious by the day.

Nobody understood the true identities of those eight senior officials.

"Jensen Coleman controls the Second Secret Realm, so he must understand how to break the Spirit binding technique," I reasoned internally.

If I could defeat Jensen Coleman, everything would fall into place.

I turned and walked out of Ricky’s room.

Before long, I reached the Pavilion Master Building.

Looking at Mabel Sean, I couldn’t hide the pain that crossed my face.

Even though the Pavilion Master had healed Mabel’s wounds with careful treatment, her face remained unnaturally pale.

This only deepened my worry.

"Lord Pavilion Master, I need to go back to Capital City," I stated.

Then I gestured toward Mabel Sean soaking in the medicinal bath and continued, "I have to bring her along."

The Pavilion Master looked at me and replied, "She’s perfectly safe staying here."

I gave a bitter smile and responded, "Lord Pavilion Master, I can’t promise the Capital City Martial Arts Association won’t dispatch people here whenever they please. If the Association truly loses control, I fear the Divine Alchemist Pavilion won’t be able to withstand them."

"When that happens, not only will Mabel Sean get captured, but the Divine Alchemist Pavilion will suffer consequences too."

The Pavilion Master gestured toward the secret chamber and said, "Mason Raymond, have faith in me. I’ll handle the arrangements properly. Plus, Paul Randall is here as well."

"Also, I’ll use my network to shield the Divine Alchemist Pavilion."

"Mason Raymond, just leave without worry," Paul Randall approached from nearby.

"Do you really think it’s wise for her to travel with you given her condition?"

I went quiet suddenly.

Clenching my jaw, I bowed and said, "Then I’ll ask both of you to help. I’ll return as quickly as I can."

After that, I said my goodbyes and walked away from the Divine Alchemist Pavilion.

——

Meanwhile, inside the Second Secret Realm.

Within a structure that looked like a royal palace, a towering figure sat upon a throne.

This figure was Jensen Coleman, the one who controlled the Second Secret Realm!

Inside this Second Secret Realm, Jensen Coleman ruled like an emperor from ancient times, wielding complete authority and dominance!

Furthermore, his followers possessed incredible strength!

Eighteen Martial Saints and twenty-one Half-step Martial Sages!

As for those in the Military Marquis Realm, their numbers were beyond counting.

Should this army emerge from the Second Secret Realm, it could conquer the entire planet!

Yet right now, Jensen Coleman’s expression showed deep concern.

"Father, he’s just one Mason Raymond. Why are you so troubled? Simply command me, and I’ll capture him immediately," spoke a young man standing next to Jensen Coleman.

This young man was Jensen Coleman’s firstborn son, Garcia Coleman.

His power had reached the incredible Half-step Martial Sage Realm!

Jensen Coleman looked at him and said, "Mason Raymond isn’t ordinary. Plus, he now wields the Power of Martial Saint."

Garcia Coleman laughed mockingly, "Are those so-called prodigies from the outside world really considered talented?"

"Their resources are pathetically limited, and their foundations and backgrounds are worthless!"

Garcia Coleman shared this view.

Within the Second Secret Realm, the geniuses from the outside world meant nothing.

"Father, allow me to handle this. After all, I haven’t reached Martial Saint level. Even if I leave the Secret Realm, it won’t violate our agreement," Garcia Coleman offered.

Jensen Coleman shook his head, saying, "No, too many have already fallen to that Mason Raymond."

"Father, don’t you trust me?" Garcia looked clearly annoyed.

Jensen Coleman stayed quiet briefly, then said, "Even if you went, you’d need to wait until Mason Raymond’s Martial Saint power fades."

"Moreover...if you lost to Mason Raymond, he’d surely use you as leverage against me, to make demands, or even to reverse the spirit binding technique."

"At that point, I might become the next Ms. Zackary."

Garcia laughed dismissively and said, "Father, what is Mason Raymond? Does he even deserve comparison to me?"

"Doesn’t the Capital City Martial Arts Association need personnel? Why not let me take Ms. Zackary’s role? How does that sound?" Garcia proposed.

Jensen Coleman considered this, then asked, "You truly wish to go?"

"Definitely! Father, you know I’ve been wanting Ms. Zackary’s position for ages." Garcia responded enthusiastically.

After deliberating, Jensen Coleman struck the table and declared, "Fine! I’ll approve it!"

"Tomorrow, I’ll choose three Half-step Martial Sages to go with you when you assume control of the Capital City Martial Arts Association!"

——

By now, I had reached the area near the Capital City Martial Arts Association.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Phoebe Billy.

"I’m on top of Longrun Building on the Association’s east side and need to see you," I told him.

After ending the call, roughly an hour passed before Phoebe Billy showed up in a hurry.

When Phoebe Billy saw me, before he could say anything, I asked, "What’s the situation now? Who’s running the Capital City Martial Arts Association, and can you claim Ms. Zackary’s position?"

Phoebe Billy shook his head and replied, "Since Ms. Zackary died, I am in charge, but only temporarily. The higher-ups haven’t given any instructions yet."

"From previous situations, the higher-ups will certainly send an expert to fill the role."

"Getting actual control will be challenging."

I looked at Phoebe Billy and said, "At minimum, you hold real authority right now."

Phoebe Billy frowned and asked, "What do you need me to do?"

"I need access to the Scripture Pavilion," I said coldly.

Hearing this, Phoebe Billy’s face changed once more.

He couldn’t help saying, "Mason Raymond, if I give you access to the Scripture Pavilion, I’ll surely be discovered! Then I might face execution."

"Then gather everyone to go as a group," I suggested.

"Get all the Martial Arts Academy students to visit the Scripture Pavilion together."

Phoebe Billy looked surprised, rubbing his head as though he found the approach workable.

"I’ll attempt it," Phoebe Billy said.

"You will do it," I said with an ice-cold tone.

Phoebe Billy opened his mouth like he wanted to respond, but ultimately just nodded.

After the meeting with Phoebe Billy, I went directly back to the Martial Arts Academy.

Those around me instinctively stepped backward when they spotted me, as if avoiding a disease.

The explanation was clear; from their viewpoint, I had eliminated Ms. Zackary, and they feared getting involved.

"Mr. Raymond." Right then, Pearson Bowman suddenly came over from a distance.

Wayne Ran was with him.

I gave a slight nod in acknowledgment.

"We’ve prepared a feast in the courtyard, and I’m wondering if Mr. Raymond would like to attend?" Pearson Bowman asked with a grin.

Wayne Ran chimed in, "Mr. Raymond, we really respect you, so please don’t decline."

I considered this for a moment.

I could use this chance to suggest visiting the Scripture Pavilion to them.

These well-dressed young men from wealthy families had seen the Scripture Pavilion before, so they must possess some knowledge about it.

Therefore, I nodded and said, "Sure."
