Chapter 804: Chapter 804 The Heart Of The Enemy
Ms. Zackary sat on a blanket inside her house, drowning in sorrow.
Tears streaked down her wrinkled face, gray hair falling across her forehead. She looked broken.
"This is all my fault. I never should’ve made you fight Mason Raymond..." Ms. Zackary whispered, fresh tears rolling down her cheeks.
She quickly wiped her eyes. Her gaze hardened as she came to some kind of decision.
"I’ll have to hide this news for now." Ms. Zackary’s voice carried desperate resolve.
She wouldn’t tell the higher-ups yet. Instead, she’d secretly bring Mason Raymond to the Mystic Realm before they found out!
Ms. Zackary knew the truth - her life and Leticia’s meant nothing to those in charge.
They’d never risk exposing the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s secrets just for Leticia!
"I’ve given my whole life to the Capital City Martial Arts Association. Time I got something back."
"For Leticia, this is all I can do!"
Ms. Zackary muttered these words, then turned and left her house.
——
Night fell.
I sat in the rented house, worry eating at me.
The man with the mustache seemed pretty chill though, grilling meat and humming some tune.
"You know what? This single-story place beats the hell out of that apartment," the man with the mustache said.
He held out a grilled skewer to me.
I shook my head and let out a heavy sigh. "You have it. I’m not hungry."
The man with the mustache rolled his eyes. "Fine, more for me then."
Right now, word about me smashing that Martial Saint Weapon with one punch was spreading through Pyro’s entire martial arts world.
Breaking a Martial Saint Weapon with Military Marquis Realm power? That was unheard of. A first in history.
Throughout time, tons of geniuses had come and gone, but none had ever pulled off something like this.
"Out of all the world’s geniuses, who could match Mason Raymond?" Everyone was putting me at the very top now.
Even the Martial Arts Forum switched up their rankings.
Alberto Sean, who’d held first place for years, got bumped down to second!
When Alberto Sean saw the new leaderboard, his face went dark.
"First place... that’s mine!" Something vicious flashed in Alberto Sean’s eyes.
——
Dawn broke.
The world seemed fast asleep, but I had zero interest in sleeping.
My time was running out. The Power of Martial Saint could vanish any second, and I couldn’t help being anxious.
"Is she really gonna abandon Leticia?" I couldn’t stop frowning.
Right then, my phone rang.
I checked the screen - unknown number.
I answered fast, and Ms. Zackary’s voice came through the speaker.
"Mason Raymond, name your price. What’s it gonna take for you to let Leticia go?" Ms. Zackary’s tone was ice cold.
I let out a cold laugh. "Ms. Zackary, I think I’ve been pretty damn clear, right?"
Silence from Ms. Zackary’s end. Then she spoke, voice still cold. "Tomorrow morning at eight. Meet me at Qinvor Mountain."
She hung up right after that.
I couldn’t help breathing out in relief, a smile creeping across my face.
"Finally... it worked." I whispered, that heavy weight in my chest finally lifting.
I didn’t sleep the whole night.
Early next morning, I handed Leticia over to the man with the mustache.
"Watch him like a hawk until I get back," I warned.
The man with the mustache nodded. "Don’t worry about it."
Without another word, I headed straight for Qinvor Mountain.
Eight o’clock sharp.
Ms. Zackary showed up right on time at Qinvor Mountain.
In just one day, Ms. Zackary looked like she’d aged decades. She looked completely worn out.
"You finally came," I said, keeping my voice flat.
Ms. Zackary stared at me coldly. "Mason Raymond, you’re ruthless!"
"You didn’t call me here to chat, did you?" I shot back coldly.
Ms. Zackary snorted. "Where’s Leticia? I want to see him."
"No." I turned down Ms. Zackary’s request without even thinking.
Ms. Zackary frowned. "What do you mean no? Can’t I at least see him? How do I know he’s safe?"
I sneered. "Did you let me see Mabel Sean back then?"
Ms. Zackary went quiet. She had nothing to say to that.
"Don’t worry, killing him wouldn’t do me any good. You know what I want better than I do," I said coldly.
Without saying more, Ms. Zackary tossed me a hat. "Put this on."
I knew the hat - it was for hiding your face.
I didn’t bother being polite and put it on right away.
"When we get to the Martial Arts Association, you better keep your mouth shut," Ms. Zackary said coldly.
"Don’t worry," I replied, trying to keep my excitement under control.
We rushed to the Capital City Martial Arts Association together.
After some time, we finally reached the association’s entrance.
The entrance was still heavily guarded, the atmosphere even more serious than before.
When Ms. Zackary appeared, the two guards at the door bowed immediately. "Greetings, Ms. Zackary."
Ms. Zackary didn’t say a word and walked in with long strides.
I followed close behind, my eyes scanning everything around me, taking in every detail carefully.
We passed through the halls of the Capital City Martial Arts Association and reached the back halls.
Behind the back halls stood row after row of buildings.
This was the real Capital City Martial Arts Association.
The moment I stepped inside, I could feel some mysterious atmosphere filling the entire space.
This was my first time in this area, and I studied everything around me carefully.
The buildings, the people walking around - all of it.
To hit the Capital City Martial Arts Association, I had to understand the structure and power the association had.
As we walked, I discovered the association was hiding several mysterious forces.
The buildings around us were more like secret chambers, each house hiding different secrets.
Even the famous Scripture Pavilion was located here.
"Ms. Zackary."
Right then, two men walked up and greeted Ms. Zackary.
Ms. Zackary didn’t say anything, just nodded.
Just as she was about to keep leading me forward, the two men suddenly asked, "Ms. Zackary, who’s this guy? We’ve never seen him before."
Ms. Zackary said coldly, "No need to ask questions. I’m taking him to see the higher-ups."
"This..." The two men looked at each other. "Ms. Zackary, you know this is a top-secret area. Outsiders aren’t allowed in."
Ms. Zackary’s face went cold, and she said menacingly, "So do I need to report to you? Or are you questioning me?"
