Chapter 799: Chapter 799 The Pavilion Master’s Price

At this point, Aiden Eve’s expression softened a bit.

"Looking at Mason Raymond’s behavior, he probably hasn’t figured out what’s hidden in that ring. That’s lucky for us," Aiden Eve muttered.

But Vivi Eve looked worried. "What if he discovers it in the next couple days? That guy with the mustache who’s always with him seems to know stuff."

Aiden Eve’s face darkened at those words.

His brow creased deep, worry flooding his features.

"If this goes south, maybe we could get the Capital City Martial Arts Association to lean on him?" Vivi Eve suggested.

Aiden Eve shook his head, his voice cold. "Already tried that. The people at the Capital City Martial Arts Association told me Mason Raymond just brushed them off."

"Dad, what do we do now?" Vivi Eve asked, anxiety written all over his face.

Aiden Eve let out a heavy sigh. "We’ll have to play it by ear."

——

Meanwhile, after getting back home, I dug through my stuff until I found the ring.

I turned it over in my hands, thinking out loud. "The Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets brought all those treasures just to trade for this ring. That means this thing’s gotta be worth way more."

Still, the ring was stolen property. Seemed right to give it back.

"Damn, where’d you get all this loot?" The mustached man walked in from outside.

I filled him in on everything that happened.

After hearing the whole story, surprise flickered across his face.

He frowned. "Far as I know, this Aiden Eve isn’t exactly a saint. Apologizing isn’t his style."

"Yeah, how else would he raise a son like Vivi?" I nodded.

I passed the ring to the mustached man. "See anything weird about this ring?"

The mustached man examined it. "Maybe there’s treasure hidden inside?"

That got me thinking. I tried probing it with my divine sense.

The second that thread of divine sense touched it, fog came rushing at my face.

Everything around me went pitch black instantly. I couldn’t tell which way was up.

Inside the Spatial Magic Artifact, my divine sense just died.

I yanked my divine sense back quick, my brow furrowing.

"There really might be treasure inside this ring," I said, rubbing my chin.

"But this ring belongs to someone else. Doesn’t feel right to just take it."

The mustached man next to me snorted. "What if you return the ring and Aiden Eve screws you over? You’ll be kicking yourself."

"Good point," I agreed.

After mulling it over a few times, a slight smile crossed my lips.

The next day.

Just like I promised, I went back to the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets.

I carried a fancy box in my hand.

The ring sat inside that box.

Soon as I walked in, the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets members on both sides bowed. "Mr. Raymond, our Pavilion Master’s been waiting for you. Please follow us."

The two led the way past the Great Hall of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets.

After going through the dark room, there was this massive mountain.

On top of the mountain, someone had carved the words: Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets.

"This place is pretty damn impressive," I said, genuinely amazed.

I spread out my divine sense and was shocked to find the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets was hiding tons of martial arts masters.

Plus several unknown powers.

"Seems like this Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets runs deeper than it looks," I thought to myself.

Only with serious backing could it grow this big. The Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets was no different.

Following the two guides, I started climbing the mountain.

The mountaintop looked like it had been flattened out into this huge plain.

On that plain sat a massive villa.

"Mr. Raymond, please come in," the two bowed.

As I stepped inside, the first thing that caught my eye was this enormous cabinet.

The cabinet was loaded with magical artifacts, all top-tier stuff!

Even the Divine Dragon Blade that Vivi Eve had was hanging on the wall.

"Mr. Raymond, you finally made it," Aiden Eve appeared.

He shook my hand warmly. "Come on, let’s sit down."

I waved him off. "Hold up."

I looked at the magical artifacts on the cabinet and smiled. "These magical artifacts are something else. Are they more valuable than the ones outside?"

Aiden Eve chuckled. "Sharp eye. The magical artifacts here are definitely more precious, real one-in-a-million treasures."

That puzzled me. "Pavilion Master Eve, if the ring’s so important to you, why’d you leave it in the Great Hall outside?"

Aiden Eve sighed softly. "Had an emergency that day, didn’t have time to deal with it properly. I put the items on the iron platform, but I never expected something like this to happen."

That made sense. I glanced at the magical artifacts on the cabinet. "This Divine Dragon Blade looks pretty nice."

Aiden Eve’s eyes lit up. He immediately took the Divine Dragon Blade down and handed it to me.

"If Mr. Raymond wants it, just take it! Let’s be friends!" Aiden Eve laughed.

I didn’t hold back and put the Divine Dragon Blade away right then.

"This horsetail whisk looks good too. Is it a Divine Rank Artifact?" My eyes landed on a horsetail whisk.

Seeing the horsetail whisk, Aiden Eve’s mouth twitched a bit.

He gritted his teeth. "If you like it, take it!"

"Thanks, Pavilion Master Eve," I said, pocketing the horsetail whisk too.

After that, I picked out several more Divine Rank Artifacts in a row.

What blew my mind was that Aiden Eve agreed to all of them!

Divine Rank Artifacts are crazy valuable. Even for the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets, they don’t have that many.

And I was walking off with four or five at once. Even the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets had to feel that pinch.

What really didn’t make sense was that Aiden Eve kept saying yes!

"Mr. Raymond, let’s go take our seats," Aiden Eve said with a smile.

I nodded. "Alright, I gotta thank Pavilion Master Eve for all these gifts today."

With that, we headed upstairs.

Upstairs, they’d already set up a feast. Besides Vivi Eve, there was a line of women in cheongsams standing to one side.

These women had killer curves and looked absolutely tempting. Anyone who saw them would be hooked.

"Pavilion Master Eve, what’s all this about?" I asked, surprised.

Aiden Eve laughed loudly. "We’re all men here, and men have certain needs. Don’t be shy!"

With that, Aiden Eve clapped his hands, and those dozen cheongsam beauties immediately surrounded me.

Their seductive bodies pressed tight against my body, their hands slowly stroking my chest.
