Chapter 796: Chapter 796 A Path Of Killing

Cassius Baton’s expression shifted dramatically!

It really was me!

When Sky Harmony League got wiped out, he’d been away and barely escaped the disaster.

But he never thought he’d run into me here today!

"Destroy Sky Harmony League? What the hell are you babbling about?" Mr. Baton kept yelling like an idiot.

Cassius’s face went white. He smacked Mr. Baton hard across the face and snapped, "Shut up and apologize to Lord Raymond!"

"Don’t bother with apologies." I shook my head.

"I told you one hour. It’s been an hour and five minutes now." My voice was ice-cold.

Cassius broke out in a cold sweat, stuttering: "Lord Raymond, I... I had no idea it was you..."

"That’s not my problem." I said flatly.

"Time’s up. You get punished."

I raised my hand and crushed Mr. Baton into bloody pulp.

Kathleen Drake screamed in terror while Cassius’s face crumpled with despair.

"Your turn." I said.

"I’m feeling generous today, so I won’t wipe out your whole family. Killing you two is plenty."

Cassius Baton blurted out, "No... no, Lord Raymond, I know I screwed up, I swear I’ll never bother Miss Drake again, I..."

"Smack!"

Before he could finish, I’d already slapped Cassius Baton’s head to pieces.

In seconds, both father and son were dead on the floor.

Kathleen Drake couldn’t help covering her mouth, her eyes wide with horror.

I glanced at Kathleen Drake. "It’s fine. Your problem’s solved. No need to worry anymore."

I flicked my finger, and spiritual fire instantly burned both corpses to ash.

Kathleen Drake’s face was still frozen in shock.

Two living people had just died right in front of her. Of course she was terrified.

Seeing this, I didn’t know what to say.

It took over an hour for Kathleen Drake to calm down a bit.

She whispered, "Mason Raymond, are all the major powers in Cordelia Kingdom really under your control now?"

"Absolutely." I smiled.

"If you need anything later, just call me. Someone from Heaven Gate will handle it."

"Th... thank you." Kathleen Drake sighed softly.

Seeing her look, I couldn’t help saying, "Think I was too brutal? Didn’t need to kill them?"

Kathleen Drake bit her lip. "I just don’t think you needed to kill Cassius Baton. He was already scared out of his mind..."

I shook my head. "Kathleen, I’ve been through a lot these past two years. Learned something important."

"Being soft on your enemies is being hard on yourself. Their fear of me will fade day by day. When that happens, the one who suffers is me."

Hearing this, Kathleen looked thoughtful.

I stood up. "Got other things to handle. Won’t stick around. Call if you need anything."

"You’re leaving so fast?" Kathleen seemed surprised.

"Yeah, got some important stuff back home." I explained.

I headed for the door with the mustache guy.

Kathleen muttered behind me: "Either way, Mason Raymond, thank you so much."

I smiled but didn’t say anything else.

After leaving the Drake place, the mustache guy and I went straight to the airport.

At the airport, the mustache guy and I sat quietly, waiting for our flight.

The mustache guy suddenly asked, "Mason, haven’t you noticed your killing instinct’s getting stronger? Would you have wiped out a whole family before?"

I stayed quiet. Of course I’d noticed this problem.

For some reason, my killing instinct had been really intense lately. Sometimes I could barely keep it in check.

"Ah, I bet that masked woman infected you." The mustache guy grumbled.

I looked at him. "I once saw my own cultivation path. It was a path of killing. Has nothing to do with anyone else."

The mustache guy shrank back and mumbled: "Just don’t kill me."

I joked: "Can’t promise that. Better watch yourself."

Meanwhile, back home.

Ms. Zackary, who’d been unconscious for several days, finally woke up.

Thanks to extensive treatment from the Martial Arts Association, her body had completely recovered.

She sat in her room with a massive python coiled beside her.

This python was none other than Leticia, the Heaven Swallowing Python.

Ms. Zackary stroked Leticia’s head lovingly. "Don’t worry, I’ll get you back to human form as soon as possible."

Leticia lightly nudged Ms. Zackary with his huge head, as if responding.

Ms. Zackary couldn’t stop thinking about that day’s battle.

And those two terrifying corpses next to Mason Raymond, plus that weird little girl, Watson Thompson.

"What kind of secrets is Mason Raymond hiding..." Thinking back to that day, horror flashed across Ms. Zackary’s face!

She didn’t even dare get close to Mason Raymond again, afraid of encountering those corpses!

Just one look had shattered the Martial Saint Weapon. What incredible power!

Just then, Ms. Zackary’s phone rang.

She picked up. Two cold words came through: "Meeting."

Ms. Zackary didn’t dare waste time. She quickly got up and rushed toward the Capital City Martial Arts Association meeting room.

All the high-ranking officials had already gathered in the meeting room.

This time, even Phoebe Billy, who rarely showed up, was there.

Ms. Zackary hurried to the meeting place and bowed her head to the officials.

"Sorry, I didn’t handle things properly." Ms. Zackary kept her head down, not daring to look up.

"Enough, talking won’t change anything. Come sit down." A higher-up said.

Ms. Zackary quickly took a seat.

"Ms. Zackary, you have two important tasks." A higher-up said.

Ms. Zackary responded immediately, "Please give me orders!"

The higher-up said coldly, "Those two corpses next to Mason Raymond, and that little girl called Watson Thompson, bring them here."

Panic flashed across Ms. Zackary’s face when she heard this.

She stammered, "Respected higher-ups, those two corpses are incredibly powerful. I’m afraid I might not be able..."

"Doesn’t matter." Another higher-up spoke up.

"Those two corpses are figures from thousands of years ago. I don’t know why they suddenly woke up and regained consciousness last time, but it’s unlikely to happen again."

"Just take people with you. We’ll give you the Martial Saint Weapon again."

Ms. Zackary quickly nodded. "Yes, I’ll handle it right away."

"Good, remember, do it fast. If we could get those two corpses, they could be incredibly useful."

"For us, they might have huge historical value."
