Looking at the two hundred yuan on the table, I couldn’t help but want to laugh.
I looked up at Kathleen Drake and asked with confusion, "Who is Mr. Baton?"
Kathleen pressed her lips together and said, "Mr. Baton comes from a very powerful noble family in Cordelia Kingdom. You can’t mess with them. Just go quickly, and I’ll buy you dinner when I’m back in Pyro."
After getting the basic facts, I learned that Mr. Baton was a local noble who wanted to force Kathleen into being with him because he had his eye on her.
Against Mr. Baton, Kathleen had no choice but to send her family back to Pyro and deal with the Baton family by herself.
Just as I was about to say something, the door swung open.
Then, a young man with two people came in from outside.
"Tsk tsk." As soon as the young man entered, his eyes landed on me.
"What, stealing my woman while I’m away?" The young man mocked.
Kathleen quickly tried to explain, "Mr. Baton, he’s my friend, and he treated my father’s sickness..."
Mr. Baton looked at me, sneered, and said, "Treated your father’s sickness? Do you fucking think I’m stupid!"
After saying that, Mr. Baton lifted his hand and smacked Kathleen across the face!
My eyes went cold, and without thinking twice, I slapped Mr. Baton’s face first.
Even though the slap wasn’t hard, it still knocked Mr. Baton off his feet.
"You dare hit our boss! You’re asking for it!" The two bodyguards next to Mr. Baton yelled right away and rushed toward me.
I didn’t even glance at them, directly smashing their heads to bits with my slaps.
Seeing this, Mr. Baton’s face went white instantly!
"You... you dared to touch my men..." Mr. Baton’s eyes went wide.
I stared coldly at Mr. Baton and said icily, "Kid, forcing someone into love doesn’t make it real."
Mr. Baton got up from the floor and said with a cold expression, "So what? I have tons of women around me. She’s just another one! I don’t give a damn if it’s real or not!"
My face went cold, and I said, "Kid, I’m telling you to drop this idea."
But Mr. Baton sneered, "You’ve picked the wrong fight. Nobody dares to mess with our Baton family here!"
"Really?" I sneered back, "Lucky for me, I’m not scared of anyone in Cordelia Kingdom."
Just like I said, I was the master of the major powers now, and what was some noble family to me?
Wiping the blood from his mouth corner, Mr. Baton pointed at me and said, "Fine! If you’ve got balls, don’t leave!"
"I’m not leaving. Go tell your dad that I’m giving him one hour to bring the whole Baton family to get on their knees and apologize." I said coldly.
"In one hour, if I don’t see them, I’ll make the Baton family vanish from this world."
Mr. Baton didn’t say anything, just walked away with a cold grin on his face.
He turned around and left the Drake house. When he got to the door, he threatened, "If you’re a real man, don’t leave. If you dare to run, I’ll kill this little bitch!"
After throwing out those words, Mr. Baton ran off.
Kathleen’s face looked awful, and she sighed, "Mason, you should leave now. The Baton family has huge power in Cordelia Kingdom..."
"How huge?" I asked with a smile.
Kathleen thought for a bit and said, "Do you know about the Sky Harmony League? His father is in the league and even holds a high position!"
"Sky Harmony League?" I raised an eyebrow and couldn’t help but sneer.
"Looks like the Sky Harmony League has already been wiped out. You wouldn’t be unaware of that, would you?"
Kathleen frowned and said, "Wiped out? When did this happen? Who did it? Purple Flame Sect?"
"The Purple Flame Sect is gone too." I shook my head.
"To be exact, there’s only one power in Cordelia Kingdom now, and that power is called Heaven Gate."
"And I am the sect master of Heaven Gate."
After hearing this, Kathleen couldn’t help but laugh, "Mason, stop kidding around. I’ll admit you’ve got some skills, but compared to these forces, you’re nowhere close."
"Mason, I already owe you big time, just leave now. There’s no point in making enemies with the Baton family because of me."
I shook my head and said, "I can’t stand people forcing others into relationships."

Kathleen sighed a little.
She clearly didn’t buy my words.

"Alright, let’s make some food. I’m getting hungry." I patted my stomach.
Kathleen laughed bitterly, "With things like this, you’re still thinking about eating. You’ve got nerves."
Despite her words, Kathleen went to the kitchen anyway.
A few minutes later, Kathleen came out carrying two bowls of noodles.
"There’s not much food at home, so you guys will have to settle for this." Kathleen said.
I laughed, "This is already great. I love noodles the most."

The two of us grabbed our bowls and started eating slowly.
As the hour deadline got closer, Kathleen became more and more anxious.
She nervously walked back and forth in the living room, the worry in her eyes impossible to miss.
"Whew." Right then, I patted my stomach and leaned back on the sofa with satisfaction.
"I’m stuffed."
As I spoke, I looked at the wall clock and frowned, "Has it been an hour already?"
Kathleen whispered, "Yes, exactly one hour."
A hint of coldness flashed across my face.
"This Baton family actually treated my words like empty air," I said, narrowing my eyes.
Just then, a voice came from outside.
"Who has the balls to demand my Baton family to kneel down and apologize?"
Before the voice finished, a man and Mr. Baton walked inside.
This man was none other than the head of the Baton family, Cassius Baton!
"Who has the guts to make my Baton family kneel down?" Cassius said coldly.
Mr. Baton quickly pointed at me and said, "Dad, it’s him!"
Kathleen’s face went pale, and she hurried forward to explain, "Mr. Baton, this is a misunderstanding. Mason is my friend, and he has nothing to do with this."
Just as Cassius was about to get mad, hearing the name Mason, his face changed completely.
"Mason... Mason Raymond?" Cassius scratched his ear.
He quickly looked at the young man on the sofa and carefully asked, "You... are you Mason Raymond?"
I didn’t answer this question, but frowned and said, "I remember clearly that I killed all the people in the Sky Harmony League. How is there still a leftover like you?"
