Chapter 79: Chapter 79 - Ring Challenge

Molly Byron dashed in front of Jaiden Nick, jabbing her finger at him with fury in her eyes. "You think you can just beat someone up and leave? In your dreams!"

Jaiden’s face darkened considerably. He struggled to contain his anger as he spoke. "I don’t want to get entangled with you, so it’s best to stay away from me."

"Who wants to get entangled with you?" Molly crossed her arms with a sneer. "I tell you, since you’ve hit John Nathan, nobody’s leaving here today!" Her voice carried a smug tone.

True to her words, seven or eight muscular men approached from nearby. These guys were fighters from the Underground Boxing Ring, each one skilled in combat.

Jaiden clenched his teeth and pointed angrily at Molly. "You shameless woman! It’s you who did something wrong, and now you’re picking a fight with me too?"

"Spare me the nonsense!" Molly huffed. "You have to face the consequences for your actions!"

Jaiden stared at the cold woman before him, momentarily looking dazed. The scene reminded me of when I was driven out of my family.

"Molly Byron." Jaiden took a deep breath. His tone carried a hint of pleading. "For the sake of our once shared feelings, could you let my friends go first?"

"Let your friends go?" Molly sneered. "Alright, then kneel down and beg me. Maybe I’ll have mercy and let your friends leave." She played with her skirt, her voice taking on a playful edge.

Jaiden appeared stunned. He fixed his gaze on Molly, like he wanted to slap her across the face. But ultimately, he gave a bitter smile.

"Fine, I agree," he said slowly. After speaking, Jaiden bent both knees, preparing to kneel on the ground.

I reached out and grabbed his arm. When he looked up, I shook my head at him. "Not long ago, I was like you, thinking that pleading would let others forgive me. But later, I discovered that wasn’t the case."

"The weaker you are, the more you’ll be bullied. Your pleas will become a joke in the eyes of others," I told him solemnly.

Jaiden looked up at me, visibly moved for a moment.

"Who the fuck do you think you are? It’s none of your business!" Molly charged over, fuming with anger.

"Pa!"

Before she could finish her sentence, I slapped her across the face. The impact sent Molly spinning a full circle before she crashed to the floor. It was the first time I’d ever hit a woman. Though I didn’t use my full strength, her face still swelled up.

"Annoying thing," I said coldly, looking down at Molly.

The surrounding boxers closed in, surrounding me, their faces hard. "Kid, it seems like you really don’t want to leave this place."

Victor Green quickly stepped forward and whispered to me, "Mr. Raymond, let me deal with them for you."

"Yo, someone dares to make trouble here?"

A voice suddenly cut through the crowd. Turning, we saw a man in a black shirt walking toward us. He stood about 1.8 meters tall and looked thin, but his stride was steady – clearly a martial artist. His appearance caused an immediate stir.

"Mr. Gibson, you’re here." The boxers parted respectfully.

The man called Mr. Gibson walked straight up to Victor and said indifferently, "Sounds like you’re pretty good at fighting, aren’t you?"

Victor squinted and replied, "Finally, an Inner Strength Expert. It’s a pity that you’re only a Fifth-rank Inner Strength, not worth mentioning."

"Huh? You know about Inner Strength?" Mr. Gibson asked, sounding surprised.

Victor ignored him and whispered in my ear, "He’s just a Fifth-rank Inner Strength, I can easily handle him."

I nodded and said, "Then hurry up and don’t waste any more time."

"Yes, Mr. Raymond," Victor replied with a nod.

Just then, Molly suddenly rushed over to Mr. Gibson’s side. "Mr. Gibson, they assaulted John! You must teach them a lesson!" she said angrily.

Mr. Gibson glanced at her, looking annoyed. "You’re nothing but trouble! You’re paying for John’s medical costs."

Though clearly unwilling, Molly didn’t dare refuse and quickly nodded. "I understand, Mr. Gibson." She then backed away.

Victor approached Mr. Gibson, fists clenched. "Let’s start the fight. Our sir here doesn’t want to delay too long."

Mr. Gibson glanced at Victor and sneered. "I don’t want to fight with you, a mere bodyguard."

After saying this, he walked straight toward me. Looking down at me, he asked, "This matter started because of you, right? Was it you who ordered your subordinate to hurt John?"

I looked at Mr. Gibson, frowning. "Can you just cut the bullshit?"

Mr. Gibson’s eyes narrowed as he sneered, "Since it’s your doing, you should take responsibility! Of course, I’m not unreasonable either. We’ll settle this in the ring."

I was stunned, scratching my head. "You want to fight me?"

Mr. Gibson sneered again, "What, you don’t dare?"

I looked at him with amusement and asked, "You’re sure you want to fight me?"
