Chapter 770: Chapter 770 There Is Your Explanation

When Alberto Sean spotted me, his expression soured instantly.

"Mason Raymond," he said with ice in his voice, "this little girl murdered one of my disciples. You owe me an explanation!"

"You want an explanation? Sure, I’ll give you one." I sneered back at him.

Before I could finish speaking, golden light exploded outward!

In the next instant, Alberto’s disciple’s skull shattered under my palm strike!

"There’s your explanation. Happy now?" I asked coldly.

Alberto’s eyes went wide with shock.

Rage consumed his entire face!

"Mason Raymond, you’ve crossed the line!" Alberto Sean snarled.

I sneered. "You showed up here with your crew looking for trouble. Little Fish killed him with one hit because he was weak—that’s on him."

"You, as his master, jumped into the fight yourself! Since you threw away your dignity, why should I protect yours!"

"I’m just giving you what you gave me!"

Alberto’s anger boiled over. "Bullshit! If you don’t give me a proper explanation today, you’re not walking out that door!"

I stepped forward, golden light flaring around me again!

"Alberto, if you want trouble, I’m right here!" My aura blazed with power, radiating an unstoppable presence!

At the same moment, Alberto’s body glowed with energy, and our opposing forces created swirling vortexes in the air!

Then suddenly, Alberto pulled back his aura.

He gave me an icy stare. "We will fight eventually, but not today. I’ll let you live a few more days."

With those words, Alberto spun around and walked out.

I didn’t try to stop him.

My body hadn’t fully healed yet, and if we fought now, I might not be able to take Alberto down.

After he left, I turned to Watson Thompson with a frown. "You alright? Did he hurt you?"

Watson shook her head. "No."

The mustache man chuckled. "Watson, you really went overboard with that move. You didn’t need to kill him..."

Clearly, the mustache man was seeing the masked woman’s true nature starting to show.

If this kept going, who knew what might happen next.

But I had a different take on it.

I ruffled Watson’s hair. "It’s fine. He was asking for it by starting trouble. Don’t beat yourself up."

"Mm." Watson nodded without saying much.

Right then, Watson spoke up. "I’m planning to leave for a while."

I frowned. "Leave? Where?"

Watson said, "I don’t know, but I feel like I need to go."

I opened my mouth to argue and stop her.

But I couldn’t help remembering our last clash back at the Immortal Slaying Sect.

"Alright." I surprised myself by agreeing.

"Mason, you..." The mustache man looked stunned—he hadn’t expected me to say yes.

I held up my hand to cut off the mustache man. Looking at Watson, I continued, "But give me two days first."

"Okay." Watson nodded.

After that, Watson turned and headed back to her room.

"Mason, how can you agree to this? Don’t you know she’s extremely dangerous? If she’s not where you can watch her, nobody knows what she’ll do!" The mustache man said frantically.

I looked at the mustache man. "Do you really think keeping her tied to my side would stop her from growing?"

The mustache man opened his mouth but couldn’t answer.

Yeah, as long as Watson stayed alive, her becoming the masked woman was inevitable.

"Plus, what happened last time is already out there, and the Capital City Martial Arts Association won’t just ignore it. Knowing them, they’d probably take Watson away anyway." I said seriously.

"Letting her leave might actually be the better move."

Seeing this, the mustache man stayed quiet.

Then I left the Martial Arts Academy.

I went out and bought several high-grade jade pendants, then infused my own spiritual sense into them.

After working for two solid days, the jade pendant was finally ready.

"Watson, wear this jade pendant and never take it off. If you’re in danger, I can track you down right away." I told her.

Watson took the jade pendant and nodded. "Okay."

After taking the jade pendant, Watson said goodbye to me and the mustache man, then left the Capital City Martial Arts Academy.

Watching Watson walk away, I suddenly felt like I didn’t want her to go.

"No telling what things will look like when we see each other again." I whispered.

——

Three days had passed since the massive battle.

During those three days, Mrs. Zackary still hadn’t woken up.

Even though the Capital City Martial Arts Association did everything they could to heal her body, she wasn’t fully recovered.

Mason Raymond also managed to get some rest during these few days.

He sat in his room, unable to stop thinking about his last fight with Leticia.

"The Power of Martial Saint... with my current abilities, there’s really no way to handle it." Mason Raymond thought.

The Martial Saint’s power was overwhelming and almost impossible for a Marquis to resist.

It was already incredible that Mason Raymond had survived facing it.

"If the last battle doesn’t have a clear winner, will the heavenly guardian book still work?" Mason Raymond asked the mustache man.

The mustache man shook his head. "Obviously not."

Mason Raymond frowned. "So the heavenly guardian book is useless now?"

"No." The mustache man shook his head.

"If the last battle doesn’t have a winner, it automatically gets pushed to the next fight." The mustache man explained.

Mason Raymond nodded.

Based on Phoebe Billy’ intel, Mrs. Zackary would need at least two weeks to heal from her injuries.

For Mason Raymond, those two weeks were absolutely crucial.

"I have to figure out how to handle his Martial Saint’s power." Mason Raymond thought to himself.

Otherwise, in the next fight, Mason Raymond would definitely lose.

Meanwhile, the Capital City Martial Arts Association was having a meeting.

The eight senior officials gathered in the conference room again.

This time, Phoebe Billy attended instead of Mrs. Zackary.

On the big screen in the conference room, a video was playing.

The video showed the battle between Mason Raymond and Leticia.

Though the footage was a bit grainy, they could make out the main details.

"What was that technique he used, and how did it block the Martial Saint’s power?" one senior official said coldly.

"Among all the Marquises, Mason Raymond might be the only one who can resist the Martial Saint’s power."

"Right, if this guy can fight off Martial Saint power while he’s still a Marquis, his future... is beyond imagination."

"Looks like the heavenly prophecy was right. He might actually reach the Martial Saint level, and when that happens, we’ll have real problems."

Phoebe Billy sat quietly, listening to the eight senior officials talk.

"Should we take action?" one senior said coldly.
