Chapter 77: Chapter 77 - Toxic Reunion
When those two people spoke, Jaiden Nick suddenly became furious!
He jumped to his feet, angrily scolding, "Molly Byron, I’ve already broken up with you, stop humiliating yourself for nothing! Get out of here!"
The woman called Molly Byron’s expression changed instantly, her teeth clenched as she hissed, "Jaiden, you dare talk to me like that? Just wait and see!"
With that, Molly Byron turned and stormed off.
Jaiden’s face hardened, and he began sobering up quickly.
I casually asked, "Who was that?"
Jaiden replied with a bitter smile, "My ex-girlfriend. I discovered she was cheating on me with some guy, so we broke up. Never expected to bump into her today."
Hearing this, I couldn’t help but feel a connection. His situation mirrored mine exactly.
I patted his shoulder, offering comfort, "You’ll meet a much better woman in the future, so perfect you’ll hardly believe such a person exists."
These words weren’t just for Jaiden but also a reminder for myself.
"Thanks, Mr. Raymond." Jaiden grabbed his drink and downed it in one gulp.
I said nothing, choosing instead to watch the fight.
On stage, two muscular men about five-foot-ten and weighing around four hundred pounds were battling fiercely.
The sound of each punch hitting flesh drove the crowd’s excitement to new heights.
I sipped my beer, appreciating the ongoing brawl.
"These guys really lack proper technique," Victor Green commented, shaking his head.
I joked, "How long would it take if you stepped up there against them?"
Victor Green boasted, "If I can’t knock them out within thirty seconds, I’ll consider it my failure."
I just laughed, neither confirming nor denying his claim.
At that very moment.
Molly Byron was heading our way.
Beside her walked an extraordinarily muscular man.
This burly guy’s body resembled a small mountain. Standing nearly six and a half feet tall, he stood out dramatically in the crowd!
Jaiden’s face darkened when he spotted the muscular man.
"Mr. Raymond, we need to leave now!" Jaiden urged, grabbing my arm.
I shook my head, "I’m afraid it’s too late for that."
Sure enough, Molly Byron rushed over and seized Jaiden’s arm.
"What’s wrong? Trying to escape? Scared?" Molly sneered.
Jaiden attempted bravery, "Who... who’s running? Can’t I go to the bathroom?"
"You stay right here!" Molly scoffed.
Meanwhile, the burly man approached our table.
He surveyed our group and asked, "Molly, which one’s your ex-boyfriend?"
Molly pointed at Jaiden and answered, "John, it’s him!"
"So you’re this Jaiden Nick?" The man called John moved beside Jaiden.
Facing such an intimidating figure would make anyone nervous.
Jaiden, with trembling lips, demanded, "Who... who are you? What do you want?"
"I’m John Nathan. Didn’t you curse me out over the phone last time?" John sneered.
Hearing this, Jaiden’s face contorted with anger, "So you’re the one who slept with Molly!"
"Ha ha ha, that’s right, that would be me!" John gloated.
Then, John Nathan dropped his massive hand onto Jaiden’s shoulder, sneering, "Last time you threatened to kill me. Well, I’m right here now. Why so quiet suddenly?"
Jaiden’s face paled, undoubtedly filled with silent curses.
How could he possibly challenge such a giant!
"Hmph, look at John, then look at yourself. You’re nothing but a loser!" Molly Byron clung to John, cooing.
Jaiden gritted his teeth and remained silent.
Witnessing this, my face mirrored Jaiden’s expression.
This situation was painfully similar to my own previous experience.
"John, stop wasting time talking to him. He insulted me earlier and defended that whore!" Molly shouted.
John laughed, "Babe, what do you want me to do then?"
Molly Byron gritted her teeth and spat, "I want him to lick my shoe soles! As for that whore, you can handle her, John."
At her words, John laughed heartily.
He glanced at Jessica Pauley with predatory eyes, "This little lady doesn’t look bad at all. I’m just wondering if she can handle me."
Jessica’s eyes flashed with fear, but she gathered courage to respond, "What are you trying to do?! I’ll call the police!"
John looked surprised before erupting into laughter.
"The little lady has some spirit, go ahead and call. Let’s see who’s faster," John taunted.
"If you’ve got a problem, come at me!" Jaiden seemed ready for anything. He threw a punch at John’s body.
With his limited strength, the blow barely affected John.
John glanced at him and sneered, "Have you skipped meals lately?"
Jaiden looked shocked but managed to say: "If you dare, then just kill me!"
John’s eyes narrowed slyly as he smirked, "Alright, I’ll humor you."
Standing nearby, my face turned cold. Glancing at Victor Green, I stated, "I really don’t like this couple."
Victor Green nodded. He clenched his fists and said, "I understand, Mr. Raymond."
