Chapter 762: Chapter 762 An Eagerness To Die
Alberto Sean’s face radiated provocation and malicious glee.
When I saw his expression, I couldn’t stop myself from laughing. "Alberto Sean, I recall the first time we met, you appeared as an elegantly clothed young gentleman with refined manners."
"I believed you were a deserving successor to the Sean family."
"But it appears now that you’re both cunning and perverted."
I shook my head in resignation, my face showing complete disappointment.
Alberto’s eyes grew narrow, and he gave a cold snort. "What you think of me is irrelevant. But whether you’ll live through tomorrow is questionable."
After speaking, he spun around and left.
I didn’t waste energy arguing with him.
His motives were corrupt; using his apprentice to challenge me was merely a pretext to exploit the circumstances.
No matter how my fight with Leticia ended, I would certainly sustain injuries.
When that happened, I might not even match Alberto’s apprentice.
"That Alberto Sean is truly devious and scheming!" the mustached man burst out angrily.
I waved my hand casually. "It’s not important."
...
The following day.
Before I had even stirred awake, two individuals were stationed outside my door.
The moment they spotted me, they hurried over.
"Ms. Zackary instructed us to inform you that she’ll be expecting you at Qinvor Mountain," they announced.
Having delivered their message, they pivoted and departed without a backward glance.
I rubbed my chin and muttered, "Qinvor Mountain... an excellent location for a grave."
After completing basic preparations, I brought Watson Thompson and the mustached man to Qinvor Mountain.
At this point, the vicinity of Qinvor Mountain was packed with spectators.
These individuals had traveled from everywhere, lured by rumors to witness the confrontation.
Members of the Martial Arts Academy had assembled here early, anticipating this eagerly awaited clash.
——
Within the crowd.
A young man’s face burned with fury as he observed the scene unfolding; he found himself clenching his fists.
It was Vance Johansson.
"How did he reach such heights..." Vance ground his teeth.
Without realizing it, he had fallen far behind Mason.
"Mr. Tenny, don’t let anger consume you. Individuals like Mason appear periodically, but their fates are typically unfortunate," a nearby aide offered comfort.
Vance stayed quiet, though his heart seethed with fury.
Ever since his defeat to Mason, Vance had been spiraling downward.
Despite his desperate attempts at recovery, his advancement remained sluggish.
The former top-ten combatant had long disappeared from the rankings.
"Look, Leticia has arrived!" someone in the masses suddenly cried out.
Looking up, they witnessed Leticia positioned atop Qinvor Mountain.
He wore black garments that billowed in the wind.
"What an intimidating presence!"
Even from such distance, someone couldn’t help but express admiration.
"Tsk tsk, you’re quite the flatterer. From that far away, can you actually sense a feather’s aura?" someone mocked.
"You lack understanding, the energy emanating from him penetrates the soul."
"Keep up the praise, perhaps if you perform well enough, he’ll toss you a scrap."
"Who are you insulting?"
"Whoever feels guilty knows!"
Before Mason and Leticia could even commence their battle, the observers below were already bickering.
"Mason has arrived!"
At that instant, someone yelled, and everyone turned to look simultaneously.
——
Mason, the mustached man, and Watson Thompson were stepping out of a taxi.
Compared to Leticia’s "theatrical display" on the mountaintop, I appeared far more down-to-earth.
I wore a simple tracksuit, bearing no resemblance to an elite warrior.
"See, compared to Leticia, isn’t Mason’s presence much less impressive?"
"Go screw yourself, is your aura solely determined by your outfit?"
"If you can’t speak properly, shut your mouth!"
"Leticia is far more attractive than that Mason, Leticia will definitely triumph!"
"Are you joking? Are we determining victory based on appearance?"
"Beauty is power!"
The crowd appeared to have divided into two camps.
Leticia’s supporters and Mason’s supporters argued endlessly.
"Quite a turnout," I remarked, my brow furrowing slightly as I surveyed the sea of faces.
Obviously, Ms. Zackary had intentionally spread the word.
Her goal was to attract more onlookers.
Witnessing this, I squinted slightly. "It appears Ms. Zackary feels quite assured."
In that case, Leticia must possess some remarkable ace up his sleeve.
"You have finally arrived," Ms. Zackary said as she walked toward me.
I glanced at her and sneered, "Old hag, if I hadn’t shown up, how could I butcher your prized monster?"
"You little demon! You remain cocky even when death approaches!" Ms. Zackary’s weathered face contorted with fury.
I chuckled, "Tell him to leap down from that mountain, what’s he doing striking poses up there?"
Ms. Zackary gazed at Leticia, who stood atop the mountain, and said with a mocking grin, "Leticia is meant to reign at the peak, and you will merely be his stepping stone!"
"Is that right?" I arched an eyebrow.
Clenching my fist, Golden Light exploded forth!
Without hesitation, I launched a punch toward Leticia!
Devastating Golden Light blanketed the sky, surging toward him!
"He’s begun!" someone shouted excitedly!
"Boom!"
Nothing remained after the Golden Light struck the summit except scattered debris!
Leticia jumped down from the mountain.
"Old hag, it seems the peak you mentioned is rather fragile," I mocked.
Ms. Zackary clenched her teeth. Realizing she couldn’t gain an upper hand, she fell silent.
"Mason! I’ve been anticipating this moment!" Leticia suddenly roared, his voice infused with Inner Strength that resonated painfully in people’s ears.
I fixed Leticia with an icy stare, then moved toward him.
"Mason, be... cautious," Watson whispered softly, grasping my arm.
I smiled, "Don’t fret, eliminating him will be like squashing a bug."
With that, I launched forward, ascending into the air.
Within moments, I stood face-to-face with Leticia.
Our gazes locked, only feet separating us.
Though neither of us attacked, our energies clashed in the space between.
"Crack!"
The earth below couldn’t bear the strain, and fractures spread like a web.
A whirlwind suddenly formed between the two combatants!
"I’ve been anticipating this day," Leticia stated coldly.
I snorted, "I truly respect your eagerness to die."
"You speak too much!" Leticia bellowed. His frame shuddered, and the black robe tore apart!
With that, Leticia’s dark fist flew toward me!
