Chapter 758: Chapter 758 The Calling Of Treasure
When I stepped out of the restroom, Watson Thompson and the man with the mustache were standing there waiting for me.
"Why aren’t you two checking out the mall?" I asked, pretty surprised.
Watson Thompson shook her head. "What’s fun about a mall?"
I threw my hands up and laughed. "Don’t all girls love mall shopping?"
Watson didn’t really react to that.
The man with the mustache pointed upward. "There’s an Antique Market on the top floor. We should go take a look. Might find some good stuff."
"Antique Market?" My eyes lit up with interest.
Sure, regular antiques didn’t do much for me.
But hidden among those antiques, there might be some unknown treasures.
After all, the martial arts world from way back was totally different from now.
"Let’s go," I nodded.
The three of us headed upstairs.
We reached the top floor.
The moment I walked in, I felt this faint, creepy vibe.
The atmosphere wasn’t thick, but it was definitely dark energy.
"Looks like there really are treasures in this Antique Market," I took a deep breath.
Watson frowned too. "There’s dark energy here. Maybe these antiques came from tombs."
I let my divine sense spread out, covering the whole Antique Market.
I quickly picked up on several martial artists hiding throughout the market.
There were Grandmasters, Military Marquises, and even one who’d hit Peak Form of Military Marquis Realm.
*Hiss...*
Right then, the man with the mustache suddenly sucked in a sharp breath.
He sniffed around and said excitedly, "I can feel some treasure here calling out to me."
"Calling you?" My eyebrows shot up, confusion crossing my face.
The man with the mustache explained, "Even though I’m good at archaeology, most of the time it’s actually the treasures that call to me."
"So basically, The Master got forced into being an archaeology expert."
"That’s shameless," I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at him.
The man with the mustache didn’t say anything else. He just followed that faint calling and strode forward.
Watson and I followed behind him.
With his eyes slightly closed, the man with the mustache walked forward, guided only by that faint calling.
We wandered around in circles, passing several antique stalls.
Finally, the man with the mustache stopped at a big booth.
He suddenly opened his eyes and said in a low voice, "It’s here."
Looking down, we saw several treasures displayed on the booth.
There were weapons, magical artifacts, calligraphy, and antiques.
I released my divine sense, covering the booth.
Soon, I felt an ancient aura coming from the antiques.
"It really is a treasure," I said, amazed.
The man with the mustache sniffed and ran his hands over the antiques.
I wasn’t just standing around either. I used my powerful divine sense to locate the treasure.
Before long, both the man with the mustache and I had our hands on the same gourd.
The gourd looked ordinary, its outer skin practically cracking and peeling.
The man with the mustache and I looked at each other, clearly thinking the same thing.
"This gourd looks ordinary and doesn’t have much energy fluctuation, but I can feel there’s an extremely ancient aura hidden inside," I said in a low voice.
The man with the mustache said, "I can sense that what’s calling me is this gourd."
I reached out and picked up the gourd.
I looked at the stall owner and asked, "How much for this gourd?"
The stall owner glanced at me and said, "Fifty billion, or trade it for an equivalent treasure."
Hearing this, both the man with the mustache and I couldn’t help but gasp.
"Fifty billion? Why don’t you just go rob someone!" the man with the mustache shouted with wide eyes.
I rolled my eyes and said, "What he means is he doesn’t want to exchange it for money, that’s why he threw out such a crazy number."
"Smart guy," the stall owner nodded.
The man with the mustache scratched his head and immediately pulled treasures out of his Spatial Magic Artifact.
In no time, all kinds of magical artifacts appeared, and what was shocking was that they were all top-quality items.
Even the stall owner in front of us was stunned. He swallowed and said, "Where did you...where did you get all these magical artifacts?"
The man with the mustache waved his hand. "Ah, don’t worry about how I got them, just pick one."
The stall owner didn’t hold back and immediately started selecting from the pile of artifacts.
A few minutes later, the stall owner picked up a bead and said, "This one will work."
The man with the mustache looked at the bead and muttered, "You’ve got a good eye. That’s a Buddhist bead from the Western Regions, with a trace of Buddhist faith power in it."
"What, you don’t like the deal? If not, forget it." The stall owner pretended to take the gourd back.
"Hey, hey, hey, who said I don’t like it?" The man with the mustache frantically stopped the stall owner.
The stall owner smiled and said, "Alright, so it’s settled, I..."
"A pile of worthless junk, and you dare bring it out."
Just as both sides were about to make the deal, a voice suddenly cut in from the side.
Turning our heads, we saw a young man with an elegant look standing next to me.
My brow furrowed slightly.
The peak Military Marquis aura was coming from this young man.
And the two old men following him had even more unfathomable strength.
"Who are you talking about?" The man with the mustache was pretty unhappy.
The young man said coldly, "Take away your pile of junk, it’s embarrassing."
"Kid, you dare call this junk?" The man with the mustache immediately got worked up, rolling up his sleeves with an angry face.
"How dare you speak to our young master like that, you’re asking for death!"
Right then, the two old men beside the young man stepped forward and shouted.
They released powerful pressure, making it hard for anyone to breathe.
The man with the mustache’s face changed, and he quickly hid behind me.
The young man glanced at the man with the mustache and said coldly, "Let me introduce myself. My name is Vivi Eve, you can call me Mr. Tenny."
"Vivi Eve?" Hearing this name, the stall owner immediately stood up.
"So it’s the son of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets’ Leader, my apologies!" The stall owner said respectfully.
My brow furrowed slightly.
Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets? What kind of organization was this?
Vivi Eve looked at the man with the mustache and said, "You should have heard of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets, right?"
The man with the mustache was obviously scared and hid behind me without saying a word.
The two old men beside Vivi Eve looked at the man with the mustache coldly and said, "How dare you insult our young master, you deserve a slap!"
With that, both of them stepped forward and reached out to grab the man with the mustache.
Right then, I reached out and grabbed both of their arms.
"Mr. Tenny, right?" I glanced at him.
Vivi looked me up and down and asked, "So?"
I said, "We’re all here looking for treasures, and since we’re treasure hunting, highest bidder should win. No need to fight over it."
