Chapter 757: Chapter 757 The Coming Saint
Ms. Zackary spoke with worry, "Didn’t they say no Martial Saints could exist in this time?"
"That’s right. Under regular conditions, becoming a Martial Saint is impossible in our era."
"No matter if you’re the chosen one from that age or carry powerful bloodlines, reaching the Martial Saint level can’t happen."
"If it could, people like Ignacio Richard and Paul Randall would’ve already become Martial Saints."
"But the current prophecy states that Mason Raymond will shatter this barrier."
Hearing these words, Ms. Zackary felt chills run down her spine!
She understood perfectly how dangerous Mason Raymond was to the Martial Arts Association, but she’d never imagined he might reach the Martial Saint realm.
It wasn’t only Ms. Zackary—everyone at the Capital City Martial Arts Association believed the same thing.
Though they’d taken steps against Mason Raymond, they hadn’t pushed things to the extreme.
"Is... is this prophecy reliable?" Ms. Zackary asked, refusing to accept the prediction.
"We can’t be sure, but heavenly secret prophecies have never been wrong," a senior official said coldly.
Ms. Zackary gritted her teeth, standing up and asking, "What do we do now?"
A high-level official responded icily, "Use any method possible to kill Mason Raymond right away, and don’t give him the smallest chance to reach Martial Saint level."
"Exactly. His current strength means nothing."
Ms. Zackary’s face twisted into a deep frown.
She thought for a moment, then stood up saying, "But... I made a deal with Mason Raymond."
"Deals can be broken. Don’t follow the Johansson family’s path," a high-ranking official replied coldly.
Ms. Zackary answered with some regret, "But I... I signed the heavenly guardian book with Mason Raymond."
Silence filled the room at her words.
"If I lose, I have to give Mason Raymond access to the Second Secret Realm," Ms. Zackary continued.
The mood grew even heavier.
Ms. Zackary was drowning in guilt.
She suddenly stood up and declared, "If I lose, I’d rather give up my soul than let Mason Raymond into the Second Secret Realm!"
"No." The high official shut down Ms. Zackary’s words.
"We won’t let you die. Don’t worry."
"Bring your pet. We’ll give him power."
Ms. Zackary’s face lit up with joy.
"You... You mean it?" Ms. Zackary’s voice shook.
"What do you think?" A high-ranking official replied with annoyance.
Ms. Zackary said quickly, "I’ll do it. I’ll bring Leticia here immediately. Thank you, officials!"
She was so thrilled she almost dropped to her knees in gratitude.
With the senior officials’ help, Leticia was sure to win!
After the meeting ended, Ms. Zackary rushed to find Leticia.
She brought Leticia back to the Capital City Martial Arts Association, then guided him into the Mystic Realm.
——
Right now, I had no clue about any of this.
With just three days remaining, I finally had some free time.
I spent the entire day stretched out in the courtyard soaking up the sun, feeling pretty good.
"You’ll be fighting the Heaven Swallowing Python soon. Doesn’t that worry you at all?" the man with the mustache sat on the wall, complaining while eating his food.
I smiled slightly, "Yesterday, I fought Leticia. If things go like I expect, he can’t beat me."
The man with the mustache rolled his eyes, "What if they’ve got some trick waiting?"
"If they do, so do I," I replied with a light smile.
I felt confident. When it came to technique skills, I wasn’t scared of anyone.
Even if they had the Capital City Martial Arts Association backing them.
Over the past few days, constant noise came from the house next door where Alberto Sean lived.
His number of disciples seemed to keep growing.
Using his reputation built over the years and the Sean Family’s support, lots of people rushed to follow him.
In just a few days, Alberto Sean had nearly twenty disciples.
That kind of influence was really impressive.
Two days flew by in no time.
Only one day was left before I had to face Leticia.
"Weird."
At noon, the man with the mustache walked in from outside.
"What’s wrong?" I asked casually.
The man with the mustache rubbed his chin and whispered, "I haven’t seen Leticia or Ms. Zackary for days. Don’t know what they’re planning."
My brow creased slightly when I heard this, and I became more alert.
This meeting’s result was crucial for me.
As long as I won, I’d be able to find Mabel Sean, so nothing could go wrong.
I wanted to call Phoebe Billy, but when I reached for my pocket, I remembered that Ms. Zackary had destroyed my phone.
"It’s a pain not having a phone these days," I said grimly.
After thinking it over, I decided to go out and buy a phone.
I also took Watson Thompson out for a walk—after all, she was a young girl who shouldn’t be stuck inside all day.
So I called Watson and left the Martial Arts Academy.
We headed straight for Capital City’s biggest mall.
The place was packed with people and buzzing with energy.
This huge store had almost every kind of product you could want.
"Look, she’s a foreigner!" The man with the mustache pointed at a blonde woman with green eyes in the distance.
"Damn, what a hot foreign chick," the man with the mustache muttered.
I rolled my eyes, "Shut up, or stay away from me."
"What’s the problem? She can’t understand anyway," the man with the mustache grumbled.
I ignored him and went straight to buy a mobile phone.
After finishing the setup, I looked at Watson Thompson and said, "Wait here for a bit. I need to make a call."
With that, I turned and walked into the restroom.
I pulled out the phone and dialed Phoebe Billy’ number.
The call connected quickly.
"Phoebe, where’s Ms. Zackary been lately?" I asked straight up.
Phoebe Billy answered seriously, "She seems to have taken Leticia to the Mystic Realm."
"The Mystic Realm?" My frown deepened.
Phoebe Billy confirmed it, then added, "I’ve got bad news for you. The eight senior officials are back. You better watch out."
I stayed quiet.
Just like I thought.
"Looks like that call Ms. Zackary got the other day really was from the high-ranking officials," I took a deep breath.
"Phoebe, do you know what happened in that meeting?" I asked.
"I don’t know. I wasn’t important enough to attend that meeting," Phoebe replied.
This made me even more worried.
"Got it." I hung up.
I stood in the restroom for a long time, then muttered to myself, "Seems like I should get ready with some backup plans."
