Chapter 75: Chapter 75 - Financial Triumph
He had never expected Jack Schultz to actually admit it so openly, not even leaving him a shred of dignity!
"Jack Schultz, you’ve gone too far!" Carter Hill gritted his teeth.
"I don’t believe it, if we’re not with Chuzzle Bank, we can’t survive!" Carter Hill shouted, turning to leave.
"Hold on." Jack Schultz stopped Carter Hill right then.
I watched as Carter paused, a flicker of hope crossing his face as he quickly turned around.
To my amusement, Jack Schultz simply pointed to the gift box on the table and said, "You forgot your things."
This enraged Carter even more. He pointed at Jack Schultz and spat, "Just you wait!"
After throwing down those words, Carter stormed out!
I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself. This Carter Hill, constantly acting superior with his modest wealth, treating ordinary people like dirt beneath his feet. People like him eventually face consequences.
After he left, Jack Schultz looked at me and said with a laugh, "Mr. Raymond, there are sixty-four places in this contract that need signatures. Don’t miss any."
"Don’t worry," I laughed.
It took me nearly twenty minutes to finish signing the entire contract.
After completing the signatures, Jack Schultz pulled out a black bank card.
"This bank card is a VIP card from Chuzzle Bank. As long as you own this card, you will always be a VIP customer of Chuzzle Bank," Jack Schultz explained.
"With this card, most high-end shops will provide special treatment, of course, only in Chuzzle," he continued.
I rubbed the bank card between my fingers, feeling strangely emotional. Just a few weeks ago, I had been completely broke, but now I held a 2-billion-dollar bank card in my hands. The contrast was so stark it felt unreal.
"Mr. Schultz, if there’s nothing else, I should get going," I said as I stood up.
Jack Schultz nodded and replied, "Yes, Mr. Raymond, we can contact each other anytime if anything comes up."
When I walked out of Chuzzle Bank, I found Jessica Pauley and Jaiden Nick waiting for me at the entrance.
"Mason Raymond!" Jessica Pauley ran over as soon as she spotted me.
Jaiden Nick approached me with evident embarrassment and chuckled, "Mr. Raymond, I didn’t recognize you before, I hope you won’t hold it against me."
I looked at Jaiden Nick and shook my head with a smile. Despite his sharp tongue, he was still a good person, always protecting his cousin and not blinded by self-interest.
"Why haven’t you guys left yet?" I asked.
Jessica laughed and said, "You’ve done me such a huge favor, of course I need to thank you properly."
"Yes, yes, Mr. Raymond, you have no idea, Chuzzle Bank directly appointed Jessica to take Manager Seth’s position!" Jaiden Nick quickly added.
"That’s the manager of Chuzzle Bank we’re talking about, truly incredible." Then, Jaiden Nick couldn’t help but sigh in amazement.
I was somewhat surprised too, not expecting Jack Schultz to show me so much respect.
"Mason, why don’t I invite you to dinner tonight?" Jessica offered.
"There’s no need for dinner," I shook my head.
I didn’t want involvement with any woman other than Mabel Sean, and that included Jessica.
"Mr. Raymond, I insist on treating you to dinner tonight! You rarely visit Shiglance City, let me be your host," Jaiden Nick said warmly.
Seeing his enthusiasm, I couldn’t bring myself to refuse him.
Feeling cornered, I nodded and agreed.
The three of us arranged to meet at 6 p.m., after which I returned to my hotel.
When I got back, Victor Green was waiting for me in the lobby.
As soon as he saw me, Victor Green hurried over.
"Mr. Raymond, why didn’t you wake me up!" Victor Green said anxiously.
I laughed and said, "Seeing you sleeping so soundly, I just didn’t have the heart to disturb you."
Victor Green replied embarrassedly, "I’m a heavy sleeper. Next time just wake me up, and if that doesn’t work, give me a good beating. I’ll definitely wake up then."
I couldn’t help but laugh at his suggestion.
At the same time.
After leaving Chuzzle Bank, Carter Hill didn’t immediately leave Shiglance City. He visited all the major banks in Chuzzle, but unfortunately, every single bank refused the Hill family’s loan application.
The reasons given were surprisingly consistent: they lacked confidence in the Hill family’s future and didn’t believe they had the ability to repay the loan.
Carter Hill tried numerous connections, but all his attempts ended in failure.
This made Carter Hill realize that obviously, someone was deliberately sabotaging the Hill family. Otherwise, it would be impossible to be rejected by every bank!
And the only person who could accomplish this in Chuzzle was...
Mabel Sean.
"She clearly said she wouldn’t get involved in this matter!" Carter Hill’s eyes widened, overwhelmed with anger!
But against the Sean family, the Hill family’s power was hopelessly insufficient.
With mobile phone in hand, after much hesitation, Carter finally dialed Mabel Sean’s number.
The call connected quickly, and Mabel Sean’s cold voice came through.
"Uncle Carter, how do you find time to call me?" Mabel Sean’s voice remained calm and elegant as ever.
Carter Hill took a deep breath and said with an ingratiating smile, "Miss Sean, didn’t you say you wouldn’t interfere in the grudge between the Hill family and Mason Raymond?"
Mabel Sean sounded surprised, "I’ve indeed stayed out of it. Why do you ask, Uncle Carter?"
Carter Hill, restraining his anger, said, "Then why did Jack Schultz reject the Hill family’s loan and immediately approve Mason Raymond’s loan!"
Mabel Sean laughed, "Uncle Carter, you’ve misunderstood me. It wasn’t my doing, but Mason Raymond who earned it himself."
Carter Hill said angrily, "How is that possible! He’s just a waste... just an ordinary person. How could he have any influence with Jack Schultz!"
"Uncle Carter, don’t you know? Mason Raymond cured Mrs. Schultz’s illness! Jack Schultz is exceptionally devoted to his wife," Mabel Sean explained with a laugh.
"Isn’t it strange that the Hill family, with such extensive business, can’t compete with Mason Raymond alone?" Mabel Sean’s words suggested something more.
At those words, Carter Hill stood frozen in place.
Could it be... Mason really earned it on his own merit?
"Uncle Carter, if there’s nothing else, I need to go," Mabel Sean said lightly.
With that, she ended the call.
Carter Hill sat in his car with an ashen face, lost in thought.
"Mr. Hill, where are we heading now?" The driver asked.
Carter Hill coldly replied, "Let’s return to River City first."
