Chapter 748: Chapter 748 The Divine Devouring Skill

I radiated a faint but menacing presence.

My intimidating aura made the woman’s expression grow even more terrified.

Yet right now, she lacked any power throughout her body and had become as helpless as prey awaiting slaughter.

"What... what are you planning to do!" the woman stammered in fear.

I replied with a casual grin, "Relax, as long as you follow orders nicely, I promise I won’t end your life."

"Follow orders?" The woman arched her eyebrows, speaking mockingly, "Men can be truly shameless. They won’t settle for anything unless it’s delicate and young?"

I scoffed, "You’re reading too much into it. I simply have some questions for you. Just stay honest and remain lying there."

The woman scowled, "What do you want to know?"

I paid her no mind and lightly squeezed my hands, sensing the overwhelming strength within my body.

"At last, I’ve achieved the late-stage Military Marquis level." I let out a breath.

The distance between these two phases was beyond description.

The gap between early-stage Military Marquis and late-stage Military Marquis was as vast as the space between sky and earth!

Now, I felt no fear toward any Peak Form Military Marquis!

Battling above my level was simply natural for my chaotic constitution.

"Not only have I advanced to late-stage Military Marquis, but I’ve also mastered a skill..." I whispered.

"Skill? What kind of skill?" the woman inquired with a furrowed brow.

I looked at her and replied, "A skill that can draw in nature’s spiritual energy."

The woman’s expression shifted slightly, and she gasped, "Was the vanishing of the energy in my body earlier due to this skill?"

"Precisely." I gave a nod.

The woman spoke with anguish, "I’ve trained for decades, and you... you’ve ruined my foundation?"

"Don’t panic." I gestured dismissively.

"I only just learned this skill, so it’s not that extreme."

"Your energy should return after some rest."

Though I spoke these words, the woman’s mind remained filled with concern.

I didn’t concern myself with her. I rubbed my jaw, mumbling, "What name should I give this skill?"

I remained there thinking for quite some time, then slapped my forehead, declaring, "I’ll name it the divine devouring skill!"

The woman couldn’t stop herself from chuckling, "After pondering for so long, that’s the name you chose? Divine devouring skill... could it sound any more terrible?"

I gave her a look and stated, "You’re currently at my mercy. It would be simple for me to end you or cause you pain."

The woman’s face shifted, she clenched her teeth and declared, "You’d better not act rashly, or... or the Ice Palace will make you pay!"

I crouched down, smirking, "I despise being threatened by people throughout my entire life, got it?"

The woman parted her lips, not daring to speak further for the moment.

"From this point forward, I’ll question you about something, and you’ll respond. If I discover you’re deceiving me, I won’t think twice about killing you." I spoke icily.

The woman pressed her lip and courageously said, "Go ahead."

"What do they call you?" I inquired.

The woman replied coldly, "Violet Seth."

"What sort of group is this Ice Palace you spoke of?" I kept questioning.

When bringing up the Ice Palace, Violet Seth spoke with a touch of arrogance, "Our Ice Palace is an organization that has existed for a thousand years! It’s not something insignificant people like you can challenge!"

"An organization existing for a thousand years?" I stroked my jaw.

Sure enough, there were still numerous elite organizations that had endured in this world.

"What’s your sect leader’s power level? Martial Saint?" I questioned with some uncertainty.

Violet Seth huffed, "Our sect leader hasn’t reached the Martial Saint level yet, but he’s merely one step away!"

"I see." I breathed with relief.

As long as he wasn’t a Martial Saint, matters would be simpler.

"An organization passed down for a thousand years, and the sect leader is merely a Peak Form Military Marquis?" I spoke mockingly.

Violet Seth laughed coldly, "Do you only understand Peak Form Military Marquis? Let me inform you, beyond Peak Form Military Marquis there’s the Complete Inner Strength Grandmaster! And beyond that, there are Half-step Martial Sages!"

"The distance between each level is as different as heaven and earth! It’s beyond your comprehension!"

I struck my head.

I had completely overlooked the Half-step Martial Sages.

"So... your sect leader is a Half-step Martial Sage?" I asked.

Violet Seth parted her lips and snorted, "No, our sect leader is at the Complete Inner Strength Grandmaster Level."

"That’s not particularly remarkable either." I chuckled.

"You better not disrespect our sect leader! Or else..."

"Or else what?" I said, squinting my eyes.

Violet Seth gritted her teeth and said, "What more do you want to know?"

"One final question." I got to my feet.

"What was your reason for taking the mask?" My voice grew somewhat colder.

Violet Seth frowned slightly, shaking her head, "I’m not sure. All I understand is that our sect leader claimed the mask was crucial and that we had to acquire it no matter what."

I continued questioning, "Did your sect leader ever mention anything about the mask’s purpose or function?"

Violet Seth shook her head, "I’m not sure. The sect leader never explained."

I let out a breath and muttered, "There’s no valuable information whatsoever. You’re truly worthless."

Violet Seth clenched her teeth in the darkness, angrily declaring, "I’m a Peak Form Military Marquis! How dare you call me worthless?!"

I didn’t reply. I extended my hand and seized Violet Seth’s collar, hoisting her up.

Violet Seth grew alarmed, quickly saying, "What...what are you doing! Release me!"

I glanced at her and said, "If I release you right now, are you able to return?"

Violet Seth frowned slightly.

It was accurate, she had no power in her body currently, and even standing was challenging.

"Don’t worry, you’re still valuable to me, so I won’t end your life." I said while moving.

Violet Seth gritted her teeth and reluctantly said, "Can you adjust your grip? Must you carry me this way?"

"No." I said without expression.

...

I brought Violet Seth back to the Noble Family.

The moment I walked in, Guy Noble rushed over.

"Mason Raymond, why did you bring a girl back? She appears quite attractive." Guy Noble licked his lips and spoke lecherously.

I rolled my eyes, "She trains by draining men’s life force. Anyone who gets involved with her will become dried bones."

Upon hearing this, Guy Noble was instantly terrified and stumbled backward.

"Mason Raymond, who is this woman?" Pat Noble couldn’t resist asking.

I clarified, "She’s from the Ice Palace and attempted to assault me, but I captured her."

"Ice Palace?" Upon hearing this name, Pat Noble’s expression couldn’t help but shift slightly.

"It appears you’ve heard of the Ice Palace." Violet Seth sneered.

"Since you know the Ice Palace’s reputation, I suggest you free me immediately. Otherwise, our sect leader will certainly arrive with forces to destroy your Noble Family!"
