With a finger flick, I sent the flame into the cauldron. Fire blazed to life inside instantly.
Eyes half-shut, I guided the flame, pouring all my focus into the pill-making process.
The spirit fire’s heat slowly melted the ancient herb into medicinal liquid.
The thick liquid gave off an amazing smell that stayed trapped in the cauldron, keeping its healing power from escaping.
Time moved fast, and three days flew by.
After three days, the sky started shifting, and strange clouds gathered overhead.
"Pill clouds forming." Back at the Noble Family compound, Pat Noble muttered.
"Wow, they’re gorgeous. I’ve never seen pill clouds like these before," Guy Noble said, amazed.
The Noble Family had plenty of alchemists who’d made pills before, but none had ever seen clouds like this.
The mustachioed man also looked up at the sky.
Squinting slightly, he said seriously, "Looking at these pill clouds, seems like a Divine Rank Pill is coming."
Very few people in the world could make Divine Rank Pills. Even the famous Divine Alchemist Pavilion had hardly anyone who could pull it off.

Right then, several light beams shot through the pill clouds like bullets!

At the Noble Family compound, Guy Noble, the mustachioed man, and others started getting worried.
"It’s been a whole week. Why isn’t anything happening?" Guy Noble frowned as he spoke.
"Yeah, there’s no qi movement coming from Mason’s direction either," Pat Noble said seriously.
Guy Noble looked at the mustachioed man and asked, "Haven’t you gone to check?"
The mustachioed man shook his head. "Mason said he didn’t want anyone coming near during his retreat, worried about accidents."
"I’ll go look," Watson Thompson stood up and said.
The mustachioed man quickly stopped her, shaking his head. "Can’t do that. Mason specifically told me to watch you, no matter what."
Watson Thompson’s eyebrows came together, her beautiful eyes staring at the mustachioed man with a hint of coldness.
The mustachioed man immediately shivered and stepped back twice.
Even though he’d been with Watson Thompson for quite a while, the mustachioed man still felt extremely careful around her.
"I’ll send someone to take a look," Guy Noble said then.
The mustachioed man waved his hand. "Forget it, I’ll go."
Just as they were arguing, brilliant light suddenly burst from the distant mountain!
