Chapter 739: Chapter 739 Challenging The False Prophet
Jean Tricia’ predicted direction seemed different from what the man with the mustache and I had figured out.
He pointed east, while the mustached guy and I thought it was southeast.
"Why the difference?" I asked, confused.
The mustached man explained, "The Path of Heaven has too many variables, so you get different results each time."
"Usually, masters calculate multiple times to nail down the exact spot."
I frowned. "So our result might be wrong too?"
"No." The mustached man shook his head.
"I mean, when ordinary treasures show up, the signs of ancient medicinal herbs appearing are pretty clear, so our guess should be solid."
I rubbed my chin. "That means Jean Tricia screwed up."
The mustached man snorted quietly. "Jean Tricia has weak talent, and he’s all show."
"He spends all his time chasing after social status with his skills, so naturally his abilities get worse."
I nodded slightly.
Like the mustached man said, people with real power didn’t need to fight for social status.
Money and status just came naturally with strength.
"Master Tricia, we’re depending on you this time." Ms. Zackary laughed.
Jean Tricia waved his hand casually, smiling. "Just a small thing; nothing special."
People around kept praising Jean Tricia, calling him a master and a prophet.
All the flattery made Jean Tricia pretty pleased with himself.
"Ha, seems like anyone can call themselves a master these days." The mustached man couldn’t keep quiet, muttering low.
Even though he spoke quietly, everyone heard him clearly.
"What did you say?" Ms. Zackary narrowed her eyes.
The mustached man flinched and quickly smiled. "Nothing, nothing. Just rambling."
Ms. Zackary had been looking for a chance to go after the mustached man. She wouldn’t let this slide.
Suddenly, Ms. Zackary led the crowd toward him.
"Are you making fun of Master Tricia?" Ms. Zackary said coldly.
"I could tell you were trouble from the start. Now you dare run your mouth?"
The mustached man said awkwardly, "I... I didn’t mean that. You misheard..."
Ms. Zackary snorted coldly. "I misheard? Are you saying I’m deaf?"
"Yeah, you’re deaf." I couldn’t take it anymore.
I stepped in front of the mustached man and said coldly, "Old hag, so what if I say you’re deaf?"
Ms. Zackary’s expression shifted, and her aura flared dramatically.
Her eyes moved, but she wasn’t rushing to attack.
Ms. Zackary was crafty, knowing that fighting me now would drain her strength.
After the ancient medicinal materials appeared, she’d lose her edge in the competition.
So Ms. Zackary sneered, "I don’t care if you mock me, but what’s your problem with mocking Master Tricia?"
"Yeah! What’s your deal? Are you questioning Master Tricia’ skills?!" someone nearby yelled.
Jean Tricia also wore a mocking smile. "What did you say before? I didn’t catch it clearly."
I glanced at Jean Tricia and sneered. "Seems your hearing’s bad too. Fine, let me say it again for him."
"You, Master Tricia, are complete garbage, with only a 20% success rate. A washed-up fool obsessed with showing off. I’m being generous by even insulting you!"
"Did you hear clearly this time?"
Those words left Jean Tricia’ face ice cold.
He glared at me, saying menacingly, "You dare look down on me? Do you know anything about reading heavenly secrets?"
"I didn’t know half an hour ago, but I do now." I smirked.
"And my skills are probably better than yours."
Master Tricia burst out laughing. "Hahaha! Your skills are better than mine? Do you even understand the Path of Heaven?"
"Let me tell you, very few people in this world can read heavenly secrets! How dare you brag like that?"
I sneered. "You’re just trash. You’re mediocre. Your predictions are wrong even after multiple tries, and you still dare to con people."
"I’ll tell you, we figured out the same location too."
Jean Tricia scoffed. "Did you hear me mention that location? Now you’re pretending you deduced it yourself?"
"Don’t kid yourself. Our predicted location is different from yours." I snorted.
"Only morons would go east."
After a few rounds, Jean Tricia couldn’t hold back anymore.
He glared at me and shouted, "You can insult me, but now you’re insulting my abilities! You’re disrespecting the Path of Heaven! This is blasphemy!"
"Fucking blasphemy, my ass. Don’t wave your banner here." I laughed.
"Path of Heaven? You know jack shit about the Path of Heaven."
Jean Tricia’ face grew even darker.
He took a deep breath and said, "Disrespecting me is also disrespecting Heaven! If I don’t kill him, I’ll anger Heaven and bring disaster!"
These words were clearly meant to stir everyone up.
"I think Master Tricia is right." Ms. Zackary chimed in.
As a result, more than twenty Marquises pushed forward.
They surrounded the mustached man, Watson Thompson, and me, radiating powerful killing intent.
I looked coldly at the people around us and said, "What a bunch of brainless idiots. Obviously, he’s using you. Can’t you see that?"
"This doesn’t concern you." Someone nearby said coldly.
Ms. Zackary put her hands behind her back and said lightly, "This man has a deep grudge with my Capital City Martial Arts Association."
As soon as she said that, everyone became even more eager and ready to strike.
"Please don’t kill him, leave him barely alive, then destroy him." Ms. Zackary said with a wicked smile.
I looked coldly at Ms. Zackary and said, "Old hag, remember this: I’ll destroy that pet of yours later!"
Mentioning Leticia, Ms. Zackary’s face darkened again.
"Everyone attack. The Capital City Martial Arts Association will owe you all a favor." Ms. Zackary said coldly.
Killing intent surged, and the auras of more than twenty Marquises were incredibly powerful.
Even with my strength, I couldn’t help but feel the pressure.
"Mustached man, protect Watson Thompson." I glanced at the mustached man.
Then I stepped forward, and Golden Light burst from my body!
The dominating aura made everyone’s hearts shake!
"Come on! I fear no one!" I roared, blood surging and my aura reaching its peak!
