Chapter 725: Chapter 725 Armor Against The Heavens
Getting close to Watson Thompson, I noticed white gas streaming from her body.
This freezing white gas killed everything it touched.
The trees around us were rotting fast, and the dark power kept spreading out.
My expression shifted. If this power spread through all of Green Moon Villa, it’d be a catastrophe!
I rushed forward, lifting my hand and shooting out Golden Light to stop this power from spreading.
The power ate away at everything so badly that even my golden light got much dimmer.
"What a scary aura," I muttered with a frown.
My body felt wrong, like this aura might eat me up too.
Looking around, I saw the once-green trees now looked dead and dried up.
"Boom!"
Right then, an even scarier aura exploded from Watson Thompson’s body.
The next moment, a wall of black clouds covered the sun!
"Is she... going to break through?" I seemed to figure something out.
It was clear that Watson Thompson was about to break through to the Military Marquis Realm!
The black clouds above were so thick they were even heavier than the ones during my heavenly tribulation!
Watson Thompson kept her eyes shut, looking like she didn’t care about the coming tribulation.
"Crack!"
A bolt of heavenly thunder hit!
This heavenly thunder was scarier than what I faced during my tribulation!
I couldn’t help but open my eyes wide!
Such a terrifying heavenly tribulation made even me shake!
"Crack!"
Another bolt of heavenly thunder came down, stronger than the last one.
But Watson Thompson still sat perfectly still, and the power that had been spreading around her suddenly pulled back, wrapping tight around her body like armor!
"Crack!"
Heavenly thunder came down again, hitting hard against that white power!
Surprisingly, such scary heavenly thunder couldn’t even shake the white power!
"How terrifying..." I couldn’t help but whisper.
What was this white power to be so tough?
Even the heavenly thunder looked weak next to it!
"Could this be the masked woman’s backup plan?" I wondered to myself.
I still didn’t know what connected Watson Thompson to the masked woman.
But I was pretty sure there had to be some link between them!
Staring up at the blue heavenly thunder bolts filling the sky, my face got more serious.
Going against heaven meant that the more talented you were, the scarier your heavenly tribulation would be during breakthrough.
Plus, another thing that made heavenly thunder stronger was how much of a threat the person was to the world or what chances they’d gotten while training.
Like, if someone going through tribulation had killed lots of people, their heavenly tribulation would definitely be scarier.
Man with the mustache had said that the masked woman had killed tons of people in her life and was a real demon.
If Watson Thompson really was the masked woman, she’d basically used some special way to dodge time’s damage, breaking the rules of the Path of Heaven!
Her heavenly tribulation would naturally be even scarier!
I looked up at the dark clouds still flashing in the sky, my face getting darker and darker.
Even I felt cold thinking about such powerful heavenly thunder.
"Boom!"
Heavenly thunder kept coming, and the white power around Watson Thompson got even thicker.
It was like unbreakable armor, firmly keeping the heavenly tribulation from getting through.
More than a dozen heavenly thunder bolts came down, and Watson Thompson stayed perfectly fine!
"This is terrifying..." I whispered.
If this white power could be made into armor, how strong would it be?
Right then, Watson Thompson slowly opened her eyes.
Her level had really stepped into the Military Marquis Realm!
I hurried over to her and asked, "Watson, how do you feel now?"
Watson Thompson answered, "I feel great."
Her words were short, and she seemed different from the playful Watson Thompson from before.
This made me worry.
Could it be that as Watson Thompson got stronger, she’d get closer to being the masked woman?
"I can’t let that happen," I thought to myself.
I needed to find time to look into the masked woman’s background.
"I’m a bit tired. I’ll go back and rest first," Watson Thompson said to me.
I nodded, saying, "Alright."
After Watson Thompson left, I walked over to the coffin.
To my shock, the dark power in the coffin was almost gone.
"What..." I couldn’t help but stare.
I’d once thought the dark power in the coffin would never run out, but I didn’t expect Watson Thompson to suck it all up in just one go...
"Watson Thompson’s future training might be even harder than mine," I sighed.
——
For the next few days, Mason Raymond spent almost all day near the Spiritual Spring.
Every day, he tried to find a connection to the Mystic Realm.
Within three days, Mason Raymond could easily grasp the connection and quickly locate the Mystic Realm’s position.
——
"As long as I find a way to open the Mystic Realm, it’ll be mine," I thought to myself.
Right then, Bella Tad walked over from far away.
"Mason Raymond, the man with the mustache is back," Bella Tad said.
I nodded, saying, "Let’s go. Let’s check it out."
We both headed to the Great Hall, where the man with the mustache was sitting and drinking tea.
I quickly walked up to him and asked, "How is it? Did you find all the stuff?"
Man with the mustache spoke proudly, "For me, this was easy!"
"Alright, let’s not waste time. Let’s get going," I said.
Man with the mustache complained, "Why are you always rushing? I just got back..."
"We don’t have much time," I shook my head helplessly.
I went back to my room and brought Watson Thompson to the Great Hall.
"Let’s go," I said to Man with the mustache.
Man with the mustache looked at Watson Thompson, his eyebrows pulling together.
"You... have broken through?" the man with the mustache asked carefully.
Watson Thompson nodded and answered, "Yes, I just got to the Military Marquis Realm a few days ago."
Man with the mustache’s face turned ugly, and there was jealousy in his eyes.
Then, he pulled me to the side and led me outside the Great Hall.
"Are you going to the Immortal Slaying Sect for her?" Man with the mustache asked with a frown.
I nodded, "That’s right. There’s a tomb of the masked woman there. If she’s really the masked woman, maybe..."
"...we can find some related memories," Man with the mustache cut me off.
He looked at me coldly, saying, "If Watson Thompson really finds the masked woman’s memories, have you thought about what you’ll do?"
I frowned and scratched my head, "That’s not possible, right? Even if she’s connected to the masked woman, they’re not the same person."
