Chapter 707: Chapter 707 Snatch Mabel Sean

Alexa Madron’s words really got to me.

Even if I managed to find the Mystic Realm, I had no clue how to get Mabel Sean out of there.

What’s worse, I’d already screwed up too many times.

Going up against the powerhouse that was the Capital City Martial Arts Association? Even giving it everything I had, saving Mabel on my own seemed like a pipe dream.

Unless the Capital City Martial Arts Association just vanished from existence.

But that’d take forever, and there was zero chance of that happening before I hit Martial Saint level.

"Mr. Raymond, what’s your take?" Alexa Madron pressed.

I looked up and said seriously, "What’s the catch? What do you want from me?"

Alexa Madron sipped his water and smiled slightly. "Our goal’s pretty straightforward. We want to be friends with Mr. Raymond because we see huge potential in you."

That answer left me stumped.

Alexa Madron sounded genuine enough, but something felt off - like there was some scheme lurking underneath.

After thinking it over, I said firmly, "Fine. As long as you can save Mabel Sean, I’ll agree to whatever."

"Hahaha!" Alexa Madron lit up.

He got up, walked over to me, and grabbed my hand. "Here’s to a great partnership!"

"Wait a sec," I suddenly switched gears.

"You guys from Michelle Sect keep saying you’d shower me with resources, right?" I asked.

Alexa Madron nodded. "Absolutely."

"Good." I nodded back.

"I need a ten-thousand-year-old medicinal herb right now. The Michelle Sect wouldn’t turn me down, would they?" I said with a grin.

Alexa Madron’s face went dark when he heard that.

Angela Tamara snorted. "Ten-thousand-year-old herbs? Do you have any idea what that means? When stuff like that shows up, it’s enough to get all the Great Families scrambling! And you’re just asking for one like it’s nothing?" 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

I rolled my eyes. "Tsk, then what’s all this talk about pouring resources? What can you actually do for me in the end?"

That one line shut Angela Tamara right up.

"Mr. Madron, no big deal if you can’t handle it," I said.

After dropping that bomb, I turned to walk out.

Alexa Madron quickly jumped in my way.

He laughed nervously. "Mr. Raymond, like Angela said, ten-thousand-year-old herbs are seriously significant. Even for the Michelle Sect, it puts us under major pressure. I’ll need to run this up the chain. How about you wait for my answer?"

"Sure," I leaned back with my hands behind my head, acting casual.

"In three days, I’ll have Stella Lucas bring you word," Alexa Madron said.

"Alright, I’ll be waiting for the good news," I nodded.

Then I turned and walked out of the Great Hall.

The Michelle Sect had probably cleaned out all the good stuff from this Mystic Realm, and after doing a full sweep, I came up empty-handed.

So I saw no point hanging around and left the Mystic Realm.

——

Once Mason left, Alexa Madron’s expression turned ice-cold.

"Mr. Madron, do you really think Mason Raymond will work for us?" Angela Tamara said coldly.

"I don’t think it’s likely either. Mason Raymond’s too rebellious - he’ll never be one of us," others added.

Alexa Madron snorted. "Enough talk. I have my own plans."

With that, Alexa Madron turned and left the Great Hall.

In his room, a man in black robes was waiting.

The man’s face was hidden by some technique, making it look like a black void at first glance.

"How’d it go? Did he agree?" the black-robed man asked coldly.

Alexa Madron nodded. "He agreed, but he’s got a condition - wants a ten-thousand-year-old medicinal herb."

"Ten-thousand-year-old herbs... hmph, even we at the Michelle Sect don’t have many of those," the black-robed man said coldly.

Alexa Madron frowned. "So what do we do? If we can’t get this herb, Mason Raymond might back out anytime."

After a pause, the black-robed man said, "We might not have the herbs, but we can tell him where to find them."

"Whether he can actually get them is up to his own luck."

Alexa Madron nodded slightly, then asked with confusion, "Is it really worth paying this kind of price for Mason Raymond?"

"You know that if we actually help him save Mabel Sean, it means going head-to-head with the Capital City Martial Arts Association."

"Not to mention... Mason Raymond could betray us anytime."

The black-robed man sneered. "Do you really think we’re doing this to help him?"

Alexa Madron looked puzzled. "Then what?"

The black-robed man snorted. "We’re doing this to snatch Mabel Sean from the Capital City Martial Arts Association!"

"Snatch Mabel Sean?" Alexa Madron grew even more confused.

The black-robed man said casually, "With Mabel Sean in the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s hands, we can’t make a move, and we can’t figure out where they’re keeping her. Only through Mason Raymond can we find Mabel Sean."

Alexa Madron frowned. "Didn’t you say Mabel Sean was trapped in a Mystic Realm?"

"Right, but the Capital City Martial Arts Association controls way too many Mystic Realms. We can’t search them all," the black-robed man explained.

"And we don’t even know where their Mystic Realms are located!"

"Once Mabel Sean gets pulled out of the Mystic Realm, Mason Raymond becomes useless to us."

Alexa Madron finally got it.

He said with surprise, "So when you said earlier that Mabel Sean was locked in a Mystic Realm, you were...?"

"Guessing," the black-robed man said matter-of-factly.

"The Capital City Martial Arts Association would definitely stick her in a Mystic Realm - it’s the safest spot."

Alexa Madron couldn’t help being amazed. "Just what kind of background does this Mabel Sean have for us to go through all this trouble?"

The black-robed man chuckled. "Put it this way - once we have Mabel Sean, our Michelle Sect won’t need to hide overseas anymore."

This stunned Alexa Madron even more!

A woman who’d never practiced martial arts could have that kind of impact?

It was mind-blowing!

——

After leaving the Mystic Realm, Stella Lucas said apologetically, "Mr. Raymond, you won’t hold a grudge about the Angela Tamara thing, will you? The Michelle Sect still hopes you’ll join us."

I smiled slightly. "Of course not. Besides, I killed plenty of Michelle Sect people, so their attitude couldn’t be too friendly."

"Actually, if they were being overly humble, that would make me suspicious."

Stella Lucas nodded with a smile. "That’s good to hear."

I wasn’t in any rush to leave Gyeon City - planned to wait for Alexa Madron’s news.

If I could actually get a ten-thousand-year-old medicinal herb, this trip would be worth it.

That night.

I sat alone on a mountain range in Gyeon City.

Bathed in white light, my breath slowly cycled through my body.

"With my current condition, I’ve got enough strength to break into mid-term Military Marquis realm," I thought, sensing the energy flowing inside me.

But I didn’t rush the breakthrough - kept suppressing that energy instead.

Advancing too fast into mid-term Military Marquis would hurt my chances for later breakthroughs.

I planned to wait for the right moment - one that could shoot me straight into late-term Military Marquis realm.
