Chapter 702: Chapter 702 A World Within Worlds
When I heard Stella Lucas’s words, I quickly spun around.
"Where is she?" My voice carried a hint of urgency.
Stella smiled softly. "This doesn’t really seem like the right spot for talking, does it?"
I frowned, but despite my restlessness, I led Stella to a nearby café.
After we ordered two coffees, I immediately pressed, "Can you tell me now?"
Stella sipped her coffee, then spoke in a serious tone. "Based on our intel, Miss Sean is still at the Capital City Martial Arts Association."
"That’s impossible," I shook my head.
"I went to the Capital City Martial Arts Association myself, and I used my divine sense to search for Mabel, but I didn’t find her," I said firmly.
Stella wasn’t rushed. She smiled and asked, "Mr. Raymond, have you thought about the possibility that the Capital City Martial Arts Association might house a small world or Mystic Realm?"
"A small world?" I was stunned.
For me, this was an entirely foreign concept, something I’d never encountered before.
Stella explained, "Yes, it’s said that a powerful realm cultivator can forge their own small world, also called a Mystic Realm."
"Human history spans ages, so naturally, there are many such Mystic Realms scattered across the world."
"And let me tell you, the true treasures are kept inside these Mystic Realms!"
"This secret can’t stay hidden much longer - officials have been sent to look into this."
My eyes widened in shock.
This completely shattered my understanding of reality.
Before now, I had never even thought about this possibility because it seemed too far-fetched!
"Are you playing games with me?" I narrowed my eyes.
"What you’re telling me - about Mystic Realms and small worlds - sounds impossible," I added.
Stella seemed to expect my reaction and wasn’t fazed. She laughed, "You don’t buy it?"
"Of course not," I replied coldly.
Stella spoke steadily, "All I can share is that the Michelle Sect controls a Mystic Realm in this country, and that’s where we’re based."
My pupils dilated sharply! I shot to my feet. "Are you serious?"
"If Mr. Raymond doubts me, you can come along to witness it yourself. True or false, you’ll decide," Stella suggested calmly, swirling her coffee cup.
My frown deepened.
Stella didn’t appear to be lying, but her claims were tough to swallow.
Plus, the bad blood between me and the Michelle Sect wasn’t new. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of following Stella so suddenly.
"Let me think about it," I said at last after weighing things over.
Stella smiled, "Certainly, Mr. Raymond. We really value working together with you."
I didn’t reply to that. I simply said goodbye to Stella and left the café right away.
——
I had publicly embarrassed Sybil Cooper, even leading to his tragic end in the Taoism Theory Library.
This news had already spread throughout the martial arts world.
Everyone was watching to see how the Capital City Martial Arts Association would respond.
Strangely, the Association stayed quiet for a long stretch.
The reason was clear: Sybil Cooper’s words had made the eight senior officials careful about their moves.
This gave me a brief break.
When evening came, I pulled out my phone and called Phoebe Billy.
As soon as he picked up, Phoebe said, "I’ve got something to tell you."
I made a sound to show I was listening.
Phoebe said, "I’m now the chairman of the Capital City Martial Arts Association."
"Congrats," I replied without much interest.
Phoebe went on, "The information Sybil revealed has gotten the higher-ups’ attention. Jagger Shah personally assigned me to find a fix."
I chuckled, "So what’s the plan?"
Phoebe, his voice serious, said, "I’m planning to work with the Capital City Martial Arts Academy and release some of the resources the Capital City Martial Arts Association controls."
The mention of the Martial Arts Academy made me tense up.
Phoebe, clearly sensing something wrong, quickly said, "Mason, you can relax - Mabel has absolutely nothing to do with the academy this time."
"Also, the Capital City Martial Arts Association doesn’t have the time or energy to go after you right now. They’ll probably stay quiet for a while."
I took a slow breath and said, "Keep going."
Phoebe continued seriously, "Before, the Capital City Martial Arts Academy had a list. It included sons from powerful families, but it wasn’t used because of your interference."
"I plan to make this group the first students, as a test run. If things work out, we’ll start accepting students openly."
I stayed quiet for a moment before saying, "Do what you want."
"Alright," Phoebe agreed.
Then Phoebe asked, "Did you need something from me?"
I took a deep breath and asked, "Tell me, does the Capital City Martial Arts Association control what’s called a Mystic Realm?"
Phoebe sounded surprised on the other end. "How did you find out?"
"So it’s real." I frowned.
"Where are these Mystic Realms?" I kept asking.
Phoebe replied, shaking his head, "I don’t know that either. The Mystic Realms should be spread out in different places around the world."
"Oh, and the Mystic Realms are also part of the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s resources."
Hearing this, I said coldly into the phone, "Phoebe, help me find out if there are any Mystic Realms near your Capital City Martial Arts Association and how to access them."
Phoebe seemed startled and asked in surprise, "Mason, what are you planning to do?"
"Don’t ask questions, just do what I’m telling you," I ordered.
After hanging up, I couldn’t help but furrow my brow.
What Stella had said was actually true.
It looked like the Michelle Sect really wasn’t something to take lightly...
For the next several days, I found myself surprisingly free.
Since Sybil’s death, everything seemed much calmer. Even the Great Families became more careful.
During these days, I didn’t leave Green Moon Villa.
After thinking it over for a long time, I finally picked up my phone and dialed Stella’s number.
When the call connected, Stella laughed on the other end, "Mr. Raymond, have you decided?"
I said in a low voice, "I want to see this so-called Mystic Realm of the Michelle Sect."
"Of course, you’re always welcome," Stella replied in a cheerful tone.
"Let’s meet at Gyeon City Airport tomorrow morning."
After saying that, Stella quickly ended the call.
Stella had claimed that the real treasures were in the Mystic Realm. What exactly was hidden there?
This sparked my curiosity.
