Chapter 690: Chapter 690 A Trade For A Life
The Martial Saint Weapon’s energy rushed toward me like a tidal wave!
Just a trace of its leftover force made me stumble backward repeatedly!
I quickly ordered Desmond to move in front of me, blocking the weapon’s remaining power.
Right then, the Prajna Ruler’s energy was already pressing down on Orr!
I sneered coldly, using my divine sense to control Orr and make him raise his palm to meet the attack!
Orr stretched out his massive hand, reaching straight for that strand of Martial Saint energy!
"You’re asking for death!" Sybil Cooper couldn’t help but yell when he saw this!
The Martial Saint Weapon’s power grew fiercer, as though it wanted to kill Orr with one strike!
But what kind of being was Orr’s body? He was the guardian of the Masked Woman’s Tomb, something far beyond any mighty realm cultivator!
His physical form was something no Martial Saint could damage!
Orr’s huge hand pushed forward, effortlessly blocking the Martial Saint Weapon’s leftover force!
That energy kept backing away under Orr’s palm!
Sybil Cooper’s eyes went wide, his face turning deathly pale!
What the hell was this? He could easily stop a Martial Saint Weapon with just his bare hand?!
Even current Martial Saints probably couldn’t do this so casually, right?
Before Sybil could snap out of it, Orr’s palm was already moving forward!
Sybil’s expression changed and he tried to run.
But how could I give him that chance? I immediately made Desmond step forward, blocking the doorway!
Desmond’s massive frame sealed the door completely.
Meanwhile, Orr reached out and grabbed the Prajna Ruler.
"You... give that back to me!" Sybil Cooper suddenly panicked!
He stretched his hand out trying to snatch the Prajna Ruler, but Orr’s palm swatted him away.
After that, Orr handed the Prajna Ruler to me.
I took the Prajna Ruler, grinning. "I didn’t expect such a nice bonus... This Martial Saint Weapon is mine now!"
Sybil Cooper’s face looked like absolute shit! Losing a Martial Saint Weapon was huge!
"Mason Raymond, give me back the Prajna Ruler! As long as you return it, I’ll agree to whatever you want!" Sybil Cooper said desperately.
I raised an eyebrow. "Alright, as long as you let me take Mabel Sean away, I’ll give you back this broken stick."
As soon as this came up, Sybil’s face darkened.
He glanced at Orr and Desmond, then took a deep breath. "Mason Raymond, there’s no way you’re taking Mabel Sean anywhere."
"No way?" I narrowed my eyes. "Sybil Cooper, do you think I came here to make a deal with you? If I wanted to, I could wipe out your Capital City Martial Arts Association without breaking a sweat!"
Sybil Cooper said coldly, "I don’t know who these two are, but let me tell you something - no matter how strong they are, they can’t take on the Capital City Martial Arts Association!"
"Cut the bullshit." I stood up.
I walked right up to Sybil Cooper’s face and said coldly, "I’ve been crystal clear. I didn’t come here to negotiate. I’m taking her with me today. Anyone who tries to stop me dies!"
After saying that, I put away the Prajna Ruler and headed for the meeting room door.
Sybil Cooper called out frantically, "Wait! Mason Raymond, give me some time to think about it, okay?"
"Stall for time? Do you think I’m stupid?" I said coldly.
The two Protectors could only last three days at most. There was no way I’d give Sybil any opening.
I controlled the two Guardians, walking toward the prison.
Sybil Cooper was freaking out, but there was nothing he could do against these two Protectors!
Even a Martial Saint Weapon couldn’t hurt them, so what could possibly stop me?
With these two Protectors, I was unstoppable - I could kill gods and destroy Buddhas.
When we reached the prison entrance, Orr threw a punch, smashing the supposedly unbreakable door to bits!
Then I walked into the prison.
"Mason Raymond? How’d you get back here?"
"No way, did they catch you again?"
People on both sides greeted me warmly.
I nodded to each of them and quickly headed toward Mabel Sean’s cell.
Soon, I arrived at the cell door where Mabel was supposed to be locked up.
Standing at the door, my face turned ugly as hell!
Because the cell was completely empty - no sign of Mabel Sean anywhere!
"Where is she? Where’s Mabel?!" I frantically checked the other cells.
"Miss Sean was taken away a few days ago," said a prisoner from the next cell over.
My face went white instantly. I gritted my teeth and rushed back toward the meeting room.
In the meeting room, just as Sybil Cooper was about to make a call, I charged over.
I grabbed Sybil by the collar and coldly demanded, "Where’s Mabel Sean!"
Sybil frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Don’t play dumb with me, you bastard!" I grabbed Sybil’s throat!
Sybil tried to fight back, but my grip was iron-strong - he couldn’t move!
"I have no clue what you’re talking about!" Sybil gritted his teeth.
"Bullshit! Mabel Sean isn’t even in the prison!" I roared in fury, my grip on Sybil’s throat getting tighter and tighter!
Sybil’s face turned red and he started having trouble breathing.
Struggling, he gasped, "I... I told you, I don’t know... If the higher-ups want someone, they don’t need my permission..."
I stared straight into Sybil’s eyes, my rage almost making me lose control.
Meanwhile, Sybil’s face was turning purple, like he might suffocate any second.
I took a deep breath and let go of Sybil.
"You better not be lying to me," I glared coldly at Sybil.
Gasping for air, Sybil replied icily, "You think I run the Capital City Martial Arts Association? You’re giving me way too much credit!"
"The higher-ups don’t need to explain shit to me, do they?"
I stood there in silence for a long time.
After a while, I grabbed Sybil and dragged him by the collar to the center of the Association’s Great Hall.
Right now, tons of Association members were in the hall.
They stared at me nervously, fear clear in their eyes.
I took a deep breath and said coldly, "Tell the higher-ups of the Capital City Martial Arts Association that I’m taking Sybil Cooper with me today. I want them to trade him for Mabel Sean."
"Three days from now, if I don’t see Mabel Sean, I’ll kill Sybil and destroy the Capital City Martial Arts Association!" I said through clenched teeth.
After saying that, I tossed Sybil to Orr.
In Orr’s grip, Sybil was like a helpless chicken, unable to budge.
I then drew my bronze sword and slashed it through the air.
A terrifying sword light shot across the Great Hall, slicing straight toward a tall building nearby!
Under this strike, the building’s roof was cut clean off. Then the whole building started shaking and trembling!
"If I don’t see Mabel Sean in three days... no one gets out alive!"
I said coldly, my voice bone-chilling, making everyone shiver.
