Chapter 676: Chapter 676 Forged in True Fire

When the man with the mustache heard my words, he looked completely lost.

He stretched out his hand, felt my forehead, and asked, "Are you... out of your mind? Do you have any clue what you’re saying?"

I stared hard at the blazing pit and said, "If this true fire can’t destroy me, then I’ve got to give it a shot."

The man with the mustache mumbled, "You’re completely insane. That’s true fire - one wrong move and you’ll be nothing but ashes."

I kept quiet, but inside me, a fierce craving burned.

If I could really forge my body into something unbreakable, even without a high cultivation level, my power would be incredible.

"Man with the mustache, you should head out first. Find me at Green Moon Villa after a while." I turned to look at the man with the mustache.

The man with the mustache said in shock, "You’re seriously going to leap into that fire pit?"

"Yeah." My mind was made up.

I tightened my fists and walked toward the blazing pit, one step at a time.

"Come look for me at Green Moon Villa in roughly a month." I spoke with total seriousness.

The man with the mustache kept grumbling, "What a lunatic, how did I ever get mixed up with a crazy person like you!"

Right when I was about to dive into the fire pit, several strong presences suddenly closed in on us!

Sensing these auras, my expression shifted slightly.

"Someone’s approaching." I said in a low voice.

The man with the mustache nodded too and said, "Their energy isn’t weak - at least mid-level Military Marquis."

I squinted my eyes and whispered, "These guys actually tracked us this far... Looks like they’re hell-bent on ending me."

The man with the mustache muttered, "I’m not hanging around for this mess, I’ll catch you at Green Moon Villa in a month."

After saying that, the man with the mustache was ready to bolt.

But right then, three figures in purple robes showed up!

A crushing presence instantly blanketed the entire desert!

The three people glared coldly at me and said, "Mason Raymond, you think running here will save you from death?"

I smirked, "So it’s the Capital City Martial Arts Association crew... You guys just won’t quit."

"Cut the chatter, today you die." One of the purple-robed figures slowly lifted his hand.

The man with the mustache next to us quickly mumbled, "I’ve got nothing to do with this, I... I’m just wandering through."

The purple-robed man glanced at him and sneered, "You’re staying put too!"

Hearing that, the man with the mustache took off! His speed was mind-blowing!

Even I had to gulp.

That speed... It might be quicker than Shrinking Ground Into An Inch!

The three purple-robed people looked where the man with the mustache had run and couldn’t help snickering, "He actually got away."

Another purple-robed person said, "Forget it, he’s just small fry. We’re here for Mason Raymond."

All three nodded together, then slowly approached me.

I stood next to the fire pit and asked coldly, "You guys really planning to kill me?"

"What do you think?" The purple-robed man sneered.

"Think that with Ignacio Richard backing you, the Capital City Martial Arts Association can’t touch you?"

Hearing those words, I couldn’t help but let out a loud laugh, "I’ve never counted on anyone protecting me! You want to kill me first? Fine, let’s do this!"

With a fierce shout, the purple-robed fighters’ auras exploded!

Anyone would’ve expected me to fight, but instead, I spun around and jumped into the fire pit.

"If you want to kill me, come down here!" I said coldly.

——

The three purple-robed men frowned slightly and immediately rushed toward the fire pit.

They peered down into the blazing pit and couldn’t help but frown, "Is this... true fire?"

"Has this kid lost his mind jumping into true fire?"

The three exchanged looks, seemingly unsure what to do next.

"Normally, anyone who jumps into true fire will definitely die, but this kid always seems to pull off miracles. We need to be careful," one said coldly.

They had written Mason Raymond off multiple times, but each time he had managed to come back.

So this time, they absolutely wouldn’t let Mason Raymond slip away easily.

After exchanging glances, one purple-robed man stepped up to the true fire.

He raised his palm and reached toward the flames.

The second his hand touched the raging fire pit, the flames roared violently, instantly devouring his palm!

The purple-robed man’s face went white, and he quickly pulled his hand back.

Even so, his palm was burned to a bloody mess, showing white bone!

"True fire lives up to its reputation..." The purple-robed man’s face went pale.

The agony in his palm made him break out in cold sweat.

"True fire can’t be fought with just flesh and bone. Under normal conditions, the kid will definitely die for jumping in," another purple-robed man said coldly.

The three men looked at each other again, unsure what to do next.

"I heard Sybil Cooper say this kid is crazy and will try anything," one purple-robed man said.

"What if he’s found a way to handle the true fire? He might actually survive unharmed in that fire pit," another added, nodding.

"Impossible, even if he got some secret technique, he couldn’t keep it up for long."

After thinking it over, the three finally decided to wait it out in front of the fire pit.

This time, they wanted to see him either alive or dead!

——

Below in the fire pit.

My body kept falling, and just the drop alone left my skin and flesh scorched!

The flames seemed triggered by my challenge, surging toward me violently and trying to stick to my flesh constantly!

The unbearable pain twisted my face!

My sweat vanished instantly from the brutal heat.

"Ah..."

Crushed by pain, I couldn’t help but groan.

I looked down at my own body. My flesh was starting to decay under the flames’ assault!

But I wasn’t worried. After reaching Golden Core Stage, I could regrow flesh and blood.

What really concerned me were my bones!

If my bones burned to ash, even if my golden core stayed intact, I would still definitely die!

This kind of pain was beyond imagination, but when it hit a certain level, it could be deadly!

Still, my determination was solid, letting me keep my eyes open and stay awake!

This only made the pain sharper.

My flesh was visibly breaking down under the flames’ relentless attack, with every bit of my flesh disappearing!

Soon, my crystal white bones showed as my flesh was almost completely burned away.

"It comes down to whether these bones can take it." I gritted my teeth, hanging on stubbornly.

If my bones also burned, then I would definitely die!

Soon, the flames wrapped around my white bones. The terrible heat made my bones ache beyond belief!

The fire covered every inch of my bones, starting to eat them away.

"Crack!"

Before long, my bones couldn’t handle the heat anymore and made a sharp cracking sound!
