Chapter 660: Chapter 660 A False Trail Of Revenge

I swept my cold gaze across the crowd, my stare cutting like a blade, forcing everyone to look away.

Then I turned toward the massive statue before me and raised my hand, crushing it to pieces in an instant.

After finishing this, I glanced at Ximena Santos and said quietly, "Patriarch Santos, I can’t linger here much longer, but don’t worry—I’ll return whenever needed."

Ximena Santos gave a dazed nod, her mouth opening as if to speak, but no words emerged.

I spun around and walked away, understanding the Great Saint Sect’s nature well enough to know the Capital City Martial Arts Association had surely planted spies inside.

Because of this, I knew it wouldn’t take long before the Capital City Martial Arts Association tracked me down.

That evening, I made my way straight toward Capital City.

——

Just as Mason had predicted, shortly after his departure, the Capital City Martial Arts Association received word.

"President Cooper, Mason Raymond showed up at the Great Saint Sect and eliminated Kira Doris," the assistant reported grimly.

President Sybil Cooper’s expression darkened as he spoke icily, "So Mason dares to surface! Track him down immediately!"

The assistant nodded. "We’ve already alerted the relevant departments. They’re reviewing surveillance footage and will contact us the moment they find anything."

Sybil Cooper rose slowly, drew a deep breath, and declared, "This time, we eliminate Mason Raymond no matter what it takes!"

Then he looked at his assistant and ordered, "Go fetch Gaile Whitman for me."

The assistant nodded. "Understood."

Gaile Whitman held the rank of purple robe in the Capital City Martial Arts Association! His power far exceeded that of black and gold robes!

With him taking action, Mason Raymond’s death was guaranteed!

Within minutes, Gaile Whitman entered from outside.

Upon seeing Gaile Whitman, President Cooper stood respectfully and said, "Mr. Whitman, I’m afraid I must ask for your assistance."

Gaile Whitman responded coldly, "Just tell me when and where."

Sybil Cooper smiled. "No need to worry—we’ve already picked up his trail and should pinpoint his location shortly."

Gaile Whitman said nothing and turned to exit.

As a purple robe, his rank matched Sybil Cooper’s.

Moreover, purple robes didn’t answer to Sybil Cooper but took orders directly from higher authorities.

——

Meanwhile, I reached Capital City the following morning.

My eyes narrowed slightly as if I was hatching a scheme in my head.

"If Phoebe Billy captures me too obviously, it’ll seem suspicious," I thought silently.

Phoebe Billy played a crucial role in my plan, and I couldn’t allow any flaws.

After thinking it through, I couldn’t help but smirk.

Next, I turned and headed in a specific direction.

In Capital City’s outskirts stood a lavish villa.

The villa belonged to none other than Hawk Thompson.

After much consideration, I had decided to target Hawk Thompson.

This would create a false impression for the Capital City Martial Arts Association: that I was seeking revenge.

As a result, my appearance near Phoebe Billy’ home wouldn’t raise any red flags.

——

Inside the villa, Hawk Thompson lounged on a courtyard sofa, rolling two walnuts in his hand.

Ever since Walton Greer had taken the Black Gold Ball, Hawk Thompson constantly felt like something was missing.

He tried to get up for a glass of water, but the task proved difficult with only one arm.

His expression turned cold as he snarled viciously, "It’s all Mason Raymond’s fault... if not for him, my arm would still be intact!"

Hawk Thompson had sacrificed an arm yet still failed to capture Mason Raymond.

Not only that, but he’d also lost his black and gold robe status and been demoted to ordinary white robe!

All of this was Mason Raymond’s doing!

"Hawk Thompson, it’s been a while," a voice called from behind.

Hawk Thompson’ face changed instantly. He whirled around frantically and shouted, "Mason Raymond! You... you actually dare to come!"

I replied coldly, "Why wouldn’t I?"

Hawk Thompson clenched his teeth and said angrily, "Mason Raymond, the Capital City Martial Arts Association is hunting you! You can’t get away! This time we won’t give you another opportunity!"

My mouth twisted into a mocking smile. "That’s exactly why I’m here to find you."

"Before they catch me, I’m going to kill every last one of you!"

Hawk Thompson’ face shifted slightly. He backed up two steps and said coldly, "Mason Raymond, I’m warning you not to do anything rash! If you leave now, I’ll act like you were never here!"

"Oh? Really? Should I be grateful for that?" I stepped closer to Hawk Thompson.

Hawk Thompson’ expression grew more panicked by the second. He wanted to alert the Capital City Martial Arts Association, but he had no chance whatsoever!

"Hawk Thompson, you despicable scoundrel, it’s time you faced the consequences," I said, my killing intent rising as I advanced step by step toward Hawk Thompson!

Golden light blazed brilliantly, and my overwhelming presence made Hawk Thompson’ hair stand on end!

"That’s enough!" Suddenly, Hawk Thompson screamed, his hand gripping black and gold light as he swung it toward me!

I didn’t dodge or retreat—I simply raised my hand to meet his attack directly!

"Clang!"

When our fists collided, the ground shook and mountains trembled!

Hawk Thompson felt sharp pain shoot through his fist, as if his bones had shattered!

"How is this possible..." Hawk Thompson’ face changed dramatically!

How could I have improved so much in just a few months!

I seemed to read Hawk’s confusion and sneered, "Come to think of it, I should thank you. Without you, I never would have obtained the treasure from the Immortal Slaying Sect."

"The Immortal Slaying Sect’s treasure?!" Hawk Thompson’ face suddenly looked like he’d swallowed something foul!

"Alright, I don’t have time to waste chatting with you. After I kill you, I need to find my next target," I said coldly.

My presence was commanding, and my fists radiated brilliant golden light!

Hawk Thompson recognized this as my signature killing technique—the Absolute Beginning Sacred Fist!

"Die!" With my furious shout, I sent a fist straight toward Hawk Thompson!

Hawk Thompson gritted his teeth, gathered his strength, and prepared to face me head-on!

At that moment, black and gold light burst from the distance, colliding with my fist. The terrifying energy instantly demolished the villa!

I frowned and looked up to see the Black Gold Ball shielding Hawk Thompson.

"That Black Gold Ball again," I muttered, my brow furrowing.

"Mason... It’s been a long time..."

Soon, a raspy voice came from behind!

I turned to see a shadowy figure.

"Walton Greer?" My mouth curved into a cold smile.

"Perfect timing—I’ll slaughter you along with him!" I said icily.
