Chapter 659: Chapter 659 Never Will I Die
This presence made my spine tingle with cold dread!
Watson Thompson had lost her usual cheerful demeanor, now radiating an icy detachment.
"Mason Raymond?!"
The instant Watson spotted me, she bolted forward.
She threw herself against my chest, whispering, "I always knew you’d survive..."
I stroked Watson’s hair gently, grinning, "Hey, don’t sweat it. Takes more than that to put me down."
Jasper Thompson watched from nearby and let out a breath, "This kid isn’t as attached to me anymore. Guess that’s what happens when children mature and find their own path, right?"
I looked Watson over completely. She’d grown taller since our last meeting and seemed far more grown-up.
"Watson, that mask... You still have it safe, right?" I asked carefully.
"Obviously!" Watson shot back.
She seized my hand and declared, "Follow me."
I trailed behind her into her bedroom.
Next, she pulled the mask from a secured little drawer.
Sure enough, this mask matched exactly what the masked woman had worn!
"I’m not sure why, but putting this mask on makes me feel weird," Watson murmured while stroking the mask.
I asked with concern, "Weird how?"
"Yeah, it’s like foreign memories are seeping into my head. Makes me feel sick," Watson scrunched her face.
As she spoke, she placed the mask over her features.
The second she wore it, I couldn’t help but back away!
The likeness was incredible, perfectly identical!
There had to be some major link between Watson and the masked woman!
"Something wrong?" Noticing my shocked expression, Watson removed the mask.
I quickly reassured her, "Watson, this mask holds serious power. Listen, you can’t breathe a word about it to anyone. If you do, you’ll be putting your life at risk, got it?"
Watson shifted uncomfortably, "Yeah, I get it..."
Her reaction gave me a sinking feeling.
"You... you haven’t already spilled to someone, have you?" I pressed urgently.
"No way," Watson denied quickly.
I remained unconvinced, but despite my questioning, Watson stuck to her story.
"Watson, I’m telling you this because I care about you. You need to guard this mask carefully, understand?" I emphasized.
Watson bobbed her head, "Yeah, don’t stress about it."
I grunted agreement and stayed quiet.
"Time’s running short; I can’t hang around much longer, so I’m heading out. I’ll drop by again when I can," I ruffled Watson’s hair.
Watson looked slightly let down, but simply nodded without protest.
——
After Mason exited Watson’s room, Jasper Thompson drew him to one side.
He clapped Mason’s shoulder, stating, "Watson might be developing feelings for you that are quite different from before, you..."
"Jasper Thompson, cut it out with the jokes. I’ve always thought of Watson like a little sister," Mason gestured dismissively.
Jasper Thompson started to respond, then exhaled with a bitter smile, "Fine, Mason Raymond, just watch yourself."
Mason grunted acknowledgment before departing.
——
I’d initially meant to check on Conrad Schroeder and the crew, but given the potential complications, I headed straight out of Chuzzle.
——
Within the Great Saint Sect, located in Cango City.
A massive statue dominated the square’s center, and it was clearly a monument to Kira Doris.
In Ximena Santos’ private quarters, Kira Doris had his palm resting on her leg.
"Ximena, you know how things stand now. Green Moon Villa is history. These days, there’s only the Great Saint Sect." Kira spoke with a sneer.
Ximena’s face showed clear revulsion, but she made no aggressive moves.
Clearly, this wasn’t Kira Doris’s first time dropping by Ximena for a "conversation".
"Kira, Mr. Raymond survived. When he comes back, you’re finished." Ximena stated icily.
Hearing this, Kira burst into loud laughter, "Big deal if Mason Raymond survived? His cockiness has gotten him into deep trouble!"
"Everyone wants his head now, you honestly believe he’s got a shot at coming back?"
At this, Ximena snorted, "Mr. Raymond always escapes impossible odds. This won’t be any different."
These words definitely sparked terror in Kira’s chest. He snarled back, "You bitch, I’ve been nice to you, don’t push your luck!"
"Let me spell it out today, if you want to live, you’ll obey me! Be my pet bird, and you can still have some comfort. If not, I’ll turn you into a toy for every guy in the Great Saint Sect!"
"You know damn well, tons of men in the sect dream about getting their hands on you!" Kira threatened darkly.
Ximena stared down Kira, then spit directly in his face.
Kira’s eyes went narrow, suddenly seizing Ximena by her locks and growling, "Worthless whore! You’re gonna learn your lesson today!"
Once he finished talking, he gripped Ximena’s hair, hauling her toward the exit!
This maniac intended to abuse Ximena publicly in front of the entire Great Saint Sect!
Pulling Ximena by her hair, he marched from the Great Hall.
But right as he hit the doorway, he crashed into a figure solid as iron.
Glancing up, he found Mason Raymond staring at him with ice-cold eyes.
Kira froze, then he staggered backwards in a hasty retreat, landing flat on his rear!
"Et...Mason Raymond!" Fear flooded Kira’s features!
——
I glared at him coldly and declared, "You piece of garbage, I should’ve finished you off from the start!"
With that, I delivered a brutal kick to Kira’s gut!
The strike packed so much power it launched Kira airborne.
His body crashed through the Great Hall, making the entire structure shake with tremendous noise!
Blood trickled from Kira’s mouth as he struggled up from the ground and tried to flee.
But there was no way he could outrun me.
In a flash, I caught him by the throat and, like gripping a dead mutt, hauled Kira into the square!
Such chaos naturally caught everyone’s attention.
Instantly, the whole Great Saint Sect gathered around!
People gasped at the sight before them, crying out together, "Et...Mason Raymond! He’s returned!"
Ximena shouted, "Mr. Raymond, everyone’s after you out there, you... you need to escape right now!"
I looked at Ximena but said nothing.
I wanted to make a loud comeback to grab the Capital City Martial Arts Association’s focus!
I dragged Kira toward the square’s center.
Kira clenched his teeth, attempting to slip away and run, but with just a flick of my hand, both of Kira’s legs snapped!
I dropped Kira on the pavement, then swept everyone with a frigid stare, announcing, "I, Mason Raymond, didn’t die, and never will die."
"This location is Green Moon Villa, not the Great Saint Sect. Anyone who dares to betray Ximena will meet Kira’s fate."
Kira parted his lips, attempting to beg for his life, but I didn’t allow him the chance to speak.
I raised my palm and immediately smashed Kira’s skull.
The horrific scene instantly drained color from every face as they started backing away in panic!
